UNILORIN should understand that it won't enjoy support from an Association its not part of. What ASSU did is completely normal.
The problem is that there is too many influence in the school from federal politicians. Hence, they control what happens in the school. Leaving some of the staffs at the mercy of some politicians.
Not joining ASUU means they are satisfied with the educational state of Nigeria and want no development that can foster development. E.g through increase in grants for research, improvent in learning environment, increase in salaries of lecturers, e.t.c.
UNILORIN is no doubt a good school (Not the best in the country though). I hope people taking sides with UNILORIN can understand this.

Plan of study
It is no gainsaying that we live in a mass(people) oriented society. Social science is a discipline that focuses on how the people behave under certain conditions and influences. As a political scientist, i am convinced more than ever before that social interaction is inescapable and a fact of human existence. To gain more insight into this therefore spikes my interest to pursue a masters in social science. The knowledge i would acquire would be utilised for the good of my country Nigeria,

However you need to specify how your knowledge will help Nigeria. (Because your last sentence, is too generalized) you have to be specific. I think.

for the guys already on the scholarship, please I want to ask if the federal government pays your allowances in time because I heard so many news that they dont pay and are owing alot of scholar. Is this true ? and how much do they pay ?

That is very true. In some countries, the scholars are owed for months. But I think they end up getting paid. Although that's after protesting sometimes. This sometimes can be tough, as some of these scholars have to start begging from other students for funds. Because in some countries, students aren't given work permit.
