@Op, I agree with you 100 percent on the MIND. Christianity is truly the religion of the mind. All the teachings of christ from love to purity centre on the mind. Luke 10:27 christ said we are to love the Lord our God with all our heart, all our strength and all your mind see also Deuteronomy 6:5 and Mathew 5:28 Though we congregate in church buildings, the actual worship of God takes place in the mind. The mind is where the temple of God is within humans and it behooves on christians to develop their minds in other to have a better christian life/experience.

@op, every person irrespective of our religious/non-religious affiliations is susceptible to mistakes and naturally humans always take delight in pointing out the faults of others which in most cases is not geared towards correction but in order to cast aspersion on the character of the persons involved. Its only a refined and renewed mind that can overcome this vice. Remember what the Bible say about the accuser of the brethren in Revelations 12:10
The overall aim of the devil is to blind as many as much soul as he can, thereby, preventing them from coming to know the truth. And by what other ways can he achieve this other than to amplify the faults of our spiritual leaders.

@op, yes its a sin and like every other sin it can be forgiven by virtue of the grace of God. But we should be mindful not to abuse this grace. Romans 6:1-4
