This is to inform all students in tertiary institutions (universities, polytechnics and colleges of education) in Nigeria that application for the 2015 edition of Gani Fawehinmi Scholarship Awards has commenced.

Treat As Urgent:

The award is for 20 (twenty) students, each of whom will receive One hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000) making a total sum of Two Million Naira (N2,000,000.00).

Criteria for Award
(1) Applicants must be poor and indigent.

(2) Applicants must be registered students of tertiary institutions in Nigeria i.e Universities, polytechnics and colleges of education.

(3) Applicants must have good academic performance

Mode of Application
(A) Each applicant shall submit an application letter, not more than two (2) pages. The letter must include the name of the candidate, course and year of study, state of origin and why the candidate believes that he or she should be given the award.

(B) The application letter must be accompanied by:

(i)A photocopy of the candidates current identity card

(ii) A letter from the candidates current head of department, including correct information on the candidates CGPA for the last academic session.

(iii) A letter from the registrar certifying that the candidate is a student of the institution.

(iv) A copy of the candidates registration form for the current semester, and

(v) Two current passport photographs

The application letter, with all the supporting documents, should be forwarded by hand or postal delivery to:

ii. Awka: Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Auditorium of School of Postgraduate Studies, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, at 10.00am

iii. Lagos: Tuesday, September 15 & Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Nigerian Law Publication House at Otunba Jobi Fele Way, C.B.D., Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos at 10.00am

Award Ceremony For Gani Fawehinmi Schorlaship 2014
Successful candidates will be awarded the scholarships on Thursday, September 17, 2015 Otunba Jobi Fele Way, C.B.D., Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos at 12.00 noon.

Kindly note that students who have once won the scholarship are not eligible.

Actually, my application was not complete. I couldn't get my profile signed. I'm still a year 1 student And of course, I don't wanna act like Jack Bauer, UNILORIN or others could have Chloe chasing me

as regards the creteria for shortlisting, I highlighted that long ago.

1. let your documents be clear. you may wish to resize to 1000x1000 pikxels.
2. use a new passport.

i think the most important one is the number one which involves a whole lot.

finally, you must understand that in winning the award, your O'level grades play a major role. eg, A1 equals 10 -12points already.
the aptitude test is but 40 percent of the whole mark.

those who got the stuff should help others na.

i have told u before, stop looking for already-made info, u may be misled. the answer to your question as to cgpa has been treated on the site. when I applied, I had no GPA at all bc none of my results was out then.I used 0.00
according to the site, you can use your GPA(i.e a semester) or 0.00 if non is available. therefore, there is even a provision for you to apply if you don't have Gpa. In your case, you can use your GPA or 0.00. the instructions on the site should be your guide not NL.

Will the profile indicate that I'm already in 200level? My HOD has never signed any of my document...

My LA (Level Adviser) knows me in person but sure can't sign for HOD without his consent.

Besides, this is exam period though will be rounded off next week... I'm just thinking out loud here

when registering on scholastica, simply choose 200l as ur level and it will reflect on ur profile when you download it.

go to www.scholastica.ng and apply. stop asking numerous questns dude, move on to the site and see things for urself for christ sake!
if u encounter a problem, you den let us put you through. we werent spoon-fed with guidelines during our time.
