Thanks! How does the profile look like? Cos my HOD won't sign that I'm already in 200level (until late September or October). How do I go about this?

register, upload all ur documents, download the profile, go to ur Hod and explain. do all these before deadline sir.

if ur hod refuses to sign before the deadline, take these steps to remedy the situation:
1. print ur profile and photocopy it.
2. take the photocopy and look for a document he(HOD) had signed before and replicate his signature.
3.upload that one while still begging him to sign the original copy.
4. once you convince him and get the original copy signed, proceed to scholastica and upload it. that process should change the photocopied one.

EFFECTS OF THE STEPS:
1. You will beat the deadline saga.
2. you will get shortlisted if you are eligible and your documents are clear (resize your documents to 1000x1000pixels except passport which will be 450x450pixels using any photo viewer or editor.)

the photocopied profile will buy you the time to get the original one. however, make sure you get the original one within one month from application deadline.
scholastica will never download your profile until you have been shortlisted for and passed their exam. then, they will download it and come to your school for verification.

the above process - as it concerns signature may be illegal but it's the only way out.

During my time, i applied and signed my profile myself ryt inside my room 5 hours to the deadline.
i later took a copy to my Hod which he signed weeks later.
The bottom line is; I got the award.

It's alright! Is Chevron now 100k? I thought it was 150k for first pay and 75k for subsequent pay

I'm done with my 100level (i.e. 2014/2015), can I apply for this present Chevron scholarship? Cos 2015/2016 is stated in scholastica page... By October, I'll be in 200level for 2015/2016 session.

It's not true. I was on Mobil, Shell and Agbami not withstanding that both Mobil and Agbami were handled by Dragnets.

total isn't administered by scholastica. thus, your friend can even have agbami, total, mtn and MUSTE. but never agbami and chevron or any other scholarship handled by dragnet solutions through scholastica.

sir, the verbal aspect was just what it was called - reasoning. basically partitioned into 5 comprehension passages with 4 questions each flowing therefrom. It has to do with your deductive reasoning ability. simply read the questions and answer the questions that follow.
sir, in answering the questions, I strongly advice you restrict your answers to what is deducible from the passage and avoid fatal inferences in arriving at conclusions.
context and content of the passage should be borne in mind.

secondly, the quantitative aspect will test your elementary but fundamental mathematical skills. during my time, we had questions from simple and compound interest, ratio, percentage, simple equation, profit and loss acc etc.

as for the sample question you requested, take yungcyrus' advice.
you may also wish to hit the PM button for the past questions I have.

finally sir, I wish to stress that the questions may be cheap but you will hardly have enough time. so, speed and accuracy is also part of the test.
therefore, avoid wasting almost all your time on a particular passage or session as all questions carry equal mark.
just know that time is vital to your success; manage it well.

if my retentive memory serves me well, we had 50minutes to answer all the questions.

So how was d exam?Did u apply in 2014?Did u write d exam in ur state?Do I have to be VERY intelligent to win the award?

hehehe, the exam was basically in two parts: verbal reasoning-20 questions and quantitative reasoning 20 questions too. i wrote the exam at Uniben on 15th march 2014, got the award on august 19th 2014 and my first payment on 20th October same year.
though you needn't be a genius to pass the exam, your best should be good enough sir.

we all hope they increase the pay bro. dunno why ours is different. 2013 awardees were paid 175k on their first payment but ours was different.

yea, your friend was right. the primary idea of scholastica is to ensure the principle of ONE STUDENT, ONE SCHOLARSHIP.

please, when did shell award you? were you part of the people that wrote exam on dec. 13th last year?
my younger bros wrote but we are yet to hear anything.

for you to be shortlisted, make sure you have CLEAR scanned copies of these documents: o'level result, jamb result and admission letter.
those are the paramount documents. I also advice you make all your documents clear. if any is blurred, you still have the time to delete it and upload a clear one. you may wish to resize all your documents(except passport) to 1000x1000pixels.

ultimately, in winning the award, your o'level grades play a major role as written exam is but 40percent of the total mark.
