You are right. Unfortunately, not everyone knows the value of a BMW car hence the poor resale value.

This BMW E39 has been in the market since May this year and still counting. Initially the Seller pegged a high price on it but he is gradually reviewing his asking price downwards.

Must every part of a used car be in perfect or same condition when the car was brand new for the vehicle to be advertised? There are people that sell there vehicles when engine and/or automatic gearbox fails and they decide to sell the vehicles in those conditions, for the new owner to buy and fix, for anyone interested. You mean those ones are certified ok? Or you mean it's wrong for them to sell their cars in those conditions, even when they pointed the issues that would need to be fixed on such vehicles to interested prospective buyers? Which is worse? That the sellers hide those faults, deceive prospective buyers and sell to them as if the vehicle have no issues or the sellers were honest in the advert about the car issues they know of, incase anyone wants to buy them in those conditions, leaving prospective buyers the power, freedom and choice to decide if they would walk away or buy and fix? It's like I am explaining myself to a 10 year old kid about how to sell a used car and buy a used car. I believe what you meant was that I was supposed to have been dishonest and lie in that video that everything about the car was perfect. Because if you are among the Nigerians that believe that every used car advertised for sale must be in same state or condition as brand new, you must be delusional. You feel so entitled to buy a cheap used car in same conditions as brand new cars. Wonderful!

With your reputation on Nairaland as an authority on Peugeot cars, I expect that when you put up a car for sale, there is no need to put a disclaimer that the advert you have put up does not certify the car to be okay? Do you understand the English language at all? You did point out some issues about the car, I took note of these issues and asked questions about how to resolve them in my earlier post but you choose to ignore them and spill these trash. You really need to grow up Ikenna, act like the man you want to be and stop being a sissy.

The engine is old and have been worked on severally. Currently, it work well but produces a very loud noise. When in motion and in gear 1, when you throttle down, it produces this knocking sound, but that sound goes away when the gear shift to the next.
Also, recently, it shorts oil a lot, as i have to top up with a 1 liter oil every 2 weeks. It smokes too, when you throttle.

Oh dear. Rebuilding it may cost more than getting a replacement. The technical expertise may be lacking too.
