Hmm, comments like this shock me. We do have a fundamental mental problem in that country. I have had to log-in just to respond to this one comment. What has the sealing of the sites got to do with 'a woman' or an 'Easterner? For people like you on here defending Emzor e.t.c, first of all, I work in the pharmaceutical industry in UK. I work for a contract manufacturer for GSK, Pfizer Norvatis e.t.c so that should clear the air on my background. One of the fundamentals of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) is supply chain control. I would want to believe you watched the full documentary of about ~45mins and not the shortened version of ~6mins. And in your own assessment and self-conviction, that 'a customer' can literally walk into a firm and order cartons of a supposedly controversial substance and walk away is OK? That your Business Development Manager (or whatever that Emzor guy's portfolio was) can literally take products from the warehouse to sell privately is ok? Products that were manufactured with company resources? That only exposes the leakages in this companies supply chain structure. They cant keep tabs on their products or account for the numbers manufactured or where it leaves the factory to. And YES, it is a serious problem that warrants revoking of licence. Do you know over here, the supply chain is so controlled that it is possible to perform a class 1 recall i.e it is possible to recall drugs that are later discovered to be life-threatening from store shelves worldwide within 24hrs? Every manufacturer KNOWS who they sell to, hence, the possibility to perform such recalls. carpmam: |
Hmmm..bro...you wrote 'as a smart girl...which she feels she is'....'. Yes...indeed she is. Infact smarter than you I'm sorry to say. But not for the traffic, what would you have known? Immediately she started telling you concerns about them bringing someone else into the room....your question to her would have been, what exactly is her business if they bring or not? Yes, they were rude, ok..you don't patronise them anymore or lodge a complaint. Lets even leave the cheating, what if that room was burgled? You think you won't have questions to answer? Well..I'm sorry to hear what happened. I myself have 'spent time' with my girl in the morning...and come evening..she was receiving somewhere else (that one weak me). It turns out she was the one who even paid for the hotel that evening cos the guy promised to pay back but never did (a guy who couldn't even afford to pay the night bills). But anyways...life continues!! |
Yes you can. I used my UK driving license in Nigeria when I visited home for christmas (2016). As a confirmation, I was even stopped by FRSC (Road Safety) Officials and I produced the license upon request which was acceptable to them. I got busted for something else though. My passenger wasnt wearing his seat belt (I didnt notice this earlier). |
I went to print some docs and saw this message from the IT/Engr. dept on the printer. This oyibos sef!!!

Though writing from a different environment, I graduated last year with 3rd class from a UK uni and got a job in a multinational pharmaceuticals here in UK just abt 4 months after graduation. Within dis period, i had abt 10 interviews..and still had 2 that i cancelled after securing the job. Thing is i learnt from every failed interview. My 1st/2:1 mates were struggling to even get 1 interview. I always say if you dont get an interview, its probably not your fault because ders damm too many people and your chances are like 0.1%. But if you get to an interview and you dont make it, then its your fault. For whatever reasons, you just missed an 80% chance to showcase amongst the very few choosen. My secret? I looked at the job description/key responsibilities and knew what I had matching exactly what they need(even if not in full, I made it look full on a well written 3/4 page cover letter). I made them want to hear more from me. My cover letter ended like "realising the limitations of a written page, I would welcome an interview opportunity with you so I can discuss in more details how I meet your person specification". I also deliberately removed my grade from my CV (you know why). On the interview, the hiring manager was basically looking for sum1 with good communications skills, attention to details, team player. I worked at a call centre part time while in uni hence I wasnt short of examples. I explained at de interview that communication is not only ability to write/speak good english. You need to be in constant touch with your manager/team on any progress/setbacks. In terms of attention to details, I had an internship yr in a hospital doing abt 30% role similarity with the vacancy (I think its 5months in Naija..and I encourage undergraduates to make it a MUST to secure an internship place). I gave them examples of my daily task where my attention to details where constantly on guard (any flip na to inject wrong drug for patient be that ohh). I even went further to mention the trouble(s) I found myself in when I failed to pay attention to details during my internship and how I learnt/recovered from them (offcourse no one is perfect and you need to demonstrate that part of you. Be careful, dont expose too much). Some damages are manageable..and can be understood..not the types that soil the company's or your reputation. And after a week of interviewing other candidates, gbam, I was called and offered the job(along with a work visa). Some of my naija 1st class and 2:1 mates returned home or went on to masters or are still hunting (in frustration). Some sent me thier CV's to tweek it for them. Theres a thin line between being smart and intelligent fellas. Maximise your smart potentials and you will make it. Look around the top nocths(sp) around you and you will see its the simple truth. |

My white girlfriend has been giving me cards for de past 3years. Valentines, birthday, christmas, new year, our anniversaries..name it..and i hang them on the wall. Recently i tore one of de cards cos it kept falling off. I changed to a new location too and she came visiting. I told her i destroyed one card and she should guess which one it was. She stared at the wall for few secs and to my suprise..she said de exact card. It was one she gave me two months into out relationship. Goshhh..i was shocked at such memory. |
I think that is the difference in our societies. Here in UK, Even with a 3rd class (due to my last minute poor gambling on exams questions), I got a job in a multinational pharmaceutical just 4months after graduation last year. I had series of interviews even more than my mates with better. What helped was dat i had done a year placement (what you call industrial attachment in Nigeria) in a hospital after 2nd yr and so by graduation, i had a yr's experience. Moreover, my employers were looking for 3 main qualities. A bioscience degree holder, good communication skills and attention to details. I was able to demonstrate how i met all this in my cover letter, cv and the interview. While at uni, I worked part time in a call center so i had loads of good communication examples to give. I was able to use examples from my placement where i gave proper attention to details. This little skills helps be it from anywhere. I only pray the lord visits you soon though. It would be nice letting us know what your degree was on too..? |
