pazienza: Stop writing rubbish. At no point did Arochukwu belong to Ibibio people. The people Aros had dealings with were Eburutu( Efiks) and not Ibibios. The both groups lived side by side until the Eburutu people left. Mister man, go and read Aro history. Present-day Arochukwu was inhabited by a Proto-Ibibio group until the Aros and Abam people arrived and waged a campaign that culminated in the Aro-Ibibio wars. Go and read and stop arguing! |

gidgiddy: So hundreds of years ago, the area now known as Arochukwu was called 'Ibom', and Igbos invaded, drove Ibibios out, took over the place and called it Arochukwu? That the narrative you want people to believe?
Igbos don't operate that way, there's no history of Igbos fighting to drive out an Indigenous population and take it over their land.
What I believe happend was that Aros wanted to settle on a virgin land, Ibibios laid claim to it, and there was a battle, Aros won and kept the land. There's no way Aros would have gone through the trouble to driving out Indigenous people of a land hundreds of years ago when there was still plenty of virgin lands owned by nobody Lmao. What do you mean by Igbos don't operate that way? Prior to the coming of Northern European imperialists, was there anything like an Igbo identity let alone a common mode of operation? Why do you think there are scores of Igboid subgroups like mine who reject the Igbo tag? In the past, the people referred to as Igbos today were very heterogenous. Some Igboid communities had a centralized leadership system with Obis, Ezes, and Igwes holding absolute power while some Igboid communities were acephalous and decentralized. Many Igboid dialects were not even mutually intelligible and their cultures were very different from each other. Even the theories behind the existence of the "Igbo" people are so much that nobody knows their actual origins, yet you think under these complex circumstances "Igbo" people had a common mode of operation? Mister man, go and make some research about the origin of Arochukwu then you will understand why an Aro man is more closely related to the Akwa-cross people than an "Igbo" man from Anambra. There's so much to your history that you don't know. |

zero8zero: It makes them land grabbers. You can't gloss over it. Lmao. What more do I expect from a Tinubu supporter like you? Based on your logic, the Yorubas of the Old Oyo empire were equally land grabbers because they waged expansionist campaigns, same applies to the Igalas who made incursions Southwards and the Hausa-Fulanis. Good read! |

zero8zero: They're still land grabbers. The reason Spanish, Argentines, Red indians also do taunt Britain as land grabbers. If you settled on another man's land through barbaric acts, you're a land grabber. The same Spanish people who according to your logic have grabbed numerous lands in the new world? Based on your logic, every single ethnicity on the face of the earth is land grabber because they all stole/conquered lands in one way or the other. |

gidgiddy: Arochukwu was known as Ibom? You guys make me laugh. Ibom is a forest miles from Arochukwu
So other parts of Arochukwu such as Ndi-okoroji, Amasu were known as what? Man, stay humble and learn. Ibom is an Efik-Ibibio word. It was used to name several Efik-Ibibio settlements and Arochukwu was one of them. Atp, I'm tired of bantering with non-Aro people because every Aro man knows this about their land. |

gidgiddy: It was never Ibibio land, otherwise, it would not be called Arochukwu. Ask any Ibibio the name of the place, and they say 'Arochukwu'. If it ever belonged to Ibibios, don't you think they would have given it an Ibibio name? I don't know where you are from, but I'm sure you're not from Abia or surrounding areas because every knowledgeable Abian knows that Arochukwu was Ibibio land just as present-day Turkey was inhabited by the Greeks of the Byzantine empire. Arochukwu was known as Ibom in the past until Crossriver Igbo forces connived to conquer the land and renamed it as Arochukwu just as Turks renamed Costantinople as Istanbul |

Using the word "Land grabbers" for the analogy you used is screaming quintessential low IQ man. Who doesn't know that in the past tribes waged war against each other for expansionist agendas? Paraman: Arochuku is Ibibio land Lmao, Arochukwu was ibibio land in the past, but the Ibibios were defeated in the Aro-Ibibio wars that occured hundred of years ago at the same time when various tribes and nations were waging expansionist campaigns. However, today's inhabitants of Arochukwu are mostly half Igbo and half Efik-Ibibio genetically. This applies to many people from the eastern part of Abia state. A native of Eastern Abia state is more closely related to the Akwacross people than an Igbo man from Anambra or Delta. |

Bwanasaraw: By the year 2030 Russian women wiill no longer be seeing Russian men to marry
What African leaders fail to understand is that the Russia & China they are romancing with also have some form of imperialism in them. Not some form of. They're staunch imperialists. The Russians you see today colonized almost every country in the Caucasus from Azerbaijan to Georgia to Kazkhstan down to even Belarus, Lithuania, and Latvia in Eastern Europe. This is why in all of these countries I mentioned Russian is one of the most spoken/primary languages and there are millions of people in these countries who descended from Russian invaders. People in these countries hate Russia the same way many Francophone Africans hate France. As for China, they're economic imperialists. They're the worst of them all because they're sleek, stealthy, and very insidious. |
