Lifestone:That is Lagos. |
shigishege:I am not jobless like the person who opened the thread; I barely even have time to reply you so....Imagine me going online to copy and paste the list of movies people who don't give me money acted. You think everyone is thoughtless?? If you can't use your Google, then don't disturb me. BTW, no Nigerian male in Hollywood is as influential as Chiwetel Ejiofor and no Nigerian female as Carmen Ejogo, so if you don't know them then we shouldn't even be having this conversation. |
shigishege:Stop crying . Tracy Ifeachor was in the originals, and I'm sure you don't know because she is Igbo ![]() |
shigishege:You are the biggest clown on planet Earth! It's your type that not only fails examination repeatedly but fail with answers given. Can't you see that I'm replying someone who said that Igbos have no Hollywood actors? Or were you blind when someone used this platform to degrade Igbos?? And you want the movies they acted? Then Google it! Most of them are very popular and big actors and actresses known all over the UK and US Entertainment industry, so if you follow those industries you should know them merely by looking at their names. Yes, all Nigerian tribes are represented in the United States, but some are overrepresented! So you can go and cry elsewhere. |
shigishege:LIST OF SOME IGBOS I KNOW IN HOLLYWOOD(THERE ARE STILL MORE) *Cynthia Chinasaokwu Erivo *Megalyn Ebubennem Echikunwoke *Tracy Ifeachor *Uzoamaka Aduba *Yvonne Orji *Ego Nwodim *Carmen Ejogo *Steven Cole *Enuka Okuma *Godfrey Danchimah *Sonni Chidiebere *Chiwetel Ejiofor *Nonso Anozie *Ashley Madekwe *Joey Akubueze *Greta Onieogou *DeObia Oparei *Ify Nwadiwe *Chibuikem Uche *Osi Okerafor *Obi Abili *Ngozi Paul *Susan Nwokedi *Chinonye Chukwu *Chukuma Modu *Chike Okonkwo *Caroline Chikezie *Chris Obi *Sophie Okonedo *Annette Ngozi ilonzeh *Phina Oruche *Kerry Washington-Asomugha UPCOMING ONES *Ken Nwosu *Alexis Chikaeze *Uzoamaka Ojukwu If you actually believe that the Igbo tribe with one of the largest African presence in the United States will have only three Hollywood actors, then you need a medical checkup. This list is just the one I know; there are still maaany Igbos in Hollywood....Anything that is domiciled in the United States, expect to see Igbos en masse. |
xrenzy:Hugo Weaven is a British man who was born in Nigeria |

johnmartus:I am not Igbo, but this is the most ignorant comment I've seen in years. Are you even aware that there are over 50 Igbos in hollywood? |
Fulani woman from Senegal.... : ![]() |
IjobaofAjegunle:Then you don't know what you are saying. Generally, Ajegunle has produced a lot of talents. However, in football, I know of two other places that have produced more Footballers. |
TheEnygma:And don't forget they both attended Lincoln University and University of Pennsylvania in USA |
robosky02:We move tho. |
TooNoisy:People like you are a disgrace to humanity. A post about Efe Ajagba loosing and you are already bringing tribalism into it? What is the relationship between this post and tribalism?? What?? And mind you, the Nigerian with the best World Heavyweight record is Ike Ibeabuchi, an Igbo, dude recorded 20 wins in 20 fights. |
Mstravelindiva:Wooow . BUT did your DNA Test reveal your possible Nigerian ethnicities? |
TimeTraveller:That's none of my business! Being Ohaneze Ndi Igbo of Lagos or Ohaneze Ndi Igbo women leader was supposed to attract the Delta Igbo clause based on your theory, but you see how it went! |
TimeTraveller:BUT how come she takes Abia State ministerial slot, and no one cries? Isn't Abia an Igbo state? Some of you just come online to cry and say thrash! When Pat Utomi from Anioma in Delta State was the leader of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo in Lagos, did anyone remind him he was "Delta Igbo?" What of Regina Daniels mum from Anioma in Delta State, who became leader of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo women in Nigeria, did anyone deny her the post because she is Delta Igbo? Sometimes it's better to keep mute in matters you know nothing of! |
Visman:Is Delta State an ethnic group? Some of you make me so ashamed to share same digital space with you. When did a heterogenous state become someone's ethnic identity? Can I then say I'm Rivers by tribe because I'm from Rivers, forgetting my Ikwerre heritage? If you are still doubting Ngozi's ethnicity, read her book, she stated she is IGBO clearly; she also did same on BBC Igbo. Moreover, she is married to my mum's place in Umuahia, Abia State, meaning she is now fully Abian. Just like my mum who was Abian is fully from Rivers because she is married to my dad from Rivers. This is the same reason Ngozi takes Abia State ministerial slot! |
Abia State has really produced good footballers, from Kanu Nwankwo, to Ikechukwu Uche to this guy to Samuel Chukwueze, etc, and to think it's also the home of Enyimba, Nigeria's most successful football club! That state is really doing well in football aspect, I'm proud of my mum state ![]() |
Hangmnk:Burna Boy is Ekpeye from Rivers State, that he sings in Yoruba doesn't make him Yoruba. Moreover, the fact that even though you know this, you chose to limit the tribes in the South to two, shows how arrogant you yourself are! |
Tmb78:I have never attacked Yorubas knowingly, I just had to defend my mum's people. My mum is Igbo from Abia State, but I'm Ikwerre! |
streetsoldier1:Man, I'm not Igbo, but I've got to say something! What matters is the person who came first, the rest are just there so they wouldn't be disregarded of their hardwork. However, I've noticed a trend, for the last three years, the best in JAMB have all been Igbos. This year, it's Chibuike, last year, it was Egoagwuagwu Maduafokwa, in 2019, it was Ekene Ezeunala. Give accolades when due, Igbos are really doing well! So are Yorubas! |
itsene:That's your business man! Go there and tell them |
Terrence99:That's how some Igbos behave. If Igbos can disparage themselves within the South East, then how much more doing so against Igboid communities outside the South East? Moreover, let's not forget that Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is also Anioma, but I haven't seen any Igbo person seggregate her, same with Okocha. |
Terrence99:Your theory makes no sense. Name is of no way of measuring someone's ethnicity, rather their culture and history. We Ikwerres have a lot of culture similarities with people from Southern Igbo land(Abia and Imo states), but why we don't regard ourselves as Igbo is due to our history. The same can't be said of Aniomas, they are both Igbos by culture and history. I find it hard to differentiate an Anioma man from an Anambra man, that's to show you the similarities. Moreover, that name "Ojo" is a name native to people of Eastern Abia State, the pronounciation is different from the Yoruba "Ojo." Amaechi's Rotimi is an adopted name. "Amaechi" is his real name because it's an Ikwerre name. We should all know our history in this country. |
Newton85:I never said that, read what I wrote. The same way not all Afro-Brazilians are Yorubas or Kongos is the same way not all Barbadians are Igbos. |
Biodun556:What concerns BBC Yoruba with Rivers State? The earlier you Yorubas mind your business, the better! Very foolish set of myopic fools. |
Monogamy:Until he says so. Not all Brazilians are of Yoruba or Kongo descent. Moreover, Neymar is mixed breed, he has European ancestors. |
Monogamy:How does Brazil relate to Yoruba, that is the same way Barbrados relates to Igbo. Sometimes, I wonder why we were never taught about the Atlantic slave trade at school, some of you think Igbo, Yoruba, Ibibio, and many other coastal or semi-coastal tribes in Nigeria starts and ends here. Go and research bro and stop disgracing yourself |
PrinceOfLagos:Barbrados had a lot of influx of slaves from the Igbo and Ibibio homelands, so it's possible |
franciskaine:This guy, you are a staunch olodo. Though I'm not from Anambra, my question is, have you been to Anambra? Because it looks obviously not! And did you attend economics classes because you sound foolish. |
By what criteria?
. He is from Abia State

, I’m happily married to an amazing Igbo man!
