Bro hw can I as an individual tackle internet service problem in Nigeria? am I the federal government or am I an ISP. Give me insights, I want to know maybe we can work on this together.

But do you think organizers of an event will want to pay for someone to cover their event and post it on a website so that those that couldn't make it to the event will see what happened in the event? how do you see live event streaming?

@zamara7 thanks for your comments I like ladies venturing into tech @silemper. I also thank you for your review at least, I've not seen a website with these features in one website where your friends can cover events and you can see what happened on the events as if you never missed the event.

CreativeWeb: Is this different from people posting their pictures on facebook and their friends in far and near will automatically be updated? They will not even need to search anything. They will just visit ur wall and see all the pictures. They can also upload their videos on youtube. You are talking about video clips, when one may like to upload 30 minutes video of a wedding event. Can your server carry these heavy videos? One can even privately send those pictures via email to his loved ones.
Here is a better idea. It's www.happenings.ng. People can register and then login to upload video clips (1 to 5 minutes) of anything they see happening in their environment or wherever they are. Like video clip of Aluu killing, policeman taking #20, conductor and passenger fighting, reps fighting in the house, students rally, armed robbery, traffic holdup, etc. You will make the video clips to be maximum of 5 or 10MB. People will be delighted to visit www.happenings.ng everyday to watch lastest and trending video clips of happenings around the country. People can then like the video clip or share to facebook.

Yea, Ur talking about different ways of information sharing, facebook, youtube, email. What I mean is, having a website dedicated to only events, where people can share their event moments with the rest of the world during or after the event. The owner of the website can charge a fee, to cover an event if the host can't cover the event efficiently. that doesn't stop you from using other media. osile2012: It Seems like you are more interested in coding than design. If that is the case, u have to work on your CSS style to reduce the font size and give spaces , else there are plenty of free forum platforms you can deploy and customize to your own needs .

adewasco2k: as much as it is inappropriate to have a keyword in your domain name which is not really represented on your site, it really doesnt determine the success of the site to some extent.
like its kinda inappropriate for nairaland to be londonland.com if it was meant for Nigerians but do you think nairaland success can be linked to the domain name nairaland.com?
Its ok to have a cool domain name which represents or define your site, even though it might not determine the overall success of your forum.
so if you have gallery in your domain name and your site has nothing to do which gallery then its just okay to change the domain name, domains are cheap

The problem is, people percieve it to be just a gallery for sharing pictures and videos, ignoring the other aspects of the website.

adewasco2k: only a trial will judge but to me if you leave it the way it is, trust me people will look at it as a normal forum which we have thousands of unsuccessful once already, so i think you should leave the name and redesign the site to accommodate the earlier idea you started

Thanks man, but I intended it to be a forum where people can share reports, images and video clips of their events, but I could'nt get a good free domain name for the website, so after searching for names for a long time, I made the mistake of choosing myeventsgallery but right now, I'm confused I don't know whether to go with the gallery and make it more of a gallery than a forum, or to look for another name, and still retain the forum-like design. Which do you think is better, that people will really love to use I know you've giving me enough insights, but just this once.

yes it s forum but i must not look like nairaland.
The concept is cool for sure but what i expected wasnt the conventional forum-like site.
Its shold be flashy, home page should be just link-texts, i expect pictures and videos

Thanks I appreciate your honest words, but do you think changing the name (removing gallery from the name and keeping the design as it is) will be better or changing the design to accommodate more of images and videos (using the same name), pls do reply.
