I'm from Rivers state, and i'll be damned if Biafra or republic of Alaigbo is created and i'll be left behind in 'one Nigeria' or be made to share a new country with others in a new Izon or Niger Delta republic; i wish them well, but Igbos in Rivers will be part of the new Igbo nation! they are 5 not 4. If countries like togo, lome and guinea can survive as a country how much more the eastern states. Those countries are not bigger than kano in nigeria. As for biafra in ojukwu's time, the igbos thought they could involve the southern states but at the end those southerners became traitors. Rivers state and cross rivers where the first to surrender to the nigerian army and through them, the nigerian govt effectively carried out a blockade which prevented food supplies from reaching the eastern states and as such the igbos couldn't fight on empty stomach so they had to surrender. Igbos who had property in portharcourt before the war lost all to portharcourt indigens when the war ended. Then the discovery of crude oil later in the 70's in south south nigeria cause more segregation among the southern and eastern states. Any igbo man now including south south as part of biafra is ignorant of history.

How many state are in Biafra?

the states of biafra are the igbo speaking states which are anambra, imo, enugu, abia and ebonyi. I have been with ijaw ppl, and they never believe for one day that the igbos and ijaws are the same. Our culture, language, and foods are different. Gej is not an igbo man, he is ijaw and he will never support biafra.

madam take am easy. No name calling. But do you know that before nigeria can break apart, the same ppl who put it together will be consulted and they must agree if not we will continue to be one country? It's just like a man who marries a wife and they both have children then the woman wants to divorce because the marriage isn't working, the man must be consulted and he will agree before the divorce will take place. So before nigeria can break, britain must agree if not, we will be making empty noise abt biafra.
