Guys I did my biometrics on 27th August and got refused today 4th September just 1week to get denial

Reason " They said the applicant stated business purpose is insufficiently substantiated" further more, " I am not satisfied the applicant provided reliable proof of employment or income"

Note: I used conference invitation letter
Sometime last year you said your friend was already working in a healthcare company in Canada and that he didn’t pay more than $5,000. So why are you now using a bogus conference invitation letter that IRCC already knows is not genuine business trip , instead of using the same route your friend used? Or did your friend not tell you the full truth?

I believe Canada has all the capacity and resources to make all Canadians and immigrants comfortable/stable but human life can never be balanced if there is no rich, middle class and poor.....

Inshort there must be certain numbers of poor people needed in a nation.

And ask yourself: why not Congo or other conflict regions in the world why only Ukraine? Do you really think the majority of Canadians are happy with this senseless spending while they face heavy taxes and a soaring cost of living?”

Because it is their nature. Americans (USA & Canada) are not selfish, regardless of their own personal issues. That is why you and I and others are able to apply for immigrant visas. Otherwise, why would they bring more people into their countries if they needed to manage money ?

Forget about Canada unresolved crisis because the crisis will never be resolved. Tell us one country in this world with perfect economy and zero lapses area ?

Canada will remain the top 10 index of the best countries to live in till the end of the world. 👍
Personally, I disagree and believe this amounts to money laundering. A wise government would not ignore its own problems while pouring billions into a baseless war that cannot be won, instead of pursuing a peaceful resolution!!

Ad hominem, ad hominem, ad hominem. FYI, I live in Canada. Let me see what other excuse you'd use.

I'm not doubting your belief that he'd be out of the door. Afterall, even at the end, folks here believed he didn't stand a chance and PP was coming out top.

Things are tough for many but fixing an advanced economy requires pragmatism not chasing the next populist idea. We've seen where an extremist fuelled need for change pushed the UK (i.e Brexit) and now the U.S (i.e Trump).

I hope you're not advocating he does whatever Trump demands including forgoing our sovereignty.
A country without economic sovereignty is just a state within a state, no matter how much it waves its flag. If you can’t control your own economic destiny, you’re simply operating under someone else’s rules and that’s not real independence.

Good day everyone. So I'm here for advice, the visa above was denied and the reason they gave for the denial made no sense. The purpose of visit was to attend their child and brother's wedding. 2 parents and 2 siblings aged between 19 and 25 were invited with 59 year old parents.

Denial reason -

Thank you for your interest in coming to Canada. I have reviewed your temporary resident visa (visitor visa) application and supporting documentation to assess whether you meet the requirements for a visitor visa (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/
services/visit-canada/eligibility.html). This includes assessing whether you are coming to Canada temporarily for the reason(s) you describe in your application. I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/l-2.5/index.html) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR) (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/
index.html). I am refusing your application.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as required by paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/SOR-2002-2271
section-179.html). I am refusing your application because you have not established that you will leave Canada, based on the following factors:
Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel
for yourself (and any accompanying family members), if applicable).

We really need the parents of the groom to attend the wedding as the bride to be's parents have been approved. What do you advise we do differently when reapply. The POF provided had over 70m for the 4 of them and they parents are well established back home which serves as ties. The siblings are also in school which are also good ties back home.

What can increase their chances of approval for the wedding please since the wedding date has passed and wedding postponed cos of the denial?

We included a lot of documents and explanations in the initial application that got denied such as :
1. Invitation letter from Couple ✔✅
2. Letter of Purpose ✅
3. Proof of Funds(Bank statement with almost #79M)
4. PGWP of inviters✔✅
5. MP Declaration ✔✅
6. Marriage License ✔✅
7. Wedding IV✔✅
8. Grooms dad leave letter from his workplace ✔️✅
10. His parents and siblings information as ties home in Letter of purpose ✔️✅
11. Proof of funds for 3 of them from dad
12. other ties Including his work and business he needs to get back to in LOP✔️✅

Please if anyone her has gotten approved for a wedding and can share tips. We won't mind.

Thank you
You mean all 4 refused or just the 19 and 25?

Please plan beyond just getting a visa, and don’t come to Canada thinking study equals PR. Many students, especially in Ontario, are now stranded! misled by TikTok and fake success stories. Do real research, choose the right program, plan ur funding and also plan your PR path carefully. The reality is much tougher than what influencers show. Good luck

I wanted to ask what is processing time for business trip applications?
We're scheduled to travel for an equipment inspection
So it’s an aeroplane you want to inspect and it takes four people to do that? Come on this clearly looks more like a visa strategy than a genuine business trip. IRCC has seen too many of these formats and they’re not falling for it anymore. They’ve become very strict for a reason but since ur visa application still in process then still be hopeful for the best as current processing time is 2 months!

Hello everyone!
Please I need your guidance

My husband is a college student in Canada and he’s in his second year already. The initial plan was to go and join him once he gets to Canada and then I’ll apply for a SOWP but IRCC spoilt the plan with their new policies. Since I wouldn’t be able to work, I decided to apply for study permit as well because “I don’t want to be idle” when I get there. Unfortunately for me, IRCC has refused my study permit 3 times now. So, I’ve decided to take the dependant/visitor’s visa route, I don tire, we’ve not even spent up to 3 months together before IRCC came up with their policies. I’m so depressed 😔 I need to see my husband lol …. I need your help guys what do I do? Where do I start from?

What are the rules/policies regarding visas for dependants of college students asides being unable to work?

Will my previous study permit refusals affect my application?

Am I the one to submit the application myself or my spouse?

How much is required as POF?

What other documents do I need to submit?

How soon can I apply because I just got the last refusal letter yesterday?
Firstly, is your husband enrolled in a 1-year or 2-year college program, and is it a PGWP-eligible (Post-Graduation Work Permit) program and which province?

We see how greedy some people can be, acting without considering the impact on others. You arrive on a visitor visa, make a fake asylum claim, and still have the audacity to sue your host country. This is exactly why Canadians are becoming increasingly anti-immigrant, and the new bill C-2 will likely pass, making asylum much more difficult. People complain about the rising canada visit visa refusal rates but honestly, don’t blame the system. They’re just trying to prevent more people like him from getting in which is affecting other innocent applicant!

Any Nigerian you see in Canada with an LGBT ID card or attending those fake LGBT meetings is just using it as an asylum strategy. Those are the same ones rushing to take pictures at Pride parades or dancing like brooms — all just for asylum purposes.

The whole LGBT agenda has made it difficult to distinguish between someone who is genuinely struggling with identity criss, a pedophile, someone who needs psychological or mental help, or even a sexual predator hiding under the LGBT label.

To be honest you lost me at " None of these jobs will pay you $85K right after school that’s pure false hope"

Before I post anything here, please know that I have proof to back up my claims and even more evidence to support them further.

Yes, the job market is saturated and becoming more competitive thanks to crazyLiberal policies

But this is the same job market where my cousin, fresh out of his Master’s program, landed an $85K job after earning his Business Analyst certification. He didn’t work in Nigeria apart from NYSC, but he was able to present about 3 years of work experience. He used his NYSC, where he served as a teacher, and claimed he worked as a private contractor for First Bank’s tech team—his mother is a director at the bank if he even needed NIgerian refrence

He put in a lot of effort even while still in school. He attended Business Analyst training programs (some of which are available online). If I find the link to the Nigerian trainer who offers those programs, I’ll share it here. FYI all training are not free and you have to put in the work.

All he had to do was learn how to train and prepare himself for interviews.

From the time he finished his Master’s program in December 2024 until he got the offer in April, he was doing countless interviews even while still in school to get familiar with the process and improve himself for interview and his resume.

I wish I could share more, but the screenshot below is the most I can provide due to privacy reasons.

No one enters the job market unprepared and expects to succeed, especially without experience. That’s why some people create job histories based on what they did in Nigeria and support it with globally recognized certifications relevant to the roles they’re targeting.

It's not easy but with proper planning, it’s definitely possible.
Enough with these fairy tales dressed as success stories. Your cousin didn’t “land” an $85K job because of a Business Analyst certification he fabricated a résumé, used family connections, and added fake Nigerian work experience with no verifiable record. That’s not hustle; that’s deception.

Stop painting it like it was all hard work and training. Plenty of people are putting in real effort, spending thousands on legit certifications, and still can’t get interviews because they’re not lying on their résumés or name-dropping a bank director as their invisible "private contract."

This kind of narrative misleads honest immigrants and desperate job seekers into thinking success comes from a certificate and a few mock interviews. No it came from gaming the system. If you're going to tell the story, at least be honest that it's built on connections, strategic lies, and privilege. Don’t glamorize it like it’s a template for success.

hello everyone
please i need advice on what to do

i am currently studying in Canada first year cyber security and its just a year program

meaning i have only i year pgwp

bt interesting part is that i have worked as my dad personal assistance and manager for more than 5 years with my nysc office assistance role

i have bsc in computer sci

preparing to take the ielt exam

age 30

is it possible to apply for pr on this skilled worker with this information or what can i do

i dont want to take a 2nd program skul fees are just too high

pls i need advice
Honestly, this is the kind of planning that should have been done before starting your study journey in Canada. With your profile BSc in Computer Science, years of experience working as a personal assistant/manager for your dad, plus NYSC office experience—you likely could have pursued permanent residency directly from abroad through the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) program by simply acing the IELTS and adding a recognized certification like a BCS certificate in computing. My cousin had a similar background and got picked through the last year draw.

However, based on your current situation, here’s the reality: unless you declared this past work experience in your initial study permit application, IRCC may challenge it if you try to claim it later in Express Entry. They're becoming stricter about inconsistencies between study permit and PR applications. And attach below is a student in canada pr application pfl and later refused!

My advice:

1. Create your Express Entry profile as soon as possible and add ur canada diploma when u graduate

2. Focus on getting a high IELTS score to boost your CRS.

3. Try to get a skilled job during your PGWP period, because one year isn't a lot of time and many students are currently stuck due to poor planning.

4. Be clear about your past job roles. When you say you worked for your dad, what specific duties did you perform? That will determine the NOC you can claim.

5. And importantly, you’re not yet above 30 because once you cross that age, your CRS points for age start dropping. So act now while you still have that advantage.

The idea that studying in Canada automatically leads to PR is a myth. It takes a clear, well-planned path.especially with the way things are changing now.

Uche can also give us stats of how many people he knows that have gotten EE from Nigeria.

My secondary class mate was head of IT Payment dept in a FinTech with his many years in IT and Masters degrees, French saved him to get QC nomination. He had to study for a year. Not many of us can pass through that mental stress. If I hear Ques Qes Ces like this, I don japaa lolz
When people arrive and finish one course with debt and struggle, with permanent residency uncertain, and then face a second course with no money and the need to work but no work , they will redefine mental stress. Ask students whose asylum applications have been rejected after dropping out of school due to a lack of funds. Some students have already entered bankruptcy, even while on student status, due to credit card debt. When people land in Canada, they will understand the real definition of mental stress, because it's easy to stay outside and argue.

Into students recruitment where did you got that info from lol grin grin..
Educate people to use Express entry,do you thought that every individual that enter Canada via study route has previous post secondary education or previous work experience to succeed in express entry or is express entry easiest pathway for Canadian PR,Now that the new prime minister of canada based on his immigration plan to include Higher language proficiency requirements for skilled workers in regulated professions if that happens it can even knock some candidates off in express entry...later you'll say I don't have facts use Google... grin

Give me the percentage of individuals getting PR via Express Entry outside canada now that they are concentrating more on in canada Temporary residents.
People like you are misleading many into taking the student route and getting stranded or option for asylum . L know student in Canada with huge debt because people like you make it seem easy to get PR through the study route, which is a total falsehood. Many students are stranded now, or in huge debt, running a second program or option for asylum. After graduating, it's even difficult to get work in the required profession to gain experience. Some have to pay for jobs they've never done just to accumulate the experience required for Express Entry nomination. A shorter and less expensive path, such as learning French or taking a short course like a diploma in IT to gain a second certificate, could be a better option to relocate via express entry . We know all the difficulties students face in Canada, but you're here making baseless fantasy claims. Meanwhile, many people are landing PR through the French route, even a 40-year-old man with zero travel experience received an invitation in the last French draw, while their mates in school in Canada are still struggling to raise money for school fees at a time when getting work is extremely difficult in canada. Let's always share the truth. Even the government's projected numbers show that the majority inside will struggle for PR.
TravelRe: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by uchennay:
Jossy4love:
Hello everyone, today I want to talk about the Canada visa process, specifically the study and tourist visa routes. There are many pathways to Canada, but I’ll focus on these two because they are among the most popular.

One common mistake people make is blaming agents for their visa refusals. The truth is, an agent is not a consular officer, they don’t make the final decision on your application. Their job is to guide you, help you write a strong Statement of Purpose (SOP), and advise you on the necessary documents to improve your chances. However, the information you provide plays a huge role in the outcome.

I’ll be sharing some free tips on how to get your visa approved without relying on an agent, starting with the study visa route.

Study Visa Route
Before applying for a study visa, it's important to fully understand what you’re applying for. Many people make the mistake of applying for a lower-level program than their existing qualifications. For example, if you already have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science but apply for a diploma in Computer Science, this raises red flags. The visa officer may wonder why you’re taking a step backward academically, leading to a refusal. The same applies to those with an ND (National Diploma) or HND (Higher National Diploma) who apply for a diploma in the same field, it’s unlikely to be approved.

Another major mistake is using a fake bank statement or submitting a sponsor’s bank statement without proof of relationship. Some applicants also deposit a large sum of money into their account suddenly without a proper explanation, which can be seen as an attempt to deceive the embassy.

Here’s a general guide for your financial proof:

Your starting balance should be at least ₦7 million and above.
Your closing balance should be at least ₦33 million and above.
Ensure proper cash inflow and outflow. A sudden lump sum deposit with no transaction history can be suspicious.
Print a 6-month statement for submission.
Another critical aspect is having the right supporting documents. Many people submit falsified birth certificates and other fake documents. This can get your application banned. Use either a hospital birth certificate or a National Population Commission (NPC) certificate to avoid issues.

If you’re unsure about the right documents to submit, you can check globalvisaconference.com
They offer both free and paid services to help strengthen your application.

Tourist Visa Route
For those applying for a tourist visa, the first thing to do is clearly define the purpose of your visit. If you don’t have an invitation from someone in Canada, it’s advisable to register for a conference to justify your travel plans. You can find registered conferences on Eventbrite or Global Visa Conference.

Here’s a general guide for your financial proof for a tourist visa:

Your opening balance should be at least ₦1.5 million.
Your closing balance should be at least ₦15 million.
Attending a conference is a more affordable option, but keep in mind that tourist visa approvals can take around six months, whereas study visas are often processed faster.

A lot of people use Eventbrite to register for conferences as proof of travel intent. However, Eventbrite is an open platform, meaning anyone can create and list an event. Because of this, visa officers sometimes question the authenticity of Eventbrite conferences.

Some common issues with Eventbrite conferences:
❌ Many events are not recognized internationally.
❌ Some events are created just for visa purposes, making them less credible.
❌ Visa officers may require extra proof that the conference is relevant to your profession or business.

Why Global Visa Conference is a Better Option
Unlike Eventbrite, Global Visa Conference provides verified, well-structured conferences that strengthen visa applications.

✅ Recognized by visa officers – Their conferences are well-documented and registered, increasing approval chances.
✅ Visa-friendly documentation – You get a properly structured conference invitation letter that aligns with embassy expectations.
✅ Personalized guidance – If needed, they help you with additional supporting documents to prove your travel intent.

Instead of risking a visa refusal due to an unverified conference, it’s better to use a reputable platform that provides structured, embassy friendly documentation.

Applying for a Canadian visa is not just about filling out forms. It's about making sure everything aligns logically.

Choose the right study program that matches your qualifications.
Provide genuine financial proof with a steady transaction history.
Use a verified conference invitation for a tourist visa to avoid suspicion.
Taking the right approach saves you time, money, and stress. Stay tuned for more insights in the next post!

To be continued..
Without considering the effect of over 13,000 Nigerians who arrived in Canada last year 2024 within eight months to claim asylum now affecting other innocent applicants ,please note that your verified conference, high salary, with robust bank account with zero travel experience may not be enough. Previous applicants with the same status have now become asylum seekers. Canada is now looking beyond all the factors you mentioned above because the majority of Nigerians have abused the opportunity.

2019-2022 was a better time to move to Canada than 2025. The next best time is probably in the future. Today March 1, 2025 is not the best time to make the move except you have someone willing to house you for as long as possible. I became a PR in 2022 and I feared the job market as a result opted to get a job before arriving in Canada. Today things are a lot more challenging as the country accepted way too many immigrants than the infrastructure on ground can manage. They are trying to clear the mess but it will still take another couple of months or a year for things to get better. I also won't advice anyone to consider immigrating via student route right now except they've got a lot of money. A good percentage of international students/work permit holders will not be able to transition to PR. PR slots have been lowered and the number of international students/work permit holders is way too high.
Finding job even a survival job in Canada is extremely challenging now, and even Uber is no longer as profitable due to too many drivers and reduced patronage. Many new arrivals silently endure the struggle nd pain because speaking out is often seen as a sign of failure, while those still hoping to move to Canada may perceive it as discouragement cry cry

Nigerian are dying in this country and you guys don't want to say the truth openly so the new ones coming should know what's up.

The biggest winner is Isreal and the biggest loser is Iran.

With Assad defeated and Hamas and Hezbollah decimated. Isreal can now comfortably enter Syria and finally cut off the supply weapon chains of Hezbollah and Hamas once and for all.

Houthis rebels in yemen will be in short of arms because their proxies fighers are no more. Isreal will now finally face houthis in yemen and finish them once and for all.

The next country to fall in middle East is Iran. Trump and netayeahu will show them shege banza.

Iran has lost her proxy fighters. Trump will sanction them to death and with Assad gone in Syria. Isreal and America will now take over Syria. Iran has be weakened very badly

Is already game over for Iran. They will be a regime change in Iran. The Ayatollah will be removed from power just like Sadam hussien and gadaffi were remove.

Like I said, Isreal has won the war in the middle East.

Yes Israel is the big winner for today but that can change in a minute because Middle East is crazy as you know.
Whenever a government collapses, there’s always a power struggle and the possibilities of a terrorist group filling the vacuum.
Yes Iran and Russia are big losers today but they can easily work their ways back in, especially Iran, because there’s one thing that will always unite the Muslims, the hatred of Israel.

"Peace will come when the Arabs love their children more than they hate us," is attributed to Golda Meir, Israel's Prime Minister from 1969 to 1974
That statement is very deep and true!

Good morning all, Please did anybody's date update change to yesterday's date, but no mail was received, and there was no change of status on the application just the update date changed. I hope this means they are working on the application and it is not a case of a ghost update undecided undecided
Bro,that just a ghost update and probably a respond coming soon but you need to calm down. This is your second application for a visit visa after a previous refusal, and IRCC doesn’t easily grant visit visas again. Please have a second backup plan so IRCC doesn’t surprise you. Wish you good luck!

Congratulations

But why is everywhere so cold we need more timeline
Everywhere is cold because the current Canada visa denial rate is extremely high. Most people getting visas recently are those with a U.S. visa, significant travel history, or family in Canada. However, other categories, including students, are being refused in large numbers. This is not a time to gamble with a Canada visa application!

Congratulations 👏👏
What God cannot do does not exist 👏👏
The slogan "What God cannot do does not exist" may undermine human responsibility by encouraging reliance on divine intervention Alone. But God does not grant visas or fix nations—humans have free will to act, and progress depends on our choices and efforts.
