My problem with your response is you answered it towards Asylum claims which is not my line of thoughts. Even when i shared IRCC website link where people with genuine situations can use you re still referring to google search. Read bro you can do better. Nobody knows too much even if you stay in IRCC Headquarters in Canada.

Students can also plan ahead and something unexpected can happen to there sponsors or source of funds...should it be the end of life? IRCC made that provision for a reason, and you cannot tell us it cannot be utilized if there is a genuine case for such student. Open your mind please. This is not to support lack of planning or coming to Canada without your funds but also arm yourself with information you may need along the line. Shit can happen to anyone unexpectedly.

I'm presently on study visa here in Canada, I started class January 8 and done with my first semester in April 2024, and things are very tough and hard that i couldn't be able to pay my second semester. Then i wrote school that i need a study leave due to circumstance I'm facing back home and here in Canada and i was giving a study leave for one semester.

After the study leave for a semester is completed i cant still afford to pay my school fees..

Now my question is that can i change my school from public college to a private? in other for me to retain my status and after I'm done with the private school then i can apply for another study permit inside Canada to continue my study in public college

I hope this wont have any effect if i want to apply for my study visa extension ?

Note: I just gotten a job since last year December

Please be aware that you cannot work on or off campus during an authorized leave from your study program, even if your study permit states that you're allowed to work in Canada. Additionally, you cannot be out of school for more than 150 days, so you need to change your school immediately and inform IRCC. To those coming to Canada, please ensure you have your tuition fees and living expenses covered, as life is tough here. Thinking you can work to pay your fees and rent is extremely difficult. Please have a backup plan, such as a loan!!

Hello, it’s better to check with the airline because some airlines have strict rules regarding six-month passport validity. Traveling abroad in 2024 is different, and many things that were ignored in the past are now a big deal because flying from Nigeria involves facing another hurdle at transit since there are no direct flights to Canada!

I am in Canada, and with the 20-hour work limit for students, it's not possible. I guess you arrived in Canada before COVID, and during COVID, students were allowed to work full time. However, the economy is not the same now, with high unemployment nd law,changing . As a student coming to Canada today, you need to plan how to pay your fees or consider options for loans. You cannot work to pay your school fees—it's 100% impossible. That's why many students are dropping out of school to claim asylum. Comparing the time when students could work full time with more job availability to now, when it's 20 hours and there are fewer jobs, are two different situations. Mr. Motivational Speaker!

The processing time is 6 months so if you at 4th month means you still within the processing time duration!

You argue blindly sometimes. You previously argued there was no message on the 5th, and now you're trying to drag God into an irrelevant topic by saying the message can be anything. Please use your inner thoughts, because the mere fact that the agent denied receiving any message is a red flag. Let me give you some advice: as you travel to Canada on a visitor visa, encourage your husband to focus on the PR route, because PR is no longer guaranteed for students and u can see ur visit visa duration is link to ur spouse study duration which maximum 2 years. Even the PGWP will be a significant challenge ahead, as Canada is targeting visitor visas and students to reduce the numbers and limit the path to PR. I wish you all the best!

Am in the same shoes at the moment. I had my biometric Jan 17, 2024. I had a Bvl mail on July 5th 2024 followed by a mail requesting for updated POF which I supplied the following business day on July 8. I checked my tracker yesterday and discovered that my tracker has been updated on September 27 and application is now showing closed. I have checked my portal as at this moment no final decision yet. I don't really know what is causing this delay. From the tracker it is now the mail they sent me for updated POF is reflecting on the tracker as July 5 mail.

Thank you for the clarification and solid proof that the agent is being very dishonest in claiming that the portal is empty and no email was received on July 5th. In most cases, this is often related to proof of funds submitted by the applicant, and if no reply is given within 8 days, it leads to automatic refusal and a ban.in this case the agent know it fake bank statement and decided to ignore the message or his reply hold no ground nd applicant refused!

How did you know the content of the letter IRCC sent to him on July 5th. Are you now the visa officer. I am not trying to defend the agent or anyone here but let's encourage one another not adding more injuries to someone's pain.

The truth is that IRCC sent him a message on July 5th which could be approval or refusal. You cannot conclude yet until he come back here and let us know what the message is all about.

I don’t encourage false hope or dishonesty like what the agent is doing to this person. Based on your explanation, if a biometric correspondence letter was sent on July 5th and the agent missed it, and then a second passport request letter followed and the agent still missed it, it's clear the agent is not being truthful. I forgive your ignorance in this case because you don’t need to be a visa officer to understand these basic steps. The agent is clearly lying!

I laugh at you and your lame explanation to defend an agent you don't know. Let the guy order GCMS notes and then come back here. You will see the truth the agent is hiding! It's either a refusal or a ban, and the agent already has the information but is just pretending! I know agent manipulation when a visa is refused or the applicant is banned—that’s when agents suddently claim they lost email access or it another ghost visa agent that is processing it and they lost contact!

On july 2, ircc send you a procedural letter based on fake document..did you get the email or ask ur agent ?
Based on my experence as per a friend application You probably on a 5 years ban Already ,pls order ur gcms note to see the truth as agent often like to hide the truth especially when it a 5years ban!

Agent Using ur phone numver and email for biometric booking does not mean the agent use ur email for the actual application on ircc website!

He submitted his application by February and had his biometric capturing on 27th March.

He received a refusal message today.

The reasons for his visa denial are as follow

2. The purpose of your visit to Canada is not consistent with a temporary stay given the
details you have provided in your application.�

My questions are:
1. Can he reapply? If yes, what's the duration of stay before re application?

2. What is a country visa that is easy to get now?

Yes, he can reapply, but given the current situation in Canada, if your brother has no family in Canada or a good travel history, it's better for him to avoid Canada for now and look elsewhere. However, I cannot suggest any specific country since I don't know your brother's skills or plans with the visitor visa. I know of a student who was rejected, even after adding more funds and paying additional school fees, and still got refused a second time—and that was a student, not even a visitor!

You'd better start calling for funds and not even think about getting a job in that part of Canada to pay your school fees or rent. My friend's wife is in college in London and has been unable to find a job for over 10 months now. The husband has been selling properties in Nigeria to support her, and she complains that many students are in a similar situation!

In hindsight, I’m grateful I didn’t sell my property before leaving. During my visit, I came face-to-face with the realities of going abroad on the wrong visa. Many people, especially those on student or visitor visas, are struggling. Some friends I thought were thriving abroad on UK student visas are actually facing severe hardship. Their visas have expired, and the cost of living is extremely high.
After my time in the UK, I returned to Nigeria, and I’m constantly reminded of the dangers of selling off assets and venturing into the unknown. Just last week, a friend in Canada reached out, asking for help to cover his wife’s school fees, despite the general belief that life in Canada is ideal. The truth is, without the right skills or work opportunities, many are left frustrated, living a lower standard of life after investing millions into the move.

As I go about my daily life here, I pray never to be in a situation where desperation leads me into the unknown. May God guide my path wisely!

I was talking to a visa agent yesterday and he said the rate at which they are refusing visa now it just wise to give canada visa a break until after their election next year .it extremely bad market ! No need waste ur time and money even student visa is harder now!

Let’s not deceive ourselves: 4 out of 5 Nigerians who land in Canada with a visitor visa and manage to get an LMIA to convert to a work visa pay heavily for it. In some cases, it backfires as companies shut down, leaving them with a closed work permit and a loss of over $15K. Believe social media at your own risk. If you have no family in Canada or no significant travel history, and you're applying for just a tourist visit visa in this 2024 , it's best not to be overly optimistic. Even with 10 billion in proof of funds, the refusal rate for new travelers is extremely high. It's wise to have an alternative plan!!

With this current issue and your agent blocking you, it means the agent used a fraudulent bank statement since it is not your bank statement. This is one of the disadvantages of using agent , as you will be banned for 5 years for using a fake bank statement. You cannot apply for a Canada visa, and don't waste your money on the USA visa either, as they share information. Good luck as you move on with life and seek alternative pathways.

Canada dey para now as the refusal rate is high already and they still planning to reduce temporary resident more!...SHINE YOUR FACE and no pay any agent BEFORE YOUR TENDER YOUR APPLICATION because a visitor visa falls among a class of Temporary Resident Visa (TRV)!

This is from someone I know and I advised the person and now she has gotten 6months Visa within 2weeks of reapplication.

They’d open check on companies in CAC.
