History555: Lagos has a bigger market because of being a former capital, hq of many coys and large population. If east were a former capital and hq of many coys it will be the biggest market.
Despite not having such privileges, still anambra and abia are listed alongside lagos, abuja, ph and kano has controlling 75% of money supply. Bayelsa, akwa ibom, edo are oil producing states, where do they rank. Ondo, ekiti, osun, oyo are all in the sw with Lagos, how come the success of Lagos is not replicated there.
As for your claim that lekki seaport is built in anticipation of movement from the east, ogbeni ditch that lie. Fg did not consider lgbos b4 deciding to build lekki seaport. Continue burning down the east and drive the economy of lagos state. Maybe Igboland will develop when it is made the capital of biafra in 3099. |

History555: Apart from lagos and abuja where else in Nigeria do you have embassies None. And no embassy will consider coming to a region of violence . If you people were smart, the SE would have taken advantage of insecurity in the north to attract investment. But your leader who has no interest in the development of the SE is inciting violence for financial gains. And you people are helping his business and destroying igboland. Making lagos the prefered destination for investment. |

History555: Are u serious with wat u just typed. There is a difference between moving a container of several goods and a moving just one good. You claim people in imo will order funiture in Lagos and pay for it to be transported and i am telling you no one will do that because it means paying additional 200k for transport when funiture full owerri
Secondly u claim that the cost of renting space in imo is ten times the cost in Lagos. Really which school of lying did you graduate from. There is no way shops in Lagos are cheaper than shops in owerri. People pay 1million in water logged lekki for 2 bed flats, 1.5million for shops. Tell me where u pay 1.5million for shops in owerri. I said lagos is 10 times more expensive than imo. For a businessman to leave imo for lagos, he knows its worth the money he is spending. Lagos has a bigger market. Im talking about imported luxury furniture. Ite cheaper to import and sell in lagos than transport all the way down to the east. |

What you saw there was a couple of days not years or month, once people hide for a couple of days, ofcourse they'll will eventually continue their daily productive life's after that.Igbos are resilient in nature, they'll continue their production after such. Can you tell me why malls and industries continued working today in the east after such warnings about a month ago? Would an embassy want to be located in such a place? |

eduj: Mr imposter stop deceiving yourself.
you have no investment or anything in the East. Those of us that actually have investments and employ our people in the East aren't stupid. We have come to realise that there isn't any place like home. If companies like Gzi, NB, PZ , Console group etc are investing in the East, all your assertions are false. Ebeano supermarket got burnt in Abuja An Igbo transpoter lost close to 15 luxury vehicles a while back at Lagos -not to talk of the discrimination and bias an Igbo business man encounters outside the East. Viva industries an Igbo owned company just invested into his home town last year. Market square owned by an Igboman is massively investing in the East Cine21 cinema owned by an Igbo built one of its first cinemas in the East. A couple brought a world class diagnostic facility to Aba just this last week. our people are building 5 star hotels from owerri to akwa to Aba. with the relative improvement of infrastructure by the state governments of the East, the Aku-ruo-ulo initiative is getting a crescendo and hater like you can do nothing but wail Your leader that will give you Biafra, what investment does he have in Biafra? The reasonable igbo business people are leaving the east in droves. Lol. Cinema and supermarket? Ebano supermarket in lekki will buy 30 pieces of that market square supermarket, and all those cinema's you talk about. If peter obi built his next mall in the east, by now you would have burnt it claiming he is sabo. Now that your fraudulent biafran intelligence is releasing names of igbo leaders they claim arranged the arrest of the fraudster. |

heniford2: lol your been emotional i understand but am not in support of this lockdown either it will affect my business in Eastern Nigeria but let's be frank with each other then possibility of you doing business in east and making it is 90% than in Abuja and lagos reason high cost of Transportation, high cost of living yoruba under pricing factor, purchasing power etc forget UGM or ESN, IPOB the are not killing any business if the are doing so the East will be against them in a big way like in a very big way igbo man no dey joke with him business let me shock you 80% of east May be supporting them if the are not by now it will be a close case to them i know igbo people to call Yes. Thats why lagos has higher IGR, because people make it more in the east. |

heniford2: ahh! Should i lecture you on this again someone in eastern states can import goods from any place he can choose to use ph port or lagos to bring his business down to east does not mean that someone selling at lagos is selling more faster than him down east What is the purchasing power of the people in the east? How many multinational companies have their headquarters in the east. What is the IGR of all the SE states? Who do you think is responsible for the increased IGR in lagos? |

People who are in Abuja where kanu is held are doing their business without restrictions. You guys should lockdown the entire east till kanu is released. |

heniford2: when did Africa as a whole got is independence when did civilization came to Western Africa we are growing china has been before we came up USA is 210 Years are we mate And they grew by destroying their region and providing unstable business environment for investors? So assuming an embassy was sited in the east. They will have to shutdown operations because IPOB is shutting down the region for Nnamdi kanu. Even American Embassy and UK embassy are limiting their operations in Abuja the capital over insecurity. Do you think Yoruba's dont know that burning police stations and government establishment in their region has n3gative impact on their economy? By the time you people realise what IPOB has done to the SE, it will be too late. |

They don't evem have to open it. So how will someone sell faster in the SE than lagos? |

FreeIgbos: Just like your name says, you're indeed a vulture. Anybody that wants to live in Lagos is free to do so, however I once lived there but I prefer Owerri ten times over than that hellish place. Many of you live in despicable ghettoes all over the mainland that are not fit for human habitation yet you have mouth to say rubbish. Thats because you have nothing to offer and arr frustrated. Hence you are waiting for Biafra to come and change your circumstance. |

heniford2: will he still sell it at that same cost if his selling in lagos you can have shoes in lagos yet your not making sales and your market selling point its in the Eastern part will lagos still be your headquarters Lol. Business is all about turnover. He its better to sell one container a week with 500,000 gain. Than sell one container in 6 months with 2 million naira gain. |

History555: Mumu thread. Whatever you think you are selling in Lagos, a thousand people are selling in the east. Funiture coys big and small full owerri. Who will order funiture in Lagos and pay u almost 200k to transport it to the east when he can easily walk into funiture shops in the east and by same saving himself 200k in transport. Coys closing in Lagos, where are they relocating to. Op is a dullard Why will one pay over 700,000 to move a container from lagos to the east to sell? When he can save that 700,000 and sell the goods faster in lagos? You know that he probably pays 10 times the cost of renting the space in IMO state in lagos. So why will someone pay that much to be in lagos, if IMO was more profitable? |

heniford2: Is dangote not in North have his floor business moved to lagos because of the crisis hitting North stop spill trash Thats because he has distributors. And he is a public traded company. The risk is shared by investors. The igbo businessmen are individuals, they bear the risk 100%. So they wont think twice to relocate. Isn't dangote supposed to set up his refinery in the east, considering the close proximity to niger delta and oil? |
Politics › Re: Lagos, Expect More Igbo Businesses Soon. by udele1(op): 9:54am On Jul 29, 2021 |
heniford2: can you imagine because someone expand his business from A to B means his relocating and his moving his business to That place did the individual tell you this don't you see branches of business of others, like for example if i produce garri in Aba and it has grown i know have customers from calabar demanding i have a branch in calabar to help easy business for them and i opened one does it mean that i have moved to calabar permanently think before you create topics here Oga businesses are living the east. Businessmen are relocating. If you have demands for your products in lagos, you get distributors in lagos. They buy from you at a discounted price and sell in lagos. You dont carry all that money rent shop in lagos, also move to your own house in lagos. Dangote cement is in the east. Has dangote moved his plant to the east? Its cheaper for them to import and sell directly in lagos than transport to the east . They were doing it because of the love they have for igboland. As soon as these miscreants make the SE unsafe and unstable, they have to move. |
