Do not be misled by our argument.

These are facts you need to know about lte.

1. No telco in the world supports all lte bands.
2. Most telcos support just one.
3. ntel supports two, which are band 3 and 8, and band 3 is the world's most popular lte band, present in most devices meant for EMEA countries and other regions.
4. MTN plans on supporting only band 20, for starters, and band 20 isn't that popular compared to band 3.
5. All 4G lte chinco devices that are popular in Nigeria, including Infinix, Tecno, doogee and others support lte band 3. Bigger OEMs, such as Samsung, LG, Sony tend to make variants for different markets and specific variants for US telcos. You just need to buy the variant that support the lte bands your telco uses.

I'm getting tired of people calling our phones chinko devices.... We all know what chinko is and it's not Android... Chinko phones are copies of original devices... Like chinko IPhone... chinko Nokia... Etc...they are copies... The only phone I've seen that is chinko and android and not a copy is the Elephone.. I think I got its spelling right.... That phone even copies the layout of iPhone and the software is a basic Android design..... So you guys should get your facts right... And as for the LTE issue... Why is it becoming an argument? Just get your Ntel sim card...find an LTE device that will work with it.. No stress no drama.... Band 900 or 1800 or whatever... Just chill

Did the 50 Naira for 1.5GB... Downloaded asphalt 8 900mb+... Then did other things... It seems legit

My people perish for lack of common knowledge.... You guys do realize the Airtel BB plans have a higher burn rate on Android..... That's why you need to change your IMEI to that of a BB10 IMEI on your Android so that they will think you r using a bb10 device and they will reduce the burn rate to normal...And you don't have to pay 1500... The BB complete plan is 1k for 3GB... I just finished using it.... I Just downloaded up to 2.8GB with it.... For just 1k on airtel....

The speed is fair in the afternoon... Highest I got in the afternoon tho was 500kb/s... Network reception isn't so great here but it's okay for me

*140# to check the balance... Also.. Airtel is introducing 2k for 4.5gb.... Dunno if it's true... Took a screenshot

Am in lagos, also stay in yaba. But I use the ikoyi office at falomo opposite the marriage registry; but I heard they have an office at surulere. So the choice is yours to make. Cheers

Lol... Airtel give your 1.5gb or 500mb... Then you use it to download... And then you realize it's not up to the 1.5gb and 500mb you downloaded and the plan finishes...shey you know there is something called background data.. .. The pages you open takes MB... The Download you do takes MB... The constant connection to a server takes MB... And don't forget reception can also be a factor....

Lol...mine Is long gone... But have you guys figured out other alternatives to visafone?

I've done it three times in one night... Just migrate all over again each time the 1.5gb finishes... IE... *312# then select migrate each time your data finishes then select the 50naira for 1.5gb again in that same night... Keep finishing it... And redoing over and over and over again

You guys should stop the 50naira for 1.5GB thing... Lets just say a thousand out of the population using it will be 1000 x 50 = 50,000 .... Now imagine what they make every week...

Instead of doing 1.5k for 3GB... Why not the 1k for 3GB...the same airtel...it's what I'm using... And it works on Android... To prevent data zaping root your Android... Change IMEI to a BB10 IMEI finish

U guys should go for the Airtel 1k for 3gb... Dunno what una dey wait for... No speed throttling

I don't think I'll do this plan again... I sub twice in one night... I didn't even use up to 1gb.. It finished I didn't know and they took out of my monthly MB...

What kind of speed is this... ?!? I was on 400kb/s on my normal plan... Sub for the 50naira for 1.5gb and then my speed drops and doesn't come up again....

Mine doesn't disconnects... Just did it now... I got the 1.5GB ...my own problem is that the speed doesn't pass 200kb/s... Infact..it hasn't reached 200kb/s Thought it wasn't working cuz there is no way to check how much is left when using it.... Keep trying but it's only showing my normal Android plan left which is 266MB left... If this 1.5GB should finish I won't know and they might zap my Android data

I don't think so... LTE devices were made to accommodate 4G networking.. That is more than 3.75G .... But there is nothing like "pulling" the network speed... They are factors that determine your speed... Because your device is made for LTE the hardware will of course be made to pick up internet flawlessly and give you Max speed avail in your area... 3.75G phones don't pick up 4G networking.... Some H+ phones they are all made for 3.75G but not all phones are exact... My infinix is not 4G but I've gotten up to 7-8MB/s speed on MTN when I used simple server.... 5-6MB/s on Etisalat when I used PAYG and currently 1-2MB/s speed in the afternoon and 2-3MB/s speed in the night on my Airtel sim normal Android plan and on my etisalat sim 3-4MB/s speed in the afternoon and at night it stays at 4MB/s and keeps fluctuating to 5MB/s speed... Jumps up some times to 7MB/s.... I'm saying..my infinix can pick up speed in on my area cuz my area is good... But my other phone which is also an infinix.. Doesn't pick up like my personal phone even with the same area and sim cards put in it... The phone is one factor that affects your speed the location is another.... We can't assume that LTE will pick up better speed over a non LTE... They both were made to pick up the same 3.75G network.... Some phones can pick up more than others... The radios IN the phones can affect it... Especially if your radio is better since its made for LTE already... But different phones different brands and make.. The radio in one phone can be more powerful at receiving signal and network speed than the one in another phone
