Lol... Applied and wrote 2017..it's been a while since I said anything here.

Past questions are pretty useless.. Or it was to me.. I read Gmat verbal reasoning... Which is like 3 or 4 times more harder than the one Chevron gave to me....

So they've paid all my 300k...and recently they paid those last month who wrote the exam 2017 and are doing a 5 year course... This is their last money.

I have graduated in a 4 year course 300k for those in a 5 year course they get 400k...

Patience is really key... The payment dates are really far apart so remove your mind from it...

No.. That one didn't take long to get... I'm talking about actually winning and getting the scholarship and money

A month ke Months.... Becuz I wrote exam May last year... Waited till August to receive email telling me to open Bank Account and get my BVL ready.. Then got it Sept... I'm now receiving second payment since then this month lyk dis... Reimbursement is like 2k5 or 3k...varies based on the location you filled in.. They'd pay you according how much they estimate you spent on transport coming for the exam...

Chevron has paid... Some people have not received yet though...

Yes... This morning we received a message from Chevron that they've paid us In the morning today... But obviously it hasn't reflected in individual accounts... So they said if it has not shown in anyone's account its on the fault of the bank (Union Bank) or we should just wait till around 4pm today or tomorrow morning

It might be different this time around and who knows.. Maybe the quantitative reasoning will actually be quantitative reasoning.. The familiar type we all know and hate and adore from primary school at the same time... They are actually annoying... Anyway... After the exam we left... We got paid a whole while later transport fair... So look out for like N2500 or 3k coming into your account.... However... Waiting for a very long time... We wrote the exam may and got paid like September... But from what I heard it was supposed to be January so basically we got paid early I think... Before getting paid we were told to open a Union Bank account b4 a deadline... Check your Email everyday... Trust me.. I received mine late a message telling me to open a union bank account and get from them a Bank Verification Letter.... I got the email on a Sunday and my deadline was like Wednesday.. While some others got theirs 3 days before me... The stress in opening the account alone and the BVL letter... Wawu.... Anyway.. After everything.... You still wait a while..

So wrote exam May... Bank processing like August... Money like late Sept even tho I think it's supposed to be January... Moral of the story... Removed all impatience in you cuz you are gonna wait for a whole whole while b4 receiving anything...

During my exam for Chevron... If I Recall correctly... It was in Lagos... Dragnet Solutions was the company hosting the exam... We waited in line for a long time for processing... No pens or pencils... No calculators... No bags, even the transparent ones that they sent to our mails that we could bring was not allowed... Those who brought their electronics had to pay security to allow their stuffs and bags and what have you be kept... The line was really long and it went even outside the building's gate.... Anyway, everyone is wearing their University ID cards for identification... A lot from various Uni's... They were a bunch load of people there who came to write either Algbami or Chevron... We got our exam slips checked out before being allowed to sit down with those that had been checked... Afterwards you join a different line... This line was to enter the building... You get checked again.. This time around its your ID card... Anyway, you get into building you go through a computer screening... Like biodata... They check your ID card and they do some other stuff.. Like ask you questions... Not serious questions... More like to confirm you for the exam... We ran up a staircase all the way to the top and you get to the computer hall... You take a seat... They tell you the rules and you must follow them... You're not allowed to use the calculator in the system... I'm emphasizing this because the maths questions that came out for me dealt with a lot of figures in millions and asking me about ratios and company this and that... That's when I realized I was doing an exam for an oil company... Anyway.... I got the scholarship. I don't know my score... Never found out... It was never released... I focused all my energy on getting a %100 accuracy in verbal reasoning because it truly is very simple... You just have to make sure you understand the literature very well and don't get tricked by the questions... As for the maths part... You gotta be very good at using your head for that.. I think they gave us their own piece of paper and pencil to calculate.... Long division was my friend that day and also I met a pie chart with millions of figures like 3,678,549... For me all my figures lacked zeros in it... I don't know about others... I used every energy I had to understand general mathematics to solve... I study Economics so everything we do is maths... Actually to be precise... Further Maths... So the word problem was a little annoying... The tables and charts with figures all over it for a company and I was supposed to figure out the companies something something ratio in some quarter of a year was a wow for me... You get? I think it was 25minutes each for both verbal reasoning and quantitative... I dunno why its called quantitative tho... Nothing quantitative about it.. Except... If you kind look at the tables in a certain way it is quantitative cus u can tell how in a column of the table a figure was produced and so follow the trend to produce the figure for the blank space in another column of the same table that the question is asking you to fill... Like fill in the gap kinda thing but in a maths in tables way.. Basically like quantitative but not what you might be imagining when you hear the word quantitative... Just do your best... Oh and past questions didn't help me so much but to give me a little bit of an idea how the exam might look like and be structured... But it helped me for verbal reasoning... I unknowingly practiced GMAT harder verbal reasoning than the one for my Chev exam.

UPDATE: So after someone on one of the Chevron group chats called Chevron earlier in the month of August to ask for the present awardees scholarship funding... They got told it was 4 months late for payment, that they are very sorry and we will receive it late August... Then another call was made about early this week or so and again they apologized and said we'd get paid b4 Friday... Which was yesterday... Now it's a new month. We will call them again and ask why they are doing us like that.
