Religion / Re: Is It Acceptable To Withhold Tithes If I Disagree With The Pastor? by udumosam23(m): 2:38pm On Feb 04
fuckJones:
I have so many questions bordering me and I want christians in the house to help me.

1.Is it acceptable to withhold tithes if I disagree with the pastor's or the church's spending?

2. can I pay my tithe in the different church fromt the one I attended?

3. Is it correct for a pastor of a church and his family to use the church income, i.e. tithes, offering and third party income for their own use, especially since the church is not registered as their property? If no , what do you call their actions

4. Is it biblically okay for most of the pastors to ask for tithe on every Sunday? I mean why do they have to remind them every time, instead of letting people choose if they are okay to give their money!

5. can pastor says my church?

6.Which is better, tithing in a rich church where the pastor has his own flight or giving money to a street preacher?

7 .Why does my pastor make me feel guilty for not tithing when I cannot afford it?

1. No, you don't pay tithe to the pastor, you pay to God.

2. Your tithe should be to where you receive your spiritual nourishment.

3. Let the trouble of how the pastor use church finance be on the board or body that regulates the church finances. Get the churches constitution and sturdy if you still think the pastor uses the church money inappropriately approach him or petition him before the board there's nothing wrong with that.

4. Yes it is, some members needed to be reminded or should I say motivated to pay.

5. It is more appropriate to say this church. It is inappropriate for him to say my church even if he is the overseer.

6. I said it before and again, to the place you get your spiritual nourishment.

7. You don't have to feel guilty when you can't pay your tithe. Tithe is not what you can afford, it's a percentage of what you already have.

Let me also add the entire purpose is not to enrich the pastor or the church or anticipate that you'll get more.

It is a symbolic gift that shows you appreciate God for everything He gives you and you will honour Him with it.

Seems the present woman is working hard. The pace is slow though but I see a glimpse of hope.

They should reactivate FEB and licence new agents. It's frustrating to be paying over 1k to a venue just to be captured. Sometimes you end up getting only a tracking ID that is if you succeed at all because of the crowd.

Demand for the money on what bases? Is he seeking refunds for the money he has spent on her for the past 10 years? I don't understand...

Only a childish man would do such. That kind of man can even encourage his wife to go collect money from other men and give him if he can be indicating interest in money sent by his fellow man to his stepdaughter. He wants to turn the girls father to a moneybag 💰. Some men sha.

It the woman I blame for showing. Since she doesn't have any intention of giving him the money, why show him in the first place?

Should shouldn't show him you mean? Did you know what will happen should he find out he collected money from her ex behind his back? Aren't you naive?
If he is her husband and has been responsible for the welfare of the family, showing him the money is not enough. Asking him what to do with it is reasonable if you have any iota of respect for your home.

Well, the money is meant for the child and not the husband, therefore he has no right to "demand" it. I reckon he wants to pocket it or use it for his own interests. The money should remain with the mother of the child whom it was sent to; she should decide what should be done with it.

If she hasn't been the one deciding the welfare of the child for the past 10 years, why will she start deciding now. Why do you want to cause trouble?

He is your Husband. Husband o.
He took care of the child with the full knowledge it's not his.

Ordinarily, he shouldn't even let you accept gifts from your ex if he's very stable. If he did, then he has challenges and needed support for all the family.

It is his responsibility to provide for the family and if he has been up to his responsibility and has treated the child as family too. Then it is good you submit the money to him. He might give it back to you for the child's upkeep except it is huge.

My point is, it seem to me you had a healthy marriage without the money. Don't let the money make the difference. Otherwise, your husband matters little.

Does Bette owe the public an explanation?
This particular ministry is very sensitive and needs a person with competence and integrity
At the very least Beta has shown incompetence if we want to be kind to her
What would be a good achievement for any person in her position
To work with interior Ministry to put together a Social Register based on NIN that Nigerians trust.
If that was in place we would not be having this conversation
We should very quickly ensure that all Adults have a bank account and look into option for those in Rural area.

Do you trust the NIN process? Has the ministry of interior gotten it right? Is there a correct template for dispatching such monies?

I guess her only fault was bypassing some individuals who also claimed right to the loot. Much as I blame her for not being discreet, so far she has been trying perform.

I just realised he has a John in his name and he is the John Eno they have been referring to. He is more popular as Owan Enoh. The former could be mistaken for a Yakurr name.

Except I don't know much about him, I've always considered him to be more introverted, calm and peaceful. If I were to make a wish, I would've swapped his ministry with Wike.

Wike in sports would've added more spice to that silent ministry. He is too uncultured and tautish to be a minister for FCT.

Every human is pro-(his/her tribe) and Soyinka is not exception. However, you must also give him the credit for always standing for fairness, equity and justice.

Which justice and fairness? Like coming up to protest during Jonathan regime and going mute on the economy now?

He has really been a disappointment recently. I still respect him though, but I expected better from a man of his stand.

Ask for any place where you cam make a NIN plastc ID card, all what is being needed is just your NIN and phone number.

It won't cost you more than 3k. It was what I used when I wanted to verify my binance app.

As simple as that. I don't even see how this is a problem. Just ignorance.

That's why the case must be investigated thoroughly.

A similar thing happened in an American military base. Investigation opened a big can of worms....let's just say heads rolled.

Forget it, heads doesn't roll here in Nigeria. Once investigations reveals the culprit behind the incident is a more senior officer especially a Northerner, the case will die a natural death.
Politics / Re: Dangote's Fuel Monopoly Risks Soaring Petrol Prices - Joe Ajaero by udumosam23(m): 7:10am On Jun 05, 2023
nairalanda1:
Well, considering that 20 other refining licences were issued the question is, why didn't the other refining licences start work?

The cold reason is because subsidy meant that there won't be profits made from selling the petrol refined at any refinery. It is the main reason why we lost all our NNPC refineries...because we were cutting corners to keep costs low....and by extension subsidy costs low.

Dangote was the only one who took a risk. And he got loans from the banks to do so...because the banks know that in case of failure, they would just take over his businesses and pay themselves their money back. Simple.

The cold fact is that keeping petrol at a cost below the production price is why most of the refinery licence owners...except for the one in Edo, the BUA refinery and a few others, did not start work,

Hopefully, things will change with the refinery coming up.

There are above 40 modular refineries in Nigeria. What stops the govt from licencing all, deregulating the price and allow for competition?

Borders were closed to force Nigerians produce locally what they consume, why not implement same for crude?

That the boy believed
He wou!d go to the UK

whatever payment
And return to Nigeria quietly

I am.trying to understand the permutations of what he might have believed
Or been made to believe
The deal.was

Boy agreed to kidney donation before he was taken to the UK. He was promised a good life in the UK possibly education.

Things however went south and the deal couldn't fly which wasn't his fault. He was then compensated with a meagre sum and arrangement commenced for his return.

Boy refused and preferred to stay in the UK. His insistence didn't sink well with the Ekweremadu. So, they locked him up in a room and starve him to force him to comply to returning to Nigeria.

Boy escaped from the room and reported self to the nearest police station at such a way he'll be sure he isn't send back to Nigeria.

I'm sure he was guided on what to say or what to do too. But I still blame the Ekweremadus for lack of kindness. I for one would've first made that boy feel at home and give him a hope at least for willing to sacrifice.
