Michael Jackson calls them his children. Legally, by law they are, but biologically the latest revelations by his former wife prove the contrary, Below attached for your perusal. link http://gawker.com/5303537/michael-jacksons-children-not-fathered-by-michael-jackson-says-ex+wife |

KunleOshob, Thanks for your posts, |
December 25th has been choosen to celebrate the birth of christ. I was just wondering, what does a man (father christmas) in red clothes and white beards have to do with the birth of christ. There was no father christmas during when Jesus was born. So what is the significance of father christmas? Any ideas? |
Horus, thanks for your contribution. I`ll do research in that direction to assertain for sure. What's interesting is that even if you take that portion you quoted to be true were true, it would not even mean trinity. If the spirit, father and son are one what do you mean? Are they one person or one purpose, Thats simply ambigous. If trinity is so true Jesus would never say his father is greater than him. When Jesus taught his disciples to pray he only made reference to the santification of God's name. Why did he not say they should sanctify the spirit? If the trinity were true it would mean that God the father, and Jesus relied on the Holy spirit for their power. Then when we pray we should pray to the holy spirit rather than "God the Father", because the power is with the holy spirit. |
@ ezemama If someone was lying to me on the truth of trinity, would concluding that the whole idea is a mistery not be an easy excuse for not answering fundamental questions? The intelligence humans have was given to us by God, for good reason, that we would not be decieved, but understand our faith. God would not judge us for blasphemy, because he reads hearts and knows our motive is to know the truth about him, not to disrespect him. If i asked where did God come from, someone could say we should not bother think about it, that it is a mystery. But the bible refers to God as King of eternity. So God has always been there always, so no mistery. Why should it be claimed that God and Jesus are equal, when he categorically stated, the father is greater than i am, and in work and deed he reflected that view. Read John 14: 28,29. This is not my idea, it is in the holy bible, and this scripture is no mistery. However, it directly conflicts with what trinity says God is. Rather than doubt this scripture i would doubt trinity because that is the part that men inferred. When making inferences error is a possibility. I would be glad if someone can carify how Jesus himself could say God is greater than him while trinity says they are equal. Concluding that it is a mystery is another way of avoiding the bone of the issue. When we ask questions we learn more, |
@ ezemama Am a christian (baptist) for sure, I have doubts though of some beliefs i have come to accept over the years. I`ve been thinking lately of the truth behind these fundamental beliefs and found that "trinity" has many question to answer. Who am i worshipping, God, Jesus or spirit. Jesus Himself said to satan, at Luke 4:8, you must worship the Lord your God and serve only him. He did not say they, but said "Him". That "Him" must have a one personality. I want to worship only God almighty the creator of the universe through Jesus as God instructed. |
Dear Lady, There was a point in time in past were Jesus did not exist. Consider this very clear scripture: Colossians 1:15, which refers to Jesus as the image of the invisible God, the first born of all creation. To be the first born of all creation means exactly what it means. Jesus was created first before all other creation. If Jesus was created he cannot be equal to God. If you don`t agree with Colossians i will love to hear your view on that scripture. Also note that the portion says he is the image of the invisble God. An image may look very much like the person it models, but the image is not the person. God is a person. This indicates that he has a personality, such as power, love , justice, etc. But God is a spirit person. The word person does not only refer to humans with flesh and blood. The holy spirit is not a person. The scripture has made reference to what God said, what Jesus said, but the scripture never speaks of the holyspirit as saying anything, or reflecting the attributes of God, like Jesus did. The holyspirit is simply Gods power that he uses to accomplish his will, and can infuse this power into people. If Jesus was God then there was no need to pray at all and request permision to ressurect (eg Lazarus) or when he prayed on the loaves of bread and fishes? You take permision from someone above you not vice versa. Why also is the word Trinity not found in the bible if it is so fundamental to christian belief? |
@bastage God was not created. Jesus was created by God. That makes God greater than Jesus. My father gave me life, that automatically makes him greater than me. He has more knowledge, and i report to him. God does not report to Jesus. If Jesus and God were the same, why did Jesus pray to God in heaven to "let this cup pass over me" shortly before he was arrested. How come Jesus did not know when the end will come except the Father in heaven. If they are the same then they should have equal knowledge? Bastage, pls Shoot! |
Trinity is explained as the Father, the Son, and the Spirit are three divine persons who are one divine being (God), that these three are also co-equal. If these three beings are co-equal, who created who? Did Jesus create God or vice versa. If God created Jesus, automatically, that means God is greater, that contradicts the co-equality. If the holy spirit is a person, how could it poured on people and they get filled with someone. Can a being with a personality be poured on someone. If the holy spirit is a being, could it be more powerful than God the Father, since all miracles works are actually product of the holy spirit? Jesus categorically stated that regarding the time of the end no one knows the day or hour only almighty God. If they were equal, y would one know something and the other does not? Can God die? If u say he cannot, how do we explain that Jesus was dead three days, he even commited his life to his father before he drew his last breath, knowing God almighty would restore him back to life. By the way if trinity is so true and dundamental to christian life why is it that, that word NEVER occurs in the bible? If these questions can`t be resolved then surely, trinity is the biggest contradition in Christianity. |
Sice Pastors can not ressurect the dead but can heal people, i think thats sufficient proof that they do not get their powers from God. If their power were from God then there should be no selection of ailments to heal nor should death be too much. If they just preached the word and pointed to people that now it is by faith we walk not by miracles, i think the number of church goers would fall. It seems this miracle stuff is just a gimick, to cash in on peoples need for healthy, prosperous life. Just think of the millions of Nigerians who are fooled, not knowing they are being scammed by the greatest 419 on the planet. I don`t see how 419 organisations can make heaven, If that happened then it would mean God supports 419 groups. Just thinking! |
@ enitan2002 Thanks for your contribution men. It provides some explanation of where the souls of animals go. But consider this, Genesis 2:27 the bible gives a vivid account of how Adam was created. God blew into the nostrills of Adam the breath of life, and inanimate Adam became a LIVING soul. Note the adjective LIVING. Does that not say something obvious. There is no point describing soul as LIVING if there is only one state of soul. Saying living soul indicates that dead soul exist. By the way, that place mentions that Adam BECAME a living soul. Became does not mean the soul entered him. He BECAME a living soul, not a dead soul. Therefore dead souls exist. When animals die their souls die. It does not go to heaven, hell anywhere else. It simply ceases to exist. Think of all the dinosaurs, ants , cockroaches, existict species of animals, and the billions of insects that have walked the earth and died, why should these creatures go to some special place therafter? Please provide some biblical backing for the claims you made, |
@Kunle Osho Yah men, i get your drift. too much hypocrisy everywhere. |

Pastors should be able to ressurect the dead, if it is truely God's power they are using. Or is death greater than God. Sure not possible. By the way, Satan can heal people and even make them rich, but he cannot give life to anyone, he does not have the power to do so. Now what would differentiate a man of Satan from a man of God?, A man of God should be able to ressurect the dead. |
@MrCrackles Jesus disciples where humans to , some fishermen for that matter. They ressurected people. Being human is no excuse. There must be a deeper reason. |
Pastors claim to heal people, making the blind see and the deaf hear. Why do pastors not ressurect people? Afterall, Jesus healed the blind, deaf and ressurected many people. Even his disciples ressurected people and healed the sick. Why then do our pastors only "heal the sick" and not ressurect the dead also? Any ideas people? |
Dear Pilgrim, i must appologise for my impetuousness. Sorry i brought much heat on you. Please don't hold back from sharing you views. Nairaland, i consider this to be an important issue. The reason being, finding answer to this question question could shed light on whether or not souls die. If its true that souls their, then why must it be concluded by most of christainity that you either go to heaven of hell? Adolf Hitler was an evil man while alive, so where is his soul? Ok, not in heaven for sure, is it in hell? What if Adolf Hitler's soul is dead, just like the soul of the dead rat on the road, and the butchered chicken. If i know for sure that the soul of chickens and goats die when these animals die, then it serves as a proof that the souls of the person does not necessarily go to heaven or hell, it just possibly might be really dead! Please people give this some thought! |
Hey Mr Freaky, No point trying to argue with u about what i am, Your nick name is freaky, so i may just assume that you a tranvestite and a Freak, just like you acknowledge. |
People, this is a possiblity, considering that gays have been society since bible times. By the way there is now a gay bishop, Should you kill your child because he/she turns out gay? |
Scientist claimbeing gay/lesbian is as natural as being heterosexual. They say we are all wired differently. What should i do if my son confides in me that he is in love with another man! |
Dear Pilgrim, Fine, interpretations cloud the truths of christianity. I maybe i interpreted wrongly. But the question has still not been answered. Even if you say the animal that sinneth would die, does that indicate that the soul of that animal dies. If you disagree that the soul of the animal does not die, then you must explain were this soul goes to. You still have not answered the question my dear Pilgrim! Ok, i`ll take silence to mean no idea! |
The issue is not necessarily philosophical. Its an issue that the bible must be able to answer. People have interpreted soul to be something that does not die. That's why this question appears difficult to answer. If we take what is written at Ezekiel 18:4 to be true, then it would mean that souls Die. If souls die then there is no question of what happens to the souls of animals when they die. People of Nairaland do u believe Souls are eternal. If you do please tell us where souls of animals go when they die! |
Nigeria would be Giant of Africa long after we all have died! |
Nice point Pilgrim, but where do animals go? |
@ Pastor if what you quoted is true, that the concept of soul is indeed a concept and is ambigous, then Pastors should stop preaching about what they are not sure of. A dog dies, no one talks about it going to hell or heaven. A lion kills a person no one talks about it going to hell. Why then do people talk of humans, which they claim also have souls going some where to meet their maker or to hell for punishment? There are fundamental questions that Christains need to ask, to be sure that they are not being misled |
For a man with no visible business, and simply a "man if God" i believe this guy is a theif, The money of the church is not his. Spending it on private Jets amounts to stealing. People should stop talking of The Lord being good when it comes to money, A person becomes rich due to hard work or stealing. All God does is give us life and strengthen those who seek him. This guy is a theif and should be put in Kirikiri |
@Pilgrim, Please tell me what you think |
The General belief is that souls don't die. Humans have souls, so do animals of all types. If it is true that souls don't die, and humans go to heaven or hell, WHERE DO THE SOULS OF ANIMALS GO?? If You believe strongly that you would make Heaven, then you must answer this question! |
Its also interesting that though churches and pastors churn out billions they don pay tax, yet the collect 10% of all incomes in their church. This is even higher than government tax, I think false Prophets are here with us! |
Buying private Jets, riding in the best of cars, living the life of an elite, these have become trade marks of pastors in Nigeria. Not that driving in good cars, living gorgeously is so wrong, but it begs the question of why Pastors have to be this wealthy. Is this extraordinary wealth a blessing from God? Jesus most valuable item in the bible were the clothes he had on at his death. If money was to be a trade mark of men of God, surely Jesus would have be thye richest man ever in the history of man. I suspect great hyppocrisy exists in the christain religious circles. I suspect that God may not really be backing these "men of God", that people are being duped every month for their tithes. If this is true, then its very possible that false prophets actually walk the land of Nigeria, leading people not to God but in the opposite direction. If Jesus was a Pastor in Nigeria i have a strong feeling he would not own a very luxurious car, not to speak of a private Jet or Jets. What do you think? |
