Rosunkeye:Thanks for the info. Pls how much did you pay to legalize your documents? Also can someone submit my pre-enrollment summary on my behalf for DOV? |
Kekeiyke:Ok. Unless maybe it’s network. |
Pls if you've done legalization, can you let me know the amount you paid for academic documents and birth certificate? My appointment comes up next week and I would like to plan accordingly. Thank you. |
bayotiwa:Use your birth certificate. From 1992 till date, birth certificate. NPC Attestation of Age and Affidavit of Declaration of age is only for people born before 1992 when NPC wasn’t established. |
Burna07:I’m blushing . I’m a lady though. |

OldGuard:MOE and MOFA work on Fridays but don’t do authentication on Fridays. Authentication is only from Monday to Thursday. |
Martinscov:Academic documents and birth certificate or NPC attestation and Court Affidavit Declaration of Age if born before 1992. |
Shercorp:I don’t think it would be a problem. |
Irunma:Pls can you answer the question on how much you were charged for legalization of birth certificate at the embassy? Thank you |
Burna07:1. Take your academic documents to Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja for authentication. Your birth certificate too. If you were born before 1992, get a court affidavit for declaration of age and also NPC Attestation of Birth.(only MOFA will authenticate that) 2. You can also send same documents by mail to any Italian translator to translate your documents. You can pick it when its ready. (Check the thread from page 180. I put a list of embassy recommended translators somewhere.) 3. Book an appointment for legalization at Italian embassy. You can send them a mail to know which state(Lagos or Abuja) your academic qualification falls under. I think you’ll need your MOE and MOFA authenticated documents, translated documents and originals of teh documents you want to legalize plus Waec/Neco scratch card 4. Do your online pre-enrollment at universitaly.it You can do this before No 1-3 listed above, it doesn’t matter. 5. Book Visa appointment with vsf. No study visa appointments for now. |
Shercorp:MOE and MOFA will authenticate the original and two photocopies for you. You can also pay for additional photocopies to be authenticated if you wish. |
amikable97:I haven't done legalization yet. My appointment is for September |
At what point is DOV gotten? I've done pre-enrollment and the mail i got says its been forwarded to the Embassy i chose and that my school has indicated that I need DOV. Is an appointment needed in order to pick DOV from the embassy? Can someone pls put me through. |
amikable97:True. Sent them a mail and they responded with same message. |
Oshiomah007:1. Ok. Thank you. How much is visa fees? 2. Is there any other fee like vfs fee and how much? 3. Do I need visa form and how can I get it? 4.Do you know how long legalization takes at Italian embassy? |
oppsonn:I'll send them a mail. on vsf website, I used the option to book appointment. Registered, started filling, when i got to section to choose date, all dates till December are greyed out. |
How do I book visa appointment at Vsf? |
Make sure to proceed to Step C after Step B. |
Talk2aik:Its same for everyone. The page is automatically in Italian. Look at the upper right hand corner of your computer, you’ll see two flags- Italy and UK (Uk flag is in black and white), click on the UK flag. If you’re using google chrome, it will automatically translate into English. But I advise you to click the flag. Google chrome doesn’t translate it exactly as it is. For eg where you're to click on pre-enroll now (University >International Students > Pre-enroll now), what you’ll see is apply now which is also confusing. The website is a bit confusing as well, so let me put you through. If you haven’t registered yet, register. After registration on universitaly, on the mid right corner, you’ll see International students, under it is pre-enroll now. Click the pre-enroll button, it may ask you to login again and then when you do, it will show you your personal data and maybe pre-enrollment application if you’ve already started filling the application. If you don’t see pre-enrollment application under personal data, then just click on personal data. It will show you your data page and on the end of the page, you’ll see pre-enroll now. If you’ve started an application already, then click go to application. If you’ve not, click new pre-enrollment. It brings you to Step A, fill all details and go to Step B. On the Step B page, you’ll see option for Embassy of choice after the Passport option, also fill your school details, course etc. Fill all details on all the sections and proceed to Step C. Leave id account of chosen university blank. Note: after you upload your passport data page and passport photo and you go to step C, and maybe come back to step B to cross check, it may seem as if your uploaded passports aren’t there, simply click on the download button “the arrow” and if it downloads your uploaded document, then know it was uploaded. In Step C, upload the document you want to and make sure to click the green upload button each time depending on how many documents you wnat to upload. The click Summary. It takes you to the Summary page and you’ll view the application. Tick the terms and conditions button and then submit. You’ll get an automatic reply mail immediately you submit. I hope you understand the whole process. Thanks

Rousel:It’s not mandatory for all schools. Check the requirements of the school you want to attend. You should do it as early as possible, on their website it it says about 30 days for a decision to be made. |
dmk23:I think you should send them a mail or call the embassy no to confirm. I’ve read this thread from the beginning, sometime last year, someone mentioned that academic documents are free while the price for legalization of non academic documents is dependent on how many documents you have. The person also mentioned that he paid 11,600 for NPC attestation. (I don’t know which of the embassy he used). I also got this response from Lagos embassy when I sent them a mail as of July. Dear Sir/Madam, Due to present situation relating to the Pandemic (COVID-19), all appointments are suspended. This office is presently unable to give a response as the time table for the 2020/21 academic session is yet to be released by MUIR (the authorized office). The documents are usually: Birth certificate/ attestation from NPC (depending on which is appropriate) Academic certificates Academic transcripts There are cost implications. These vary from document to document and the use for which it is being requested. They vary from N4000 to N 25,000 per document. The actual price can only be given on presentation of your documents. |

Ujules:pls can someone respond to this? |
Pls respond to my question if you’ve gone through SKVC evaluation. I’m applying for Masters and my school requires me to do the evaluation by SKVC. Since its Masters, do I need to also upload WAEC/NECO. Also how can the scratch cards be sent to them, through post? |
Shercorp:I don’t know o, but I think its the Remita receipt for payment and also MOE gives its own seperate receipt asides Remita. Just carry all receipts of payment you have and give them anyone they request. Maybe MOFA Remita, MOE Remita, and MOE receipt. Mine is more than 3 because I’ve done authentication 3 different times now. |

sollie123:No. Academic is for studies and General Test is for Immigration/work purposes. |

Shercorp:I once spoke with Abuja embassy over the phone. I asked the person i spoke with if I could do legalization in Abuja since I would be coming for authentication at MOE and MOFA so i could do all at once. His response was it depends on my state. He said some Northern states are grouped under Abuja embassy and all other states fall under Lagos embassy including some Northern states. I asked him if its state of origin and he said no, its dependent on the state you got your academic qualification. I live in Aba, Abia State, my state of origin is Anambra, i schooled in Port-Harcourt. All still falls under Lagos embassy. You can call Abuja embassy if you have more questions 09 460 2970 or you can email Lagos embassy with your questions. The person I once spoke to in Lagos embassy regarding this over the phone was just responding with “I don’t know” to all my questions. My major concern with why i asked that question is that I don’t know if its same embassy that legalizes document that issues DOV. I filled Abuja embassy on my pre-enrollment form and i received a mail saying my application has been verified and sent to Abuja embassy and they mentioned something about DOV |
. I’m a lady though.
