Guys you know what? just allow the guy to experience it in Kenya, i believe he will be the one to advice people never to venture into such Journey, nevertheless if your journey is purely touristic, you are ok but if it is hustling or otherwise just forget it or experience might be the best answer for you.

OrlandoOwoh:
Buhari is just intelligent. See his analysis. Can Jonathan give such analysis? Nigerians, be the judge, who is an illiterate between the two, whose certificates should be questioned?
Buhari having been a former minister of petroleum have the required experience and insight into what is happening or might have happened in the petroleum sector and hence such analysis is expected. Jonathan has never held such portfolio and then his decisions is based on advice from his ministers. Judge without bias

do note that i do book 2 or 3 months in advance and also 50 dollars for visa at nairobi airport total cost 1100 dollars

Also do not call cheating others of their earnings and telling lies is survival instinct, i refuse to believe that, hard working accepted but do not compromise the image of your country just because of your quest for survival.
TravelRe: Visa To Mauritius by ukraine55(m): 3:47pm On Jul 22, 2014
This is not about been lazy or lucky, it is about reality, before you start packing that your bag and baggage about to depart from Nigeria for Mauritius, please think twice, i guess your friends are not telling you the truth about Mauritius, i have been here close to two years and i can tell you what it is like here. If you have your money to spend, you are highly welcome.
It is not easy to work and finance your studies here. Your friends may be feeding you with lies by telling you that it is rosy here as that is always the norms for most Nigerians living abroad so as to lure more gullible Nigerians to believing that there is alot to gain here thereby reaping from where they do not so. I knew quit few of them on this Island that are doing that.
I believe the time is now that we youth have to wake up and stop living and believing in the past. Let us adopt the role of telling people what is obtainable or whats not. we have to stop this selfish interest of benefiting from others sweat. If you are coming to Mauritius for studies, get your facts correct research and ask questions, if you do not have anyone to sponsor your education, it is better you invest the little money you have in Nigeria rather than wasting it on a flight ticket.
Mauritius is 2040 km² in Area while Lagos is 999.6 km² meaning that the whole Mauritius is a little bit bigger than the twice of Lagos state and the population is 1.2m the manufacturing sector is like 2% and highly dependent on tourism.
Just this year Febauray, 2 Nigerian students were arrested at the airport with the possession of cocaine.
Like most Nigerian will boost to their peers back home that they are living a good life abroad, don't just rely on their fact verify further.

I will make it a duty to update this forum about life here in this Island as a foreign student, so that others will learn from it. stay tune and watch out for more update.
Thanks.

But at times due to some personal issues one may decide to find some jobs to solve the problem. Like you said, you are the one responsible for your bros upkeep and studies, thats fine. My reason of coming out here to state how things are really on this Island is to try as much as possible to prevent some Nigerians with the hope of working to sponsor their studies here. If you have a sponsor very good you can survive. Apart UOM,UTM and Open university, are the only public university and are relatively cheap, the rest are private and are not as cheap as UTM. There are some colleges that are not worth it. sometimes last year the Government has to shut down one college and deported alot of Bangladeshi students because of illegality. If you live among them u will know that they are racist.
TravelRe: Visa To Mauritius by ukraine55(m): 8:24pm On Jul 17, 2014
Life is tough, racism here is even more than that of europe, the people here are purely evil, like i said earlier if you are here to spend your hard earn money, you are welcome but to struggle with Mauritian for a job slot you are in for for the shock of your life
If you eventual got the job, u can't last, they will make sure u abandon the work
This is not a kind of big deal job, the job i am talking about here is in the construction line doing some kind of help and minor jobs in restaurant.
There also comes the high living cost with accommodation eating deep from your pocket.
TravelRe: Visa To Mauritius by ukraine55(m): 2:18pm On Jul 17, 2014
The most funniest part is the way Agents together with few Nigerian students here keep panting Mauritius
as some sort of job heaven, whereas alot of them has nothing to write home about but only interested in
getting some money from prospective applicants.
TravelRe: Visa To Mauritius by ukraine55(m): 2:28pm On Jul 16, 2014
Don't let anyone fool you, working in hotel as what? are they on study permit or working permit? there is no hotel here that will employ a foreign student on a study permit, what the hotels normally do is that they will request for students contacts and call them whenever they have big function that their staff cannot accommodate the workload normally on weekends, apart from the fact that the hotels are scared of immigration because they risk paying heavy fines if the authority uncovers it, there is also issues of language barrier, though they also speak english, the most widely used language is french and 98% of the clients are from french speaking countries.
Another fact is that if you apply for your work permit that is in your study visa, u may risk getting your study extension.
Life as a student here is very tough. I am telling you the truth take it or leave it. Alot of Nigerian students here lure gullible Nigerian students promising them jobs here. it is all lies and the schools, sorry study centers are not worth it.
TravelRe: Visa To Mauritius by ukraine55(m): 3:20pm On Jul 15, 2014
You will only enjoy Mauritius if you are coming here to spend your hard earn money for two weeks or a month holiday relaxing and enjoying the beautiful beaches, hotels and malls, apart from the above mentioned, if your plan of coming here is for a job or studying, well i will advice you search elsewhere maybe Europe. Mauritius has only two public universities, and hundreds of study centers running UK qualifications such as ACCA, ABE etc, but if you have made up your mind to come here, make sure that you have a financial source available that will see you through your studies, including your feeding, accommodation etc, as there is no job in Mauritius to help you survive, though there is 20hrs work permit indicated on your visa, you can only work legally after getting approval from the ministry of labour which you have to appy for.
Lastly do not allow anybody to process anything for you rather search online for colleges and apply, the college will process your visa for you. you check for approved colleges here. Tertiary education commission Mauritius.http://tec.intnet.mu click on public or private approved institution and courses offered.
