"On behalf of fellow presidential aspirants, we wish to disabuse news stories that APC governors have ganged up against us.

The story that 12 APC governors have ganged up against other aspirants is not true. It's cooked by opponents of APC.

This false story was printed in dailies and is now being distributed to delegates - we suspect it is a ploy to cause disharmony among aspirants.

Our governors are committed to a free and fair primaries.

They have not endorsed one candidate above others.

We as aspirants encourage delegates to carry on, as we are all united in running a free and fair primaries process."

The above were the word on Atiku on his facebook Page this Morning!

PoliticsBuhari Appeals To APC Delegates: All I Can Offer Is My All, Not Money by UltimatePals(op):
Frontiline All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential
candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, today appealed to
the sense of patriotism of delegates to the party convention
in Lagos, which will determine the choice of flagbearer at
next February’s election.

He told them in a letter he had no money with which to motivate them, and even if he had, would not give them because the fate of Nigeria is not up for sale.

General Muhammadu Buhari (RTD)

"I can't give you a pocketful of dollars or naira to purchase your support," he stated.

"I seek to be the next president of our beloved nation because I believe I have something to offer Nigeria at this time of multiple crises. Insecurity, corruption, and economic collapse have brought the nation low. Time is past due that we work together to lift Nigeria up. I am ready to lead Nigeria to its rightful future."

He reminded them he has always served Nigeria to the best of his ability, and tried to give more to the nation than it has given him.

"This is the principle of service that has guided my public life," he said, adding that he is not a rich person.

"What I will give you, and this nation is all of my strength, commitment, sweat and toil in the service of the people.  What I can give you is my all."

He called on the delegates to remember that history, change and the hopes of Nigeria are at the convention with them.  "They are there to ask you to perform according to your best judgment and patriotic conscience," he said.  "I also ask you to do the same."

Text of the letter:

LETTER TO THE DELEGATES OF ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS, APC, DURING THE NATIONAL DELEGATES CONVENTION.

My Dear Delegates:

As you gather for our convention, please remember that history, change and the hopes of Nigeria are there with you. They are there to ask you to perform according to your best judgment and patriotic conscience. I also ask you to do the same.

We seek a new Nigeria. It starts with us. It starts today. I have placed myself before you seeking your help to nominate me as your standard bearer for our progressive party, APC.

Personal ambition does not drive me in this regard. I seek to be the next president of our beloved nation because I believe I have something to offer Nigeria at this time of multiple crises. Insecurity, corruption, and economic collapse have brought the nation low. Time is past due that we work together to lift Nigeria up. I am ready to lead Nigeria to its rightful future.

I have always served Nigeria to the best of my ability.  I have always tried to give more to the nation than it has given me.  This is the principle of service that has guided my public life. Thus, I am not a rich person.  I can’t give you a pocketful of dollars or naira to purchase your support. Even if I could, I would not do so.  The fate of this nation is not up for sale.

What I will give you, and this nation is all of my strength, commitment, sweat and toil in the service of the people.  What I can give you is my all.

I do not intend to rule Nigeria. I want to democratically govern it with your help. I seek a Nigeria where Christians and Muslims may practise their faiths in peace and security; a Nigeria that is just and where corruption no longer trespasses into our institutions and national behavior and a Nigeria where our diversity could be used for our national prosperity.

Nigeria is our home. Let us now turn it into the great nation we know it can and should be.

I thank you all.

Muhammadu Buhari (RTD) GCFR

PoliticsEx-governor Of Anambra, Jim Nwobodo Disowns 2 Children by UltimatePals(op): 9:09pm On Dec 10, 2014

The former Governor of the old Anambra State, Jim Nwobodo has disowned his children from his first wife, saying they're not his 'flesh and blood.'

The embattled ex-Governor told newsmen that two of his children; Chukwudi and Nonso Nwobodo, who allegedly stole the corpse of their older brother, Ifeanyi Nwobodo, who died in November, after a battle with cancer, have been disowned by him.

It could be recalled that last week, there were reports that Jim Nwobodo refused his first son to be buried inside his compound, insisting that he should be buried outside. But his brothers refused and took his corpse away.

The ex-governor has however addressed the problems he's having with his sons.

"This is not really a very happy occasion for me – at my age, I should be talking about peace and not to get involved in something like this. Ifeanyi was my first son and unknown to us, myself and my wife, his family hid him.

“When we got to know that he was sick, we were very worried, we made sure he was taken to the best cancer hospital in the US.”

"From the day he died, I started planning for his burial. Because of politics, I felt that I should bury him before the primaries.

“Chukwudi and Nonso (Ifeanyi’s siblings) came to see me here and I told them that the burial will be in two weeks time, that they should come back so that we could plan for it.

“As I am talking, I have not seen neither Chukwudi nor Nonso till date. Their sister, who came back from US and called me to say that she is back, as I am talking to you, I have not seen her.

“You start to wonder- what kind of children are these? The press said I have two wives – it is not true. I divorced her (former wife) before I became governor. I have the divorce papers, please don’t refer to me as having two wives. I am a decent man. I have only one wife. Please save me the trouble and embarrassment of talking about matrimonial trouble, the church will not wed me if I have two wives.

"The children through her (former wife) cannot be said to have been flesh and blood. I am stopping at that – you know what I mean. A child that is yours will not hurt you like this, these children cannot be my flesh and blood.

“My children love me. It is only children that are not yours that will seize their brother’s dead body. If they can steal the dead body of their brother, it is terrible, unprecedented.

“They suggested the church and when the Bishop approached me, I accepted. The Bishops started preparing for the service, but till date the same people disappeared. If they say a word, I will tell the world what they have done and the entire world will spit at them”."If you are a father, you put the date for your son’s burial and these riff-raffs put a new date, will you go?” he narrated.
