maclatunji: Who is she trying to impress? I ask because obviously men will admire them and being married, one would think she understands that she shouldn't do anything that will make other men who are not her husband well... "hit on her". What are your thoughts?
You remind me of one of those men who come on here to post that since they got married to their wives, they don't look after themselves anymore, they don't dress attractively because if you say that a married woman should not post pictures of her looking pretty and all, then in other words, she shouldn't dress pretty and attractively because she is not going to post pictures of what she doesn't wear is she?

davidylan: Let me get this straight... did you just justify abusing your wife because of what she posts and shares on FB? shocked Nah i'm sure you were just joking.
Do you have any idea of the number of women who their husbands are maltreating just because of the theme of this thread but don't have a clue? People like harping on "Freedom" whilst they become prisoners everyday as a result of this same "Freedom" O.

OMG I just re-read that and woah. This dude needs to stop talking biko. Ejo, ni tori Olorun. Kai! shocked

I don't think you are really sure of what you want. If the lady wants to work 9-5 for whatever reasons, let her go for it. Don't force her to stop to do what you want her to do or what you feel will be better for you two. She'll end up resenting you for it. If working as your own boss and having a wife who is her own boss is so so so important to you, then find someone who wants what you want.
If you meet someone who has a different goal to you and you both love each other, you'll COMPROMISE not sacrifice. I think the key is meeting someone you can compromise for and who will compromise on somethings for you too.

Goodluck to you. smiley

justwise: His Daddy is British, did you understand that? The British invested money on him, did you also understand that? He doesn't have to run for Somalia, go and preach to Somalian Govt and leave the poor guy alone, he made the best decision of his life and its paying.
Leave them alone... As if if they had the opportunity, they wouldn't have done the same and more. Mtcheww.

solomon111: What is wrong with him gaining the neccessary expertise and deciding to run for his country, somalia?
Is it not all about sacrifice?
It may even be the catalyst for the turn-around, that somalia needs, like a national re-awakening.
The average black man has prioritize money, far above more important things.
Was it not people that 'sacrificed' for britain to become what it is today?
Haha. So if Nigeria decides to train a half Nigerian and Half American and the athlete can compete to world standards and is Nigeria's hope for a gold medal and tomorrow after all the training, money investment and sponsorship the athlete then tells Nigeria Athletic federation that they're going to represent America will you not be the first person to swear for him and his family for using the country's resources and manpower and then betraying them to represent someplace else? undecided angry
Since the end of the last Olympics in Beijing when he didn't even qualify for the finals, he has been training with the best that the country can offer. Now, they are reaping the rewards and you are yarning wool there. Let Somalia work hard to train and bring up their athletes so that they know no one helped. It was them and them alone that made their athletes to be who they are and where they are.
No one wants to work hard and see someone else reap the good reward of their sweat and it's the same for GB and Mo.
Well done to them jare. smiley
SportsRe: Mo Farah Wins 5000M In London Olympics 2012 by umra8901(op): 9:24pm On Aug 11, 2012
kuzzieOtiz: Mo was born in Mogadishu, both Somali parents.
For all of you who keep on arguing that he isn't British too, read this http://olympicsblog.co.uk/athletes/mo-farah/ and stop using that as a reason as to why he shouldn't have run for GB. His dad is British. The man was born in England and grew up in Hounslow. He met Mo's mum in Somalia when he went back for holiday.
If your Father is Nigerian and you were born in England, will you not be half Nigerian and half British? Sho... undecided
I don't get why people are refusing to accept who he is. Na wa o.

kuzzieOtiz: It's not what your country does for you, it's all about what you do for your country.
In my opinion is he ran for Somalia he could have been that man that inspired other Somalis to start taking sports and represent their country in the Olympics.
When Somalia has been in so much hassle and war-torn for the past 21 years, I would think that the most important thing on people's mind will be their safety and wellbeing not taking up sports. How can you run and train if you are not sure you'll be alive tomorrow or don't know where your next meal will come from?

kuzzieOtiz: Born in Somalia, not half British.
His dad is British love and that makes him half Somalian and half British. smiley
Would he have been able to train to this level if he decided to run for Somalia? Yes, a sporting brand or the IOC could have trained him, but the keyword is could. He loves England and to him, it's home. He's free to represent whatever country he feels is home to him and he did.

Mo Farah won the race in 13:41.66. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/olympics/18912882
He's the 7th man to win both the 5,000m and 10,000m events at the same Olympics.
Dejen Gebremeskel of Ethiopia finished in a time of 13:41.98 in silver with Kenya's Thomas Pkemei Longosiwa with a time of 13:42.36 in bronze.

This race is definitely in my top five events throughout the games. It was even better than the 100m finals and a little better than the 200m men's finals. It literally kept me on the edge of my seat.
Words cannot express how excited and on edge I was throughout the race(you would have thought I was been paid to cheer him on) The energy from the stadium was absolutely amazing and I am so jealous that I wasn't able to be there.

Congratulations to Mo Farah and for those who weren't able to watch it live, you can watch it on

With the London Olympics and all the emphasis on sports, have you been inspired to take up a sport/sports or will you encourage your kids or friends etc to do so?

Dnaz: How can a radiographer claim to be more impt dan a radiologist. Ist a radiographer can only take pictures of d body but does not understand it. It is only a radiologist(a doctor) who can also take d pix n interprete it into a def diagnosis. Also a med lab tech cannot be compared to a pathologist cos he does not understand d pathogenesis of d results n can't tackle d diesease. dese professions were introduced to reduce d burden of doctors n not to be independent of dem. Docs can do all deir work but dey can never do d works of doctors n dat is a fact so dey can't claim equality. D only oda health profession of more relevance but yet cannot b compared to a doc is d nurse n pharmacists. But dese should not expect to be considered on d same level as a medical consultant who has had a minimum of 12 yrs of med training. Dere can b only one captain in a ship. N no oda health profession can claim dis oda dan an MBBS holder.go to developed nations, dere r no lab tech, radiographers dese positions r being taken care of by docs who have specialised in these areas. And 4 d nurse n pharmacists, dey ll forever do what d doctors say cos to do odawise is to kill patients. So WTF abt all health professions r equal sey r not. If u r jealous, get a JAMB form n pass 2ru d rigorous trainin in med skul. Remember no carryover
This is the silliest thing I've seen in a long while. If a radiographer does not know or understand what he/she's taking, then how does he/se know what wat has been done is correct and diagnostic? When a doctor requests for a radiograph, he states what area needs to be imaged and the pathology to be queried or fracture etc and then the radiographer takes the image in the best possible way to view what is needed. The radiogrpaher then has to check this image to see if it's diagnostic or if there is any pathology that needs to be reported on urgently so the patient can go straight to A&E etc.
Radiographers study the physics behind radiation and x-ray tubes, MRIs, CTs and US and how they work. When you graduate, you can then specialise in any field or stay in general radiography. They are also taught a whole lot of anatomy, physiology and pathologies.
Radiologists use images to treat and monitor. Radiographers take images that are diagnostic and they themselves diagnose. Sure, not indepth as radiologists do because they can't leave 50-100 patients waiting whilst delibrating on each image, but they do diagnose hence DIAGNOSTIC radiograpers. If you want to specialise in reporting, you can always do it.

There is no leader or follower. At the end of the day, we all work for the good of the patient.
People should stop running their mouths/hands if they've never worked in a radiologyy department.
hitmanogo: javascript:void(0);

from your comment i can c u are a radiographer or preferably an imaging scientist as they ere called abroad....well let me clarify some things for you.a radiologist uses imaging means to manage patients, radiographers dont.
by training a radiologist knows the principle behind the workings of the imaging equipments and can use them if need be.he can further go ahead to see a patient learn about the patient problem and give appropiate treatment as a regular doctor, a radiographer cant

In university, radiographers are first ever taught how all the imaging equipments work. Go and do your research before you talk.

they plan radiation dosing along with radiologists and also use of radionucleutides in nuclear medicine
Radiographers that specialise in nuclear imaging actually work with radiologists etc to plan doses for patients. Dude, have you ever worked in a radiology department? Then there are also radiotherapists too.
u also need an MRI to ascertain if ur thalamus is well wired to the cerebral cortex and if u don't have atrophy of the corpus callosum and amygdala....further studies will involve checking for neuro fibrillary tangles, amyloid plaques, tau and lewy bodies , and csf oligoclonal bands.... the one and only bigger idiot....
What does this have to do with anything? huh
