Gunmen have invaded the Local Education Authority (LEA) Primary School, Rama village, Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, abducting the pupils and their teachers.

The number of pupils abducted could not be ascertained, but a source in Birnin Gwari said two of the teachers were among those abducted.

He said the school is about three kilometres away from Birnin Gwari town, headquarters of Birnin Gwari LGA.

According to the source, the incident occurred at about 8am on Monday.

The Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, who confirmed the incident in a statement on Monday, said the state government had received reports of the incident.

Aruwan said: “The Kaduna State Government is receiving security reports of kidnapping of some pupils and teachers in a primary school located in Rema, Birnin Gwari Local Government Area.

“According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred at an LEA Primary School in the LGA.

“The Kaduna State Government is currently obtaining details on the actual number of pupils and teachers reported to have been kidnapped and will issue a comprehensive statement as soon as possible.”

The latest incident occurred after security agencies, on Saturday, repelled attempts by bandits to attack the Government Science Secondary School, Ikara

Bandits Storm Kaduna Primary School, Kidnap Many Pupils, Teachers

Gunmen suspected to be bandits have attacked UBE Primary School, Rama in the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna state, abducting a yet-to-be ascertained number of pupils and teachers.

SaharaReporters gathered that the gunmen who came on motorcycles arrived at the school around 9 am on Monday.

The incident comes few days after bandits abducted 39 students of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanization, Afaka in the Igabi Local Government Area of the state.

In February 2021, gunmen struck the Government Secondary School in Kagara, Niger State, abducting school pupils, teachers, and workers.

Also on December 11, 2020, 344 secondary schoolboys were abducted from Kankara in Katsina, the home state of President Muhammadu Buhari, while he was there.

In February 2018, 110 schoolgirls were also abducted by Boko Haram from the Government Girls' Science and Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe State. Five died in the process while others were later released, except Leah Sharibu, a Christian girl who refused to renounce her faith.

Hundreds of schoolgirls were also kidnapped in Chibok in 2014 by Boko Haram, some of whom have not been released till date.

I have intentionally kept calm since you started spewing trash on Umueri matters, but, it's time I educate you a little.

the governor has no right under any known law to take over any parcel of land(s) except it is "Overriding Public Interest"

And, you cannot tell me that Airport is Overriding Public Interest to Agriculture

secondly, the governor and the government cannot take over any plot of land anywhere without first issuing a revocation notice and paying adequate compensation for it.

thirdly, the government and the governor can not aquire one plot of land outside the one which revocation notice was issued and which has been gazetted

it amazes me how some people come online to talk bla bla bla on issues they are totally naive of.

Amid anxiety over the fate of abducted students of Government College, Kagara, Niger State, bandits struck again in neigbourbing Katsina State, abducting a monarch and 13 others in two separate attacks.

The gunmen were said to have kidnapped the 91-year-old traditional ruler of Kunduru community on Friday night.

Sunday Vanguard learned that the victim who is the Galadiman Kunduru is the father of the Secretary to Katsina State Government, Alhaji Kasimu Ibrahim.

The monarch was whisked away by the gunmen who stormed the town on motorcycles

One of his children who pleaded for anonymity, confirmed the incident to Sunday Vanguard yesterday, adding that the incident had already been reported to the Police.

The nonagenarian was said to be having health challenges.

Sources also said the abductors had not made any contact with the family.

As of press time, the Permanent Secretary could not be reached as phone calls to his mobile phone were not replied to.

When contacted, spokesman for the Katsina State Police Command, Superintendent of Police, Gambo Isah, said he was not aware of the incident.

“ I am not aware of that incident,” he told Sunday Vanguard.

In a related development, gunmen kidnapped 13 travellers in Faskari Local Government Area of the state.

Isah also confirmed the incident, saying the bandits struck at 10: am on February 17, 2021.

He explained that the victims were travelling to Funtua from Mai Gora to collect loans from a bank provided through a family support programme.

The Police spokesman said three persons later escaped from the bandits.

He added that the Police were making efforts to ensure that abductees were rescued alive.

According to him, “it’s not true that seventeen women going for a wedding were abducted.

“What happened was that thirteen women from Mai Gora were travelling to Funtua for this family support loan facilities from a bank, somewhere before Dan Rimi village, these bandits came from the bush and shot at the tyres of the vehicle they were traveling in, forcing the driver to stop. Three women escaped while the remaining nine and the driver were abducted.

“We are making serious efforts to ensure that the nine women and the driver who are still in captivity are rescued alive. The incident happened at 10 a.m.”

Politics / Boko Haram Hoists Flag In Marte, Borno State by UmuEri(m): 5:47pm On Feb 20, 2021
Insurgents believed to be members of Boko Haram have hoisted their flag in parts of Marte local government in Borno State, according to military sources.

The insurgents repeatedly attacked the local government within the week.

On Friday, the insurgents attacked neighbouring Dikwa local government.

They were repelled by a combined effort of the air component and ground forces of Operation Lafiya Dole in a battle that lasted hours, sources said.

Meanwhile, the attack dislodged many residents of Dikwa who fled into bushes to take refuge.

The insurgents also laid an ambush for the reinforcements deployed from the theatre command headquarters located in Maiduguri.
The attack on Marte came barely two months after the Borno state government resettled 500 households in New Marte.

The casualty figure for the attack is still unknown, but some soldiers injured from Marte have since been evacuated to Maiduguri where they are currently being treated.

IPOB accepts Nigeria military confrontaion, vows never to relinquish any inch of Biafra ancestral land to Fulani Herdsmen from Sahel.

The Directorate of State

18TH February 2021

They Have finally Brought the War Upon the Biafran People.

The Nigerian government through its military has finally declared open confrontation with the Biafran people in their bid to harass, intimidate and cow us into submission to relinquish our ancestral lands to foreign Fulani terrorists.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide must gird their loins and be prepared for the long drawn out battle ahead. The leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra make bold to state unequivocally that there
shall be no inch of Biafran land (Biafran territory) to be ceded to the Fulani Marauders from
the Sahel.

The Nigerian army has thrown the gauntlet and we the Indigenous People of Biafra
Shall accept their challenge because there will neither be retreat nor surrender on this our
journey to liberty and freedom. Now that the Nigerian government has activated its final solution to the Biafran question with Helicopter gunships in Orlu, they have crossed the line of no return and for us the Indigenous People of Biafra there is only one option that is open for us.

We MUST defend every inch of our ancestral land and we MUST defend our inalienable right to live in the land of our ancestors as a free people to develop our CHUKWUOKIKEABIAMA given talents for the benefit and elevation of our people just like our ancestors did thousands of years before us.

Every IPOB family member should be very conscious of the time we have entered and exhibit the highest level of discipline and be ready to follow every directive as will be issued by Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)
worldwide.

Signed:

Time to take over from Amotekun is now', Nnamdi Kanu charges OPC

Following the statement by Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed on reason herdsmen would continue to carry AK-47, Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Bifra, IPOB, called on the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) to take over from Amotekun.

Recall Bauchi Governor recently explained that herdsmen would continue to carry weapons because they need protection.

Reacting, Nnamdi Kanu took to his Twitter handle on Friday, to call on the OPC to take over from the Southwest Security Outfit, noting the latter has been politicalised.

He tweeted; "Amotekun has been politicalised. What a shame! How can Amotekun with Pump Action/Dane Gun engage the 4th most dangerous terror group in the world that has sophisticated weapons like AK-47? It’s time for an outfit with pedigree like Odua People’s Congress (OPC) to take over."

The airport will ultimately be named after Chief Willie Obiano. Whether the next government do it or not. It cannot be disputed that he could have easily stolen the money like Orji Uzor Kalu, Rochas or even Hope Uzodinma, and nothing will happen.

Investing on important projects to uplift the state shows his love for the progress of his state.
Y
BTW, please don't mind those sore losers coming here to spill their frustration that another state is getting an airport. I know what my people saw when we were lobbying for Asaba airport and others were going out of their way to block it! Today, they all use Asaba airport and shamelessly forgot how they tried to block the project. Some of these people here are just dark bitter souls. The types that poison their best friend just because their best friend gained admission to a university or achieved a little success.

Besides, Nigeria is such a populous country that more airports with more airlines will help air travel to develop and become very cheap for more people to participate. They just have a very primitive mindset that Nigeria's population and economy will not grow anymore therefore, any airport using 5 people will continue with those 5 people for ever. They even forgot that until very recently only very few Nigerians had ever flown in an airplane.

For the records, the Airport is called Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport Umueri.

It is a State project done with state money and not Obiano's personal fund.

All appropriations/allocation for the project passed through the State House of Assembly including the Name of the Airport.

Suggesting that the Airport should be named after Obiano is foolishness (and a day dream).

If other Governor's who built Airports in their respective states didn't name the Airport after their names, why must Anambra own be named after the governor?

Or is Obiano the first governor to build Airport?

How Fulanis used Hausas as foot soldiers, Nnamdi Kanu reveals

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has revealed how the Fulani conquered and re-established emirates originally owned by Hausas.

Taking to his verified Twitter handle on Monday, the IPOB leader recalls that the Hausa had established well organised city states before the advent of the Fulani who he claimed are not indigenous to Nigeria.

According to him, the Fulanis came and made themselves Lords over the Hausas, who now work as their foot soldiers.

He said he founded the Eastern Security Network to fight against the plan to annihilate Igbo people.

He tweeted;

"The Hausa had established well organised city states before the advent of the Fulani who are not indigenous to Nigeria. These states include Katsina, Daura, Kano, Zazzau (Zaria), Biram & Gobir (now Sokoto). All of these were conquered and re-established by the Fulani as Emirates.

“Today Hausas are only used as foot soldiers by their lord & new masters the Fulani tribe. This is what Fulanis want to replicate in other parts of Nigeria & what #ESN was formed to stop. Sadly those who ignorantly believe in one Nigeria are aiding this relentless march of Fulanis.

“It all started with “allow us [Fulani] to graze our cattle on your land”. By the time they realised what was happening, it was already too late. Summary of how Fulani annihilated the Hausa Tribe. Exactly what they now are trying to do to #Biafrans & #Oduduwa."

Politics / Breaking: Nigerian Soldiers Resigns, Joins Nnamdi Kanu’s ESN– Military Sources by UmuEri(m): 2:37pm On Jan 22, 2021
Nigerian Soldiers Resigned To Join Kanu’s Eastern Network – Military Sources | Sahara Reporters

One of the military sources noted that more soldiers from the South-East, particularly those in the Operation Lafiya Dole Theatre Command, are currently being wooed to resign and join the ESN.

At least five soldiers of the Nigerian Army recently resigned to join Nnamdi Kanu’s Eastern Security Network, military sources have informed SaharaReporters, adding that the ESN is silently building a regional military force

One of the military sources noted that more soldiers from the South-East, particularly those in the Operation Lafiya Dole Theatre Command, are currently being wooed to resign and join the ESN.

It was learnt that some of the soldiers who resigned did so on the grounds that the ESN, being funded by both international and local donors, has better welfare packages for its officers than the military.

“The Kanu ESN boys are not a bunch of rookies and untrained fellows brandishing guns. I personally know five guys from my hometown in Anambra State who left the Nigerian Army to join the ESN. Two of them were formerly serving in Operation Lafiya Dole, Borno State, before they quit.

“We are being reliably informed that there are other soldiers, particularly of the South-East extraction, who will soon leave for other various reasons and they are likely to be recruited into the fold,” one of the sources said.

Kanu, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, had recently announced the formation of the Eastern Security Network as a regional force to protect the South-East and South South from banditry and attacks from Fulani herdsmen.

In July 2012, about 356 soldiers in the North-East and other theatres of operation had resigned from the army – some on voluntary retirement, while others cited loss of interest as their reason for disengagement.
