I don't really understand, like if I enter bus at Onitsha now, through Oni-Enu express road now. I will tell them to drop me at awkuzu junction?
So now the main airport road is currently underconstruction, so I will enter bike that will drop me at nteje through marist comprehensive school college.
So what next??

Just stop at Awkuzu junction. Enter any Bus/shuttle going to Umueri/Otuocha, and tell the driver to stop you at Airport road. (The Airport road is by the left immediately after Oyi Bridge which is the boundary between Nteje and Umueri)

From that Airport road you just walk-down the Airport

Pentagon007:

In my opinion, just leaving the Airport as Anambra International Airport would be better so that the airport's image will not be laced with political connotation. For Example, imagine a situation whereby a future governor is not in good terms with Obiano, but because the airport is named after such a person and in other to hurt Obiano's image, such a gov may choose not to give the airport the much needed attention. So it is in view of this that I think it will be tactical for the airport to not be named after any politician.
the name of the the Airport does not include Obiano's name. It is called Anambra International Cargo Airport Umueri.

Ignore mischief makers trying to smuggle Obiano's name in it

When completed, the Chief Willie Obiano International Airport Umueri will become the busiest airport in the whole SE/SS region. Indeed it is an enduring legacy project from the governor that all will always remember him for.
Point of correction, it is called Anambra International Cargo/Passenger Airport Umueri

Imo State Governorship Battle Returns To The Supreme Court.

AIF Media

The Supreme court must find a way to remove Hope Uzodimma as the governor of Imo state.

The judgement that made him the governor of Imo state is faulty from all sides you want to consider it.

First, the Supreme court in its own judgement on December 19, 2019 stated that Uche Nwosu had a double nomination. That allowed himself to be nominated by AA and APC.

On that premise, the Supreme court nullified the candidature of Uche Nwosu based on double nomination.

The question, if Uche Nwosu was the candidate of APC and AA, which party nominated Hope Uzodimma? On which political platform did he run the 2019 Imo state governorship election?

Was he an independent candidate?

Presently, a Motion on Notice has been filed at the Supreme court. The motion on notice is for the Supreme court to interpret its judgement of December 19, 2019 that said Uche Nwosu was the candidate of APC.

The motion also seeks the Apex court to enforce that judgement, sack Hope Uzodimma as the governor of Imo state and order the return of Emeka Ihedioha of PDP.

Chinobastardaw:

An airport that will soon be washed off by erosion chino? Anambra doesn't deserve an airport.. Most people in onitsha will always prefer to use the Asaba airport than the umueri airport that is almost situated in kogi state(igala land)

Chino Anambra should tackle its moral problems first and stop their fathers from raping their daughters

I can see that you are daft. Who told you that Umueri my community is almost situated at Kogi?

From Umueri to Onitsha is just about 15 minutes, while Asaba to Onitsha is almost 35 minutes.

Even if you have endemic brain tumor, at least, Google map could aid you.

And for your info, Umueri is a different community from Aguleri the Neighbouring community.

Politics / Re: Meet First Nigerian Billionaire Who Was Worth Over $4 Billion In 1950s by UmuEri(m): 9:09am On Mar 01, 2020
Shortly before Nigeria’s independence in 1960, Louis Odumegwu Ojukwu, reportedly Nigeria’s first black billionaire, and founding president of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II.

The royal honor came after he helped the British during World War II with his fleet of trucks. He was so wealthy that during the Queen’s visit in 1956, she was chauffeured around in his Rolls-Royce – apparently the only one in the country at the time – on the request of the colonial Administration

Profiled in September 1965 by TIME magazine, Ojukwu made his money by importing dried fish for resale, and diversifying into textiles, cement and transport. When he died a year later, his wealth was an estimated $4 billion in today’s economic value.

His son, Chukwuemeka, who also ended up a billionaire, returned from Oxford University at 22 with a master’s degree in history and led his fellow Igbos into the Nigerian civil war as head of the secessionist state of Biafra in 1967.

Their hometown Nnewi, in the southeastern state of Anambra, either by good fortune or hard work, has bred more naira billionaires than any other town in Nigeria, and possibly Africa.

The Igbos, who sometimes refer to themselves as the ‘Jews of Africa’, have entrepreneurship in their blood. They have built themselves from the ground up, with little help from the government, after a controversial policy left them all with 20 pounds each, regardless of their bank balance, at the end of the Nigerian civil war in 1970.

Nicknamed the Japan of Africa, Nnewi is famous as a hub for automobile spare part dealers, and most recently, Innoson, Nigeria’s first indigenous car assembly plant. The town is also known for its factories that manufacture household goods and is home to the biggest road transport companies in the country.

Nnewi, with a little over two million residents, is a 30-minute drive from the Onitsha – the biggest outdoor market in West Africa – on the banks of the Niger River

MEET FIRST NIGERIAN BILLIONAIRE WHO WAS WORTH OVER $4 BILLION IN 1950s

Not many people knew about Louis Odumegwu Ojukwu, but a greater number of people knew his son, Late Chief Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu .

Sir Louis odumegwu ojukwu , the first-ever recorded Nigerian Billionaire. He was considered the wealthiest person in Nigeria and Africa as at that time. His Net-Worth calculated to be Over 4 billion dollars as of 1950s.

He was the founder of ojukwu Transport, Ojukwu stores, and Ojukwu Textiles. He was the first and founding president and of the Nigerian Stock exchange Market. He was also the chairman of the board of many profitable companies in Nigeria then such as shell oil company, Guinness Nigeria limited.

He started his professional career at the agricultural department before leaving to join John Holt as a Tyre sales clerk before diversifying into the textile and transport sector exhibiting the entrepreneurial spirit of the South East.

He was also reportedly the first Nigerian Billionaire man to own a Mercedes Benz in all of Nigeria then. Starting as a low-level employee to a billionaire shows that hard work, focus and determination pay off. It was also reported that his rolls Royce was used to carry the queen of England on her first visit to Nigeria, he was the only African man that own a limousine.

The record of his Net-Worth at a time was not able to be calculated, becasue he was into real estate and owns up to 70% of landed properties in Lagos.

Coronavirus has now been confirmed in almost 10 countries. It is airborne and has no known cure yet.

Our most advanced healthcare system should all be focused on our international airports and borders.

And please handcuff Buhari to a table in Aso Rock so he doesn't travel.

That means una still get land if that is the only one left for the entire generation...
not if Obiano forcefully takes it over. though we have settled with the commissioner of works who happens to be from Aguleri too that they are moving back to the original one given to them.

but criminal elements are still bent on trying to take over people's land and share among themselves in the name of building airport city.

Update on Anambra cargo airport Umueri
you see that place you are now, that is a different location from the land given to them.

see the pictures I took below yesterday...

those expans of land was not given to Obiano. the place given to them is still inside. about 1300 hecters.

as at last week, the government has assured that they will move inside to the place given to them (parcel A and Parcel B)

parcel A is 728 hecters while parcel B is 529 hecters.

but the place they came to grab was Parcel C & D whish is about 600 hecters. that is what the community is protesting because nobody gave them that one and that is the only land left for our community. that is where we farm and that is the only ancestral land left for our entire generation.

meanwhile, Umueri was choosen for the airport before the emergence of Obiano. so he is a small boy compared to the issues that brought the airport in the first place.

even if he wants to remove it from Umueri, he cannot because he lacks the powers.
Aviation business is not a child's play. you can finish building and FG will not licence you if it fell short of the requirements.

meanwhile, donate your swampy Aguleri land for the rest of the projects.

I didnt know I was wasting my time talking to two dumb illiterates. How is it difficult to understand that Obiano is building an airport city not just an airport which will require more land than the ones previously earmaked for just an airport? how is that difficult to understand. Please stop mentioning me and believe what every nonsense you want to believe. The 1500 hectares govt wants for the project is on course. Keep crying
let him go and build the remaining project on your swampy land at Aguleri. we don't want it.

rants of a mad man, If I were to be Obiano I will simply move the project to Aguleri, Igbariam or back to the Oba airport site and then use the Umueri land earmarked for the airport for state refuse disposal site and see if there is anything a noisemaker like you can do about that. But I won't judge your foolishness anyway as the what is obtainable in Umueri
I can understand your frustrations

Aguleri is a swampy area so anytime you people see dry land you start grabbing it like popcorn
