I talked with my agent, he said the slot the have will expire on dec 15, when I asked what type of work, below is his response "We have store keeper
Supervisor
Driller
And truck driver
Presently but if I connect with my friend there is working in engineering company"

He is not going to get work Visa with my findings.

The only way I found out is getting a job offer from there.

If you have experience in Civil engineering, you can apply to jobs in Germany directly and you may get either a blue card or work permit. Without a little work experience, I don't know how you would go about it.

The only way I know in that case would be to apply for a 6 months job search visa, where you have to show proof of finance for all 6 months. But that route even may still not work out if you have no work experience and you may likely be denied that visa. School is still the easiest way for those without experience.

I don't know if there's a work visa for menial jobs, that I am not sure of and highly doubt, else that would have been your best bet. You can research on that though.

Did you ask your agent for the name of the company and job he was talking about? What was his response?

My brother, I have 16 years job experience in construction.

I really appreciate you guys for your sincere and prompt response on this subject. Please if you have another means or route of getting in to Germany apart from academic. I intend to work first before any educational upgrade. Please General I still count on you for more assistance.

Scam. Even if that is true for the benefit of doubt, a German Employer would not give you the job automatically, you would need at least a series of virtual/ online interviews. If you don't do these interviews directly with the so called company and get a job contract from them, you cannot get a work visa no matter the agent or middle man working for you. That is how it is in Germany, so better save yourself from getting scammed.

Thanks my general. I will talk with him and definitely will feed you back.

I studied civil engineering technology and have HND (upper credit)

When I asked, he said that they normally get slots from certain a company.

That doesn't sound real, beware of these agents.
What you should do is this:
Ask the agent how he/she is gonna go about this. You don't get work visa to Germany with 2.7 million naira, rather you get work visa to Germany by getting a job contract directly from a company, so how would the agent grant you this work contract?
If you ask me, I'll say the agent has to give you the details of the process and how he/she would go about it and then you Google it out before going along, else you'll likely get scammed.
What is your occupation/field?

I studied civil engineering technology and have HND (upper credit)

Thanks dear
An agent that wants to help asked me to pay whooping amount of money 2.7m to get me work Visa, and that I would be going to company straight from here to work, but the type of work am not sure of at the moment.

Please if am going to resume in a particular company, will it give me a legal stay in Germany and perhaps get me the blue card?

And how long will it take to reunite with my family?

Please General, if you don't mind can chat you privately.

No worries
Yes you need a job offer in Germany before getting the pre-approval.
You can also apply for a Job seeker VISA even if you don't have a job yet, if granted you can travel to Germany and you have six months to look for a job (https://www.germany-visa.org/job-seeker-visa/)

You can check the Anabin database here (https://anabin.kmk.org/anabin.html) to check if your institution and course of study is listed. If not, the process is a bit more complicated. Please read more here: https://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/en/skilled-worker-immigration/2304796

You can actually get a lot of answers to all the questions you might have by browsing the internet

Thanks again.may God grant all your heart desires.

Information regarding the skilled immigration act is available here (https://www.make-it-in-germany.com/en/visa-residence/skilled-immigration-act) but basically your employer in Germany needs to help you process the pre-approval documents from the immigration authorities.

Thanks so much for your reply. Please I followed the link. I noticed that the person seeking for skilled immigration most be a qualified professional hence I have these questions to ask please:
a. I studied civil engineering here in Nigeria
And have HND am I eligible to apply for skilled immigration?
b. Must I have a job offer in Germany before applying for the Visa.

Please no vex say I dey worry you, it just I that don't much about travel procedure. Thanks.

Lawyer verification process started August 6, 2021.
Got a mail from KVR to submit some documents September 7, 2021
VISA approved Email October 11, 2021 and to submit travel insurance and travel dates
Some delay in submitting travel insurance and some requested documents, VISA delivered today November 15, 2021

Unvaccinated people can travel. You just have to make your negative covid test ready. I have no idea where you can do the test. But when you get a place to do the test, please let us know so that we can do ours there too. Safe trip to Deutschland. smiley smiley

Test can be done in Benin, it's cheaper there 30k per person.

Don't mind him. You're correct. "An HND" is right. See my explanation above.

To your question, yes, you can go directly to a master's degree in the US with your HND certificate from Nigeria. My recommendation is that you start with a WES evaluation. WES will evaluate your HND degree and most likely return it as a US bachelor's degree. This will make you eligible for a US master's degree. If you need any more help on how to go about this, let me know.

Master na Master. God no go rest if e never bless you! Thanks for being here.

Lol, I am one year and three months in Germany and my own story is different.
Well, let me start by saying that we all have different ways of seeing things and we are all different.
I really love Germany. I have saved alot of money within my 1yr 3 months of being a student, I mean millions of naira.
Imagine what will happen if I stay for five years here. I see myself really making waves in Germany honestly.
If language is a barrier, then break it, also consider going into the IT field because they demand lesser German and there are more opportunities there too.
My number one priority after my studies is being a German citizen by either getting a professional job or by marriage.
Then after getting my German citizenship, even if I must leave Germany, then it must be in a country with a higher probability of making more money, maybe I can try the USA or Australia but not Canada. Canada is obviously poorer than Germany and their Economy is tied to oil which is declining now in value due to the recent global adoption of renewable energy. I also heard of the high rate of unemployment among educated people without Canadian experience to the extent that many Ph.D. holders drive Taxi to make money. There are many qualified individuals living there due to the express entry and whatever you think you think you know, there are thousands who know it better thereby making the competition higher especially if you don't have Canadian experience.
For me, it is one of the best countries if your aim is permanent residency because they give it faster than most countries, but if your aim is making lots of money, then America and Australia offers a better option.
The cost of living is also very high thereby making you earn to pay bills and save little, and the weather is very cold.

Not trying to discourage you but make sure you do your research very well before jumping from frying pan to fire, it's not easy anywhere and the devil you know is better than the angel you don't know.

Germany is my dream country, please help me with steps and routes to follow. I am a civil engineer here in Nigeria. I don't want to miss 2022.
