mikeapollo:I honestly don't care about their propaganda. As long as Hamas continues to exist and is still holding the hostages, let Palestinians continue to suffer. |
DeepSight:For an issue that has lasted 77 years with no end in sight, one party surely has to give way for the other to have peace. A report released early this year showed that of the 17,000 Hamas members killed by Israel, Hamas has successfully replaced them with recruits. Where did the recruits come from? You guessed right, the "peaceful and innocent civilians". We are looking for a savage group of people who teach their children the benefits of death (martyrdom), the need to kill the Jews and reclaim Al Quds (Jerusalem), etc. We are looking at a society filled mainly with savage extremists, a people who trooped out to celebrate the 9/11 World Trade Centre attack in the US, a people who joined Hamas to kidnap innocent Israelis at a music festival, some of them held these captives hostage in their homes. CCTV footage from different homes in Southern Israel showed Palestinian civilians assaulting Israeli citizens, ransacking homes and looting properties alongside fully kitted Hamas fighters, those who poured out on the streets to celebrate while Hamas paraded the naked body of an Israeli girl taken from the music festival and raped and beaten to death. Earlier this year, Hamas fighters brought out the coffins of the Bibas family, consisting of 2 dead babies and their mother, and we saw these savages called Palestinians celebrate, including Palestinian teenagers, all celebrating as Hamas paraded the coffins of 2 babies and their mother after previously killing their dad. At what point does Israel say, "Enough is enough"? It's either they go or we go. At this point, Israel can't exterminate all the Palestinians, but Israel can set a deterrence and cut off all relations with the Palestinians, including a total migration ban on all of them. Palestinians should no longer be allowed into Israel, either for work, healthcare, or any other reason. The bombardments taking place in Gaza are well deserved and should continue until Hamas surrenders. I refuse to cry more than the bereaved. If Hamas doesn't care about its own people, I also don't care about them. A former Prime Minister of Israel once said, "Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us.", Golda Meir. |
DeepSight:Question 1: Do you believe that the Jews are God's chosen people and the "Holy Land" is theirs by right of Divine appointment and covenant? People view the issue in Palestine either from a religious point or a historic point of view. I view things more from a historical point of view, which I think is rich enough to defend my support for Israel. This does not mean that those who view things from a religious point of view are totally wrong, especially when it's clear that we are dealing with a terrorist group that started this war, not to create a Palestinian state, but to achieve Jihad based on what was issued in their religious book. Also, we can't completely rule out the religious books, as those books document actual historical events. So do I think Jews are God's chosen people, hell YES. In my own tradition, I'm also a special person. As long as you believe in the Jewish God, then YES, the Jews are the chosen people of their God, as boldly written in the Torah and Old Testament, but for the sake of Logic, let's leave out the religious views and focus only on the historical point of view. Question 2: Do you believe that Palestinians have a right to sovereignty of their own? All indigenous people have the right to self-determination. The Jews sought self-determination in 1937, but it was rejected by the Arabs. The Jews sought self-determination in 1947/1948, but it was once again rejected by the Arabs. This time around, the Arabs declared war and lost. The Palestinians have the right to sovereignty, but they are fully responsible for their lack of independence today. The Arabs had gotten Jordan, which was 78% of Palestine. The British banned Jews from settling there, and so Jordan was 100% Arab. The UN proceeded to split the remaining 22% in half in 1947, giving 56% of it to the Jews and 44% to the Arabs. This was the best for the Arabs to accept their independence in peace, but they chose war instead. After they lost the war, they had 20 years, from 1948 - 1967, to declare their independence, but they instead prepared for another war, a war that changed the region forever. Question 3: Do you believe that there have been wrongs on both sides? You are right to claim that there have been wrongs on both sides. No one is above mistakes. There will always be miscalculations. |
DeepSight:Kindly list out the Arab villages that were taken by Jews before 1948? Palestine was a geographic location not a country. Just like we have the Sahara. Lots of the Areas that make up Israel were bought by Jews and some others were deserts and swamps. Why are you only talking about the Jews who came from Europe while ignoring the Jews who have been living there even before the European Jews started arriving? Why do you continue to deceive and lie to yourself? Who were the inhabitants of Tel-Aviv before 1948? No one. Tel-Aviv is one of cities built from scratch by the Jews on swamp land in 1909. They never contested for that land with Arabs as it was not inhabited by anyone. |
DeepSight:It seems you love half truths. First lie you said is that Jews have already taken majority of the land. This is false. The British, in cooperation with the French, split the land in 1920, giving 78% of it to the Arab to create Jordan. The UN, in 1947, split the remaining 22% of the land between the Jews and the Arabs with the Jews getting 56% of that 22% (made up largely of the Nagev Desert) and the Arabs getting 44% of it. Jerusalem was to become an international city run by the international community. You claimed that Arabs have been there for thousands of years. Same goes for the Mizrahi Jews who never left the left during the Roman Empire's conquest of Jerusalem. You said every attempt at Palestinian statehood had been blocked by Israel. This is another lie. The peel accords was proposed before the creation of Israel and it rejected by the Arabs. The 1947 partition plan of the UN was also rejected the Arabs. Let me also make it clear to your that the UN did not create Israel. The UN created a partition plan that was rejected by one party (Arabs) and accepted by the other (Jews). The State of Israel as we know it today was created by the Zionist Leaders led by Ben Gurion in 1948 following the declaration of independence after the British pulled out of the region. The Arabs would then proceed to declare war against the Jewish state, a war in which they lost and Israel remained an Independent state after losing 1% of its population in what is now know as the War of Independence in 1948. So you see, the UN only created a proposal (the partition plan), the UN did not follow through to ensure its plan was implemented. One would also wonder why the Palestinians failed to declare their independence from Egypt and Jordan after 1948. Instead, they waited 20 years to go to war again against Israel in 1967 instead of simply declaring their independence. They had Hebron, they had Gaza, they had all of Jerusalem but they didn't declare their independence, rather, they went to war and you have the audacity to say Israel blocked their attempt at independence. Let's not even talk about the peace deals that led to the 1st and 2nd intifada or the peace proposal of 2008 offered by the then Prime Minister of Israel. The Palestinians have never wanted Israel to exist, and it's high time Israel took the right step of completely wiping out the threat to their existence. You can't make it a national and lifelong policy to end my existence and think I would sit down and watch you live to accomplish it. |
Jcoleworld911:Now you are responding with facts not the usual vague response like that Chikeluba25 guy. Chikeluba25, come here and learn how to respond to arguments with facts not vague emotions. For your claims, I will contact someone to verify your claim of water in every part of Anambra. Your excuse for the lack of landscaping at the ICC is invalid. The ICC in Enugu has good landscaping and its hotel is also ongoing at the same time within the premises. I also need to verify your claim of 5 new general hospitals. I know Soludo was constructing 5 general hospitals but I will verify if they have been completed like you claimed and also see what these hospitals look like, if there look like modern hospitals or the usual Anambra village kind of infrastructure that looks like a warehouse. |
MKPUOGALIGA:Yes I will celebrate the events hosted in my little ICC. Why won't I celebrate when my little ICC hosted an event so large, not even Lagos and Abuja have been able to host something of such capacity before talk less of Anambra ![]() Lol @ best healthcare facilities. Show workings not too much talk. If not because this is the Anambra thread, I would have posted pictures of the real healthcare revolution talking place in Enugu. Newly built Ekwulobia Ekwulobia is a town and it is not newly built. One flyover does not transform a town into a city. In 3 years, Dave Umahi completed about 3 flyovers in Ebonyi, within the same time frame, Obiano completed 3 flyovers in Anambra. Soludo has spent 4 years on 1 flyover in Ekwulobia ![]() |
MKPUOGALIGA:Now you are getting somewhere. I want to hear facts not the usual vague talk. 1) You mentioned people are dying of typhoid fever in Enugu. Kindly tell me the state in Nigeria where people don't die of typhoid fever, and while you are at it, kindly show me a report that states that there is a typhoid pandemic in Enugu that is worse than what is happening in other states in Nigeria. 2) You mentioned education. Just as Soludo introduced free education in Primary and Secondary schools in Anambra, same policy was introduced in Enugu, so no difference. In addition to the free education, the Enugu state government is constructing 260 new schools, 1 in each ward, in Enugu. Some of the schools have been completed and will be opening for studies this September. You can go and verify (in Peter Obi's voice). The largest technical college in Enugu has also been fully renovated with new structures and facilities which beats anything we have seen in Nigeria as a whole. Enugu has also employed 11,000 (out of a target of 15,000) new teachers who will teach in these new schools. In comparison, Soludo only employed 5000 new teachers. Go and verify. 3) You mentioned health. We all know that Enugu has not been too good in health which was the fault of previous administrations not the current Mbah administration. Within 2 years, the Mbah administration has started his project of constructing 260 new primary healthcare centers, 1 in each ward, across Enugu to bring healthcare access closer to the people. Some of these primary healthcare centers have been completed and others are currently under construction. While the 260 hospitals are type-2 primary healthcare centers, there are also 9 type-3 primary healthcare centers ongoing, 22 secondary healthcare centers plus an additional 300-bed international hospital at Rangers Avenue that is already 50% complete. 4) Water crisis. This is still a major issue as the Enugu state government has not resolved this, but in comparison, can you list out the neighborhoods in Anambra that currently receive pipe borne water from the government. Can you swear that you get pipe borne water in your house in Onitsha? The same Onitsha were residents living upstairs suffer to fetch water with buckets from a neighbour's private borehole to their homes upstairs. Just as Enugu lacks pipe borne water, so does Anambra also lack pipe borne water across various parts of the state. If Anambra distributes water to every city center, kindly counter what I've just written, but if not, kindly hide your face in shame for criticising another state for the same issue taking place in your state. |
MKPUOGALIGA:Lol. What a stupid emotional take. These arguments started when your own brother ignorantly concluded that Enugu Air will fail. What brought Enugu Air into Anambra forum? So when an Anambra person prays for the Airline of a sister state to fail, is that not the same thing you are accusing others of doing to Anambra? So you want to criticise the projects of other other States but don't want the mediocre projects of your talkative government in Anambra to be criticized? 4 years down, and Anambra's IGR is still the same. A technocrat governor that is using Areaboys to fight insecurity and collect tax Village people with their village vision. |
Chikeluba25:This is my issue with some of you. You guys make vague statements devoid of facts. I was expecting you to mention what Soludo has achieved that is greater than what is currently obtainable in Enugu, but you mentioned none. You didn't even fact-check my points or make credible comparisons, just the usual "keep deceiving yourself" line that proofs nothing. Waste of argument. |
I never even mention the BRT transport system that just started functioning in Enugu, the new tractors that have started working on over 30,000 hectares of farmland in Enugu etc. The tractor company is also setting up its assembly plant in Enugu for faster production if its tractors locally. Oga abeg stop comparing Mbah to talkative Soludo. Mbah is far more visionary. Do you want to compare the security situation room built in Enugu to the one that is nonexistent in Anambra? How many CCTV cameras are functioning in Anambra's main city centers? Anambra that records 5 times more crime cases than any other states in the South East and you have the audacity to praise Soludo. |
MKPUOGALIGA:ICC in Anambra is 3 times larger but the smaller ICC in Enugu hosted the largest tech summit in Nigeria's history, a summit larger than what has ever taken place in Lagos and Abuja. What of the massive meeting of legal practitioners that took place in Enugu? That small ICC has proven to be better than the larger ICC Awka. The stupid bigger plan is taking ages to accomplish. Have you seen the ICC hotel in Enugu? Have you seen the level of work there? Compare ICC hotel Enugu to ICC hotel Awka and see how flawed your argument is. You guys should start telling Soludo the truth. This nonsense he doing, claiming that he has not borrowed bla bla bla is no longer cutting it for me. The guy should start showing workings and talking less and I mean workings that have class not all those village and warehouse looking projects like the Awka ICC. |
MKPUOGALIGA:If you say he has performed better than Otti, then you are factually correct, but to say he has performed better than Mbah is self deceit. Mbah has his shortcomings, for example, he hasn't solved the water crisis in Enugu despite promising to fix that in 180 days, but based on the number of projects completed, the speed at which the projects were completed, the number of ongoing projects and their current level of completion, oga Mbah destroys Soludo. |
abuzz33:Exactly. These guys hyping Soludo here have really poor taste and standards. Take the aerial photographs of Awka ICC and show it to a person who doesn't know about the project, then ask the people to tell you what he/she thinks is in the image. I'm sure the person will say it's a Factory or Warehouse due to how ugly and old-fashioned the building looks coupled with it's environment still filled with red clay after more than 4 years since it was completed. Enugu state government, in just 2 years, has completed the ICC, the presidential hotel, renovated the Nike Lake resort incorporation with Landmark, has gone past 50% completion of the ICC Hotel, is fast completing the over 300-bed international hospital, multiple primary healthcare centers and smart schools, etc all in 2 years. The technical college recently renovated by the government in Enugu to a smart technical college was a piece of art that was trending on X for some days. These ones are here celebrating a talkative doing village projects everywhere. |
Jcoleworld911:Do you know how many people have called out Soludo? Did Soludo not promise to end insecurity in Anambra? He has spent almost 4 years in office and Anambra has become the most insecure state in Southern Nigeria. Even the vigilante group (Agunechemba) he introduced has become a criminal organisation. The man talks too much and has little action. In 2 years, Mbah can showcase as much completed projects as Soludo in almost 4 years. Look at the ICC Awka, still devoid of proper landscaping after more than 4 years since it was completed. Now look at the ICC Enugu after less than 1 year of renovation, it has proper landscaping, it has hosted 3 top events that drew Nigerians from all over country including Nigeria's largest tech summit. Can we kindly compare the ICC hotel in Awka to the ongoing ICC hotel in Enugu? That of Enugu radiates class and sophistication. Look up the images yourself. Look at the 5 bus terminals that were completed this month across Enugu. I'm sure they will complete their landscaping before that of the ICC Awka. Does Anambra have any comparable terminal to manage vehicular traffic when picking and dropping off passengers and loads? No. Look at tax collection. Commercial motorists pay their taxes with their tax cards in Enugu. People take their cards to a POS agent to pay their taxes. To confirm if a person has paid his/her tax, the tax collector simply taps your card on a machine to check if you have paid your tax for that day. This was something Soludo said he was going to introduce in Anambra when he was contesting. 4 years down the line, and Anambra is still selling tickets the old-fashioned way where money can be siphoned by the tax collector. We are patiently waiting for 2024 IGR report. This is when I will really come for that talkative of a Governor called Soludo. If Enugu state truly generated over 100 billion in 2024, then Soludo is a complete disgrace to himself because 4 years down the line, Anambra is still hovering at 33 billion despite its economy being under the able hands of a so-called Economist and PhD holder. |
Bestmanfornow:I was not comparing anyone, I only responded to the guy who claimed that Enugu Air will fail. That was an ill-thought-out statement devoid of facts. Like I said before, Enugu Air records at least 1 flight everyday to and from Lagos. We haven't even started talking about their Abuja flights. In comparison to Soludo/Anambra, Enugu Air will generate far more income than the Fun Center soludo built in Awka. |
samnaija:It hasn't been concluded yet. I hope it gets concluded soon and other Chinese apps like Alipay and WeChat also get banned. They can still tolerate Temu for now. |
0bjpmb:Na Chino I even dey follow argue. My bad. I suppose check moniker before. |
Notice how US apps are blocked in China and some other countries without noise, no media frenzy, nobody is accusing anyone of being anticompetitive. Let's wait until the US retaliates first. |
0bjpmb:Not sustainable like the 94 billion naira generated by Ibom Air last year? Lol. Let's watch and see sha. |
PulaPower:Lol. Those silly protests taking place in Democrat controlled states. When protests start in Ohio, Texas and Pennsylvania, then I'll take you seriously. |
Very greedy king. These guys forced all the traders in Ikorodu and Sabo Markets to close their shops to honour this anniversary. As if that was not enough, they levied a fee of 10k on every trader and made it compulsory for each trader to buy the Asoebi. The Asoebi itself cost 25k and every trader had to buy it including those who were not interested in attending the event. I really don't understand this type of aggressive and greedy royalty that is practiced in this part of Nigeria. |
0bjpmb:Okorocha handed Imo Airlines to Dana, a company that couldn't run itself properly talk less of running another airline simultaneously. Enugu Air however, is run and managed by XE-Jet. If you fly a lot, you would know XE-Jet. They are one of the best in the business currently. |
Jcoleworld911:The deal will survive. Enugu Air is less than 2 months old. With time, the airline will start purchasing its own airplanes. They fly to and from Lagos at least once every day which means they are getting customers and will now compete with Air Peace, United Nigeria, SmartLynx etc who are the major airlines that fly to Enugu. Give them some time. |
People that claim to love themselves ![]() Self deceit pro max |
allthingsgood:Palestine is Judea. Don't you know history, or do you just cherry-pick the history that favours your argument? After the Romans conquered the Kingdom of Israel, Judea and Jerusalem, they renamed the area Palestina. Palestina or Palestine is a Jewish territory and has always been a Jewish territory. The Arabs claiming to be Palestinians today are products of the Islamic Conquests that took over the Middle East after the fall of the Christian Byzantine Empire, which had previously conquered the Roman Empire. |
bigpriik:Mizrahi Jews who make up bulk of the population of Israel look like Arabs. |
Drshobz:Same way the Palestinians of today are not the Palestinians of the Roman Empire who first renamed Judea to Palestine. The whole area was occupied by Jews. Tell those Arab refugees to go to Jordan or better still, go back to their ancestral homeland in Arabia. |
Long overdue. Judea and Samaria was renamed West Bank by the government of Transjordan in 1950, an attempt to wipe off the Jewish link to their historic homeland. The area will return to its rightful owners. |
360command:The only real match for Israel is no real match. No reasonable Arab country will go to war against Israel at this time except the government of that country is mad. Looking at what Israel did to Iran, is it Jordan or Egypt or Saudi Arabia that are much closer to Israel that will survive in a war against Israel? Dem won die? They don't even have the vast array of ballistic missiles to overwhelm Israel's air defences like Iran did. |
360command:Hezbollah was more powerful than the Lebanese military and were one of the major forces keeping the Assad regime in power in Syria. The Houthis defeated the Yemeni government and took over the capital of Yemen plus extra land and vital oil and port assets. The Houthis fought Saudi Arabia to a standstill. Yeah Iran has more firepower but Israel still humiliated them. It's a huge shame for your enemy to control your airspace and your air force at the same time. The only thing Iran achieved in the 12-day war was that it survived. |
