Life can be tough, especially when a judge says you’re dead in the eyes of the law.

That’s exactly what happened to Ohio resident Donald Eugene Miller Jr. on Monday when a judge upheld a 1994 court ruling declaring the 61-year-old legally dead.

The Courier reports that 19 years ago, a court in Hancock County declared Miller legally dead eight years after he disappeared from his rental home.

As a result, Miller has lost his Social Security number and his driver’s license.

Judge Allan Davis called it a "strange, strange situation," but he also said the court cannot budge in its decision.

"We've got the obvious here,” Davis said. “A man sitting in the courtroom, he appears to be in good health.”

Each state can make its own laws regarding declaring someone legally dead. Most generally rely on a similar set of criteria: that someone is missing and presumed dead if they can't be located for at least seven years, the absence has been continuous and a genuine effort has been made to locate the person.

Miller said he is a recovering alcoholic and abandoned his rental home while in the throes of his addiction. He said he returned to the court as part of an effort to get his life back together.

"It kind of went further than I ever expected it to," Miller told the court. "I just kind of took off, ended up in different places.”

Technically, Miller can petition to have his Social Security number reinstated in federal court, but his attorney, Francis Marley, told the Courier that Miller does not have the financial resources to pursue a second hearing.

"My client's here on a wing and a prayer today," Marley said.

His ex-wife, Robin Miller, asked for the initial death ruling so that Social Security death benefits could be paid to their two children. She reportedly declined to testify in court on Monday.

"I don't know where that leaves you, but you're still deceased as far as the law is concerned," Davis said.

Robin Miller says she opposed overturning the death ruling, because she would then have to pay back the federal government for the benefits she received and does not have the financial means to do so. Donald Eugene Miller reportedly owed her $26,000 in child support at the time of his “death.”

Despite Miller’s efforts to come clean with the court, Davis said there is a three-year legal limit for reversing a death ruling.

However, Miller said he wasn’t even aware of his legal “death” until his parents told him about it when he finally returned to Ohio in 2005.

I don't know what you call prayer oh. But I want to tell you that most times we pray to GOD without knowing we did. Do you want to tell me that if you see yourself in a danger and you need to talk to GOD to deliver you urgently, that you will not pray if you don't have your hair tie?
Do you know that shouting the blood of JESUS only is a complete prayer. When you shout the blood of JESUS in danger you just prayed and if you did not cover your hair according to our quote above then you have sinned. Let us leave religion and face the real things that will take us to heaven which are RIGHTEOUSNESS, PURITY, LOVE, HOLINESS ETC.

udemzy_udex: if u believe in small odds i.e u don't care staking on small odds like 1.30- 1.45,then try this.

Top 3 versus bottom 3
or top 4 vs bottom 4

top 1,2,3 playing against bottom 1,2,3

Top 1,2,3,4 playing against bottom 1,2,3,4

Remember no system is 100% sure,u can use this on any sport apart from horse racing.
U might be lucky to get odds of 1.49 - 1.55

Your system is good but to get the bottom three I prefer to take the bottom three before the relegated teams and the new arrived teams from the lower division. I.e Manu vs Hull City or crystal palace. Na sure win. That part of my strategy. You just rigged it out of my brain. albacete: I must commend u for all the vital info u have passed across to the house. In as much as i would not like to dwell on the issue of d bookies having an edge in the 1x2 market, i beg to disagree when u say u have 33.3% chance in the 3-way market.

A simple question would suffice: Brest and BATE Borisov (Belarus league) is playing today by 16:00. Over 0.5 goals is 1.02 and under 0.5 goals is 11.0 (Paddy Power). Are u now saying that the likelihood of the match ending in a goal-less draw (under 0.5) is 50% since it has 1 chance in 2?

The chances of an outcome happening in the 1x2 market is not always 33%. That was my view initially until i got to know how the odds reflect the outcome of an event happening.
When pricing d odds of a match, the probability of each outcome happening is included in the odds. The probability may be 33% (in an odd of 3.0) or 90% (in an odd of 1.10). Just divide 1 by d odds to get the true chance of the outcome.
A team having an odd of 1.25 in the 1x2 market has an 80% likelihood, not 33%.

That's why the higher the chances of winning the lower the odds.

jasper7: This first system is just an inspiration that dropped while I read through alba, soma and Unclenna's system. After going throug it thoroughly, I have come up with this system. Please don't hesitate to criticize this system carelessly, and also raise up questions and doubts.

System Odds >2.0: This system requires between 3-9 good tested and trusted punters. We'll divide the time of the day into 3 parts. Which is 8hrs for every part. The 9 punters will now share themselves into groups of 3. Each group gets one part of the day. So group1 can take from 12 to 8am, group2, 8am to 4pm and group 3 from 4pm to 12. Now each group is supposed to supply the thread with one game of odds2.0 or above everyday. (Either in a combo or single). I believe that if the 9 punters are really handpicked, at least 2 of the 3 groups shud win everyday. Which is a bit of profit. I a case where 2 lose. It won't be much of a loss and if 3 win it would be big profit. I don't think bet of odd 2.0 shud be much of a problem for any good punter. If your account is large enough, you can use martingale system on such bets, such dat once one of the groups win you have made your target profit for the day

I like what you are saying here. But this is not a complete betting system. This system lacks the method the groups will use to select the clubs we will place bet on. Whan you talk about system it must have the basis on which you conclude that a bet will be successful. Somadila, what do you base your decision in when selecting clubs / markets to bet on. Whatever you base your decision i what your sstem is. And that is what I think this house needs. Let's flood them here and analyse them so that everyone can learn from them and add value to his account and betting knowledge. GOD bless you all. somadila: Nice one, just that such games play only once in a week meaning u bet only 4 times in a month. The question is how many punters can be well disciplined to punt only 4 times in a month ?

I disagree with the bold, In a league like English premier man U is good for it, for Spain real mad and barca, and other leagues which are more than 20 leagues and championship. With this, you can find it and place bets up to 10 times in a week. Shine your eyes bro......Time is not my friend now but I will be dropping the leagues and clubs you can take advantage off soon. Barca vs Real Madrid over 1.5 goal @ odd of 1.45
Man U vs Wigan = man u wins @ 1.17
Total odds = 1.69............. With this odd for every $1 I bet I will make 0.69 cents.that's the type of bets I place. I look for them and I always find them in all the leagues I bet on and most times I win. That's how to win the bookie in the long run.
