Advantages of hollow blocks slab.

- Its more economical.
Hollow blocks is more cheaper to execute than normal RC slab. It saves more than 40% of total cost of both labour and materials to be used in construction.

for example. If you need 200pcs y12mm bars for decking in normal slab, you will need 120-150pcs of y12mm bars for hollow blocks slab. Same as cement and gravels.

- Low self-weight
Because of the hollow blocks been used, it reduces the quantity of concrete to be used which increases the dead load (self weight) of the building.

- More stable.
Hollow blocks slabs uses mostly beams which intersects with one another strategically, making it more stable.

It suppose to be hollow clay pot, (not necessary made of clay) that is lighter, shorter in lenght and tougher.

Thank you for your suggestions. I did replastered the down part and I havent experienced it since I did. But the damp has risen above the replastered area.

I noticed the plaster is already weak too, I don't know if its because of the dampness or they managed materials for plastering.

Rising damp can't be stopped by plastering.
It's difficult to really get rid of it in as much it wasn't taken care of from the foundation.

I had a dream that Nigeria was divided and it was so real, frankly speaking one Nigeria is not working, we have tried to love each other, we've tried to remain united but each time we try the northeners are always against it, since we have tried this method for deacades and it isn't working then division is the best option.
Imagine a country with over 300 tribes, a country that one part of it's region opresses the other, a country where there's isn't love you expect that country to be one and grow? NO!!!

A wrong foundation has been laid already by the colonies and the only way to correct it is through division, the northerners feel they love themselves so much and they also feel they are entitled to everything in this nation therefore it's better they go their way so they can use that entitlement mentality and religious bigotry to rule themselves.
The igobos should also get their own country, I know and I believe they will do absolutely well if they form their own nation bc they are intelligent people. The yorubas too since most of them are divided amongst themselves it's also better they go their way. While we the south will do well and manage our oil well.
This is just the thought have always had and have always wished for, if this forthcoming election is rigged there might be war and it will cause the division cause we already know who the winner is ,have had this dreams severally. If it's not rigged and the man that the youths wants emerges he will rule and after his tenure this division will still happen, WHY? Bc ONENESS isn't WORKING!! This is my thoughts and wishes don't know about you!!!

Here is my thought and subjective opinion.

The quest for self defense occasioned by terrorist herdsmen gave rise to and sympathy for the so called unknown gunmen.
If we had a listening government that wasn't sympathetic to those terrorist but pursued peace, security , equity and justice, none of this would have happened in the first place.

There's nothing beautiful and peaceful about any state in Nigeria.
Corruption will finish this country if care is not taken, it's just a matter of time.
