I had an idea once, drew a sketch, sent it to a welder.. he said oga dem no dey build that kind here.. even my uncle that declared himself an engineer ( he was just supervising the work, I had a real engineer on site). Both said em em , my son.. they don't do that kind here

There are lots of approaches to designing openable burglar proofs.
They could be in form of sliding, roller shutter and so on.
This is an innovation we have to inculcate in Nigeria.

Nice o. The only differerence is that I did not have a Visitors toilet upstairs. But I do have a large livingroom upstairs not intended for visitors but family room only.

I do not dispute sir but most houses tend to waste when the owners ain't there anymore (gone to the beyond).
And such structures will not glorify nature anymore.
We have a lot of them here in Sango at Ibadan, they've been lacking maintenance since the owners aren't there no more.

I will suggest brevity in our residential designs, this class of structure wastes the most.

Hello experienced minds and fellows in the house. I recently acquired a small piece of land with survey putting the dimensions at 13.01m x 18.70m which I believe translates to 42ft by 61ft. My question is, what is the best design that can be accommodated on this land with parking space for 2 cars? I am looking at a 2 masters bed room with kitchen base floor and 3 bed room first floor.. Is this achievable? If No, what's the best design to fit into this.

Is it possible to convert an existing twin 2 bedroom flat to 4 Nos. 2 bedroom duplex? The intention is to convert the existing structures to have 4 sitting and dining rooms plus 4 kitchens, and then have 2 bedrooms per flat upstairs for each flat.

I disagree with this definition. At least from an American perspective. A walk in closet has nothing to do with a toilet.

No. it is, we don't really separate toilet from bathroom over here, Baths are always attached with toilets, therefore, they go along with each other.
Our definitions and interpretation too could be slightly different.

Noted, but you still have to share the picture of the survey plan. The shape of a land is highly required in designing.

It is very important for an architect to ask for client brief before designing, even if the client ask him to design 3 bedroom for him, he should ask for brief. We should know the difference between an Architect and draftman

Sure, though there is room for debriefing. Non the less, the architect must please the client.
