An eight-month-old Chinese boy is lucky to be alive after he was stabbed over 80 times by his mother,mostly in the face, for biting her while he was being breastfed.

The infant, who lives with his mother and two uncles, was found lying in a pool of blood in the yard of their home by one of his uncles who makes a living through recycling rubbish and rushed him to a hospital. He needed more than 100 stitches after the incident in Xuzhou, eastern Jiangsu Province of China.
The child’s mother later confessed that she stabbed the baby after he bit her while breastfeeding him.
Neighbours have pleaded with the local government to take the child away, but their appeals were rejected. Obviously, they said that there was no confirmation the mother was suffering from a mental illness and said, regardless, the baby still has two guardians in the form of his two uncles.
According to analysis of mental health issues in five Chinese provinces, published in 2010 in the British medical journal "The Lancet", it is estimated that over 91 per cent of the 173million Chinese adults that were believed to suffer mental problems never received any form of professional help.
Mental illness remains a relatively closed topic in modern China, and neither medication nor modern psychiatric treatment is widely used.

An Indian Employer, named "Jay Keswani" has found himself on the wrong side of the law after he reportedly injured a female staff of his company "Miss Faith Nwaneri" and refused to honour an invitation from the police afterwards.
According to the brother of the complainant, who posted about this ugly incident on Facebook, he explained the whole story, as it happened below;
"I write you about the case of my immediate junior sister . She works as personal assistance to an Indian man's wife. This Indians lives @Flat B4-18,19 Benevista tower, Banana Island. He owns Ethylene Industrial company @ Isolo industrial estate, close to the popular Aswani market, his name is Mr. Jay Keswani, he is one of the Aswani brothers.
My sister, Miss Faith Nwaneri, works with the wife as a PA. She works Friday to Wednesday and has her off days on Thursdays. At Banana island, they usually go in there with a gate pass, which he's supposed to get for my sister, but he didn't, rather he gave the receipt of his own monthly dues which covers only him and his family.
For 8months, My sister has been pleading her way into the island, until that fateful Friday morning of 12th of august 2016, as she was coming back from her off day, the security personnel refused her entry, demanding she should provide her gate pass. At that point she was delayed @ the gate.
When she finally came, the wife of the Indian man asked her why she is late, and she told her it was the gate pass issue that caused her delay. The woman got angry and went in to quarrel with the husband. Then the Indian man called my sister and demand that she shld return the form she was to fill and submit for the gate pass. As usual my sister said if he collects it, he normally tears it and sacks the person, so my sister @ that point thought of saving her job, so she told him that she already submitted it, and that she is just waiting for him to give her the money for the processing. But wen he insisted that he would follow my sister to the gate to collect the form @ all cost, my sister seeing the anger in him quickly tell him that as a matter of fact that she is still with the form, and was only waiting for him to give her the money so she could submit both the form and the money for the processing of the gate pass. There he got furious and said" you lied to me?". Then he hit her with his briefcase, and my sister fainted. So at first, he thought it was a joke, then he hit her with his leg to confirm if she was just pretending, But when he pulled her over and notice pool of blood, he quickly called his wife and they started pouring water on her head to revive her. So at last they revived her and left her at their apartment at 19th floor, and they left for office. After my sister regained consciousness, she struggled through the back staircase to the basement, where a good Samaritan, helped her to Falomo police station, from there she was referred to Falomo police hospital, for treatment. There, my sister called me to come over and I paid the bills, then took her home.
When I contacted Mr. Jay Keswani, to find out what would make an elderly man like him hit a lady young enough to be his daughter and got her injured, he (Mr. Keswani ) claimed its an accident.

The Falomo police tried to invite him, but where refused entering even to serve him with the invitation letter. The security men at tower claimed they were acting on instructions not to collect the invitation letter from the police man who came to deliver the letter. The security men there at Benefista tower also told us that they will do every to silent the case, as they claim its their responsibility to protect their clients as assigned.
Ever since then, Mr. Jay Keswani ("who most told my sister that Nigerians has no future without the Indians who came into the country to invest, and that he whatever he does to any Nigerian, he will never apologize" has been walking freely with no action taken against him.
All efforts to reach him to resolve this matter by our lawyer proved abortive, as he has bluntly refused to comply. Any my lawyer is working on getting his arrested. And if he is ready negotiate out of court, no problem, then he should pay the damages nd compensation as earlier demanded by my lawyer or put up a better negotiation.
My question is what will prompt Mr. Keswani to have such heart to hit a woman like that and claim it was an accident? If she had died in his apartment, perhaps Mr. Keswani would have cover up this case, and have my sister thrown into the lagoon. Our lawyer wrote him to reach a compromise for settlement and payment of compensation within seven days which ended yesterday, but up till now there's no response from him. It's shows that this man has no regards for rule of law and the Nigerian citizen.
All i needed is for friends to make publicity through their Facebook pages, so that justice will not be swept under the carpet.

The Deceased was commited to mother earth at his compound in Ezigbo village, Orsumoghu in Ihiala LGA of Anambra State on Thursday August 18th and his outing service was held the following day in his hometown.

The soccer crazy South American nation of Brazil, finally claimed their first ever Gold medal at The Soccer event of the Olympics in grand style, beating their arch rivals, Germany right inside the Maracana, in front of their Home fans.


The pulsating encounter, which saw the Brazilians take the lead, courtesy of a well curled Neymar freekick 27 mins into the game. The German team leveled scores, nine minutes after the break through Max Meyers effort in the 59th minute.

The game ended 1-1 apiece, and had to stretch into extra time, which also ended in a stalemate. Finally a winner had to be decided via penalty shootout. Brazilian Goalkeeper "Weverton" saved Nil Petersen's spot kick, giving Neymar the opportunity to take the decisive kick, and he did in grand style, sending Timo Horn in goal for Germany the wrong way, and giving BRAZIL her first ever Gold medal in Olympics football history, the only major senior football tournament which the SAMBA boys had failed to win in previous attempts after playing in the finals 3 times. HISTORY has been made today.

The Largest aircraft in the world, Airlander 10 took to the sky for it's maiden flight ever, which lasted for an Hour and half, at Cardington Airfield, in Berfordshire England. The Airlander is a giant airship, which measures 302 feets in length, 15m longer than the biggest passenger jets.


BRIEF HISTORY OF THE AIRLANDER

According to the brochure, the eight-story-tall airship is of a line called the Airlander 10. This specific craft was christened the Martha Gwyn, named after the wife of Philip Gwyn, chairman of the airship manufacturing company Hybrid Air Vehicle. But, when viewed from the front, the twin helium-filled lobes bear more than a passing resemblance to a derriere. And so it has come to pass that the Brits, who sadly failed to name a $300 million oceanic research vessel Boaty McBoatface, have also dubbed the world's largest aircraft the "flying bum."

Spectator Donna Seymour called the nickname "quite appropriate," as she told the Belfast Telegraph. Such a moniker did not temper her enthusiasm. "It was beautiful," she said. "It's just so unusual."

Despite its gluteal countenance, the $40 million Airlander 10 is an impressive bit of aeronautical engineering. The Airlander is designed to incorporate the best parts of an airplane, a helicopter and a dirigible into one machine.

It uses less fuel than a cargo plane and does not require much space to lift off. "Think of a big helicopter, a really giant helicopter," said Hybrid Air Vehicle chief executive Stephen McGlennan to Sky News. The company envisions aerial safaris and other passenger flights aboard the Airlander, it told Live Science. Or Airlanders could be patrol ships, search and rescue vehicles, or giant, floating Wi-Fi hotspots.

"This can do the same thing that a helicopter can do - that's to say, provide air transportation for people and goods without the need for a runway," McGlennan said. "But this thing can take more over longer distances, it's cheaper and it's greener."

Hybrid Air Vehicle says that the airship can stay in the air for five days at a go, if filled with people. Unmanned, it can remain airborne for three times as long. Such long flights are the legacy of dirigibles, which include both zeppelins (rigid and filled with lighter-than-air gas) and blimps (also filled with gas but are, well, limp).

With plane-like wings and rotatable engines, the Airlander can overcome a problem that many blimps face: how to land. To lift heavy cargo loads, blimps need to be buoyant. But make them too buoyant and they will not touch the ground when you want them to. (A less practical dirigible solution is to simply never have them land, which is supposedly why the Empire State Building has a spire designed as a zeppelin tethering point.)

The chimeric design was created by Hybrid Air Vehicle with the help of Northrop Grumman. In fact, the Airlander 10 is a later incarnation of what was once known as the Long Endurance Multi-Intelligence Vehicle, a spy aircraft developed by the United States military in 2013. The program was scrapped, however, before the LEMV made it to Afghanistan.

Though the Airlander 10 is a technological achievement, that does not necessarily translate to economic success. "Airships and hybrids have still got a credibility gap to cover," Chris Pocock, defense editor of aviation magazine AIN, told the Associated Press.

"The most important remaining barrier to a cargo airship industry is the lack of business confidence," Barry Prentice, a business professor at the University of Manitoba, argued in a 2014 paper, as The Washington Post previously reported.

Still, airships have struggled to make good on revolutionary promises, the earliest of which date back to 1785, when two inventors crossed the English Channel in a hydrogen balloon. Over the following century and a half, airship designs slowly improved. Just prior to World War II, luxury travel by zeppelin had become something of a fledgling industry. But when the Hindenburg erupted in flames in 1937, killing 36, the era of airships came to an sudden halt.

Unlike the hydrogen that filled the Hindenburg, the Airlander 10 is filled with helium, which will not catch on fire. One of the biggest issues with the nonflammable gas is a limited supply, though recent discoveries of new helium pockets have deflated dire warnings. With its massive balloons inflated, the Airlander can lift 22,050 pounds of cargo up to 16,000 feet. Do not expect the flying bum to break any speed records, however. The ship maxes out at 90 mph, a fraction of the 650-mph cruising speed of a Boeing 747.

The Airlander would not have achieved liftoff without support from an eclectic mix of sources, including a $320,000 investment from Bruce Dickinson, the lead singer of Iron Maiden who is also a pilot.

"Being a rock person, I could put it up my nose, or buy a million Rolls Royces and drive them into swimming pools, or I could do something useful," Dickinson told the Guardian. "There are very few times in your life when you're going to be part of something big."
The Airlander 10 could give way to something even bigger. Should the Airlander 10 prove profitable, a flying bum of Kardashian proportions is on the horizon - the Airlander 50. Set to launch in the in 2020s, the Airlander 50 would hold five times more cargo than the airship that hovered over Bedfordshire Wednesday.
