Family › Re: Ways To Deal With An Introverted Wife by Unluvable(f): 2:54pm On Jul 14, 2017 |
I beg to differ, extroversion is an enormously appealing personality style, but people have turned it into an oppressive standard to which most of us feel we must conform. The divide between extroverted and introverts can be bridged when we start respect ingredients one another differences. HouseOfWine: First of all, introverts always think they are this special kind/breed of human beings
He who lives alone will die alone
Good U were born to do things by yourself but U have to realise at the end of the day U need to relate with other ppl and do things with them u dont really like, thats what being a superior intellectual being is: the ability to adapt to every environ and situation using your intellect
Dull yourself there that you are an introvert hence you dont have the energy to mingle or accept ppl into your life..
No be only U get wahala!!! Even Extros get their own sheets and they dont even advertise it the way intro does...
Its almost as if we should pity them or is it glorify them¿ |

gunpoint: Seriously though I wanted to become an astronut, the stars, planetry systems, alien civiliazations and space have always facinated me(by the way I do believe we are not alone in the universe). So I went and read engineering as a precusor to going to space. Now I go to VI everyday to my banking job(which is kinda like space considering the huge void it creates in my life). So until the astronut thing works out(and I'm now 31 by the way incase you hear of space faring vacancies), thank God for women! |

Also you dont have to experience what others have gone through to learn rather you learn from their daily experiences via stories, friends, news, family, immediate and extended enviroment etc observe so as to make informed decisions and avoid their mistakes. Touche!...same view, that phrase should'nt be considered as a maxim |

dabriggs: There is the story of the boy who defied the elders and killed and ate a vulture. The elders knew nothing would happen to him, but in order to keep the tradition and beliefs which tells people that eating a vulture will lead to death, they conived and poisoned him. While he was writhing in pain and holding his stomach he told them that he did not eat the vulture but a chicken. He simply hid the caught vulture in his house and replaced it with a chicken. The elders did not know this. He died eventually not because of any gods anywhere who punish people with death if they eat a vulture, but by elders who were afraid they might loose their respect as people no longer fear the gods and invariably no longer fear them. They knew all along that their "eat a vulture and die" story was bullshit. Damn! Fear is needed for control. I wonder when our people will be totally emancipated. |

dabriggs: While he may seem brave,he needs to be very careful. People may try to kill him just to make his death look supernatural or strange.
I do not support attacking other peoples faith like this. As long as they have not broken the law they need not be attacked. And even if they did, this is uncalled for unless in self defence. Even self defence has its limits too. This is exactly the conversation I was having with a colleague, some people are custodians of traditions and perpetuate harm to people feigning it to be supernatural |

Beliefs are based on faith not facts...it cannot be proof logically.
Knowing that if you tear your skin with a blade, bleeding will occur is an observable fact, on the other hand, believing that you won't bleed is faith.
You'll never understand faith bro, you can choose to abide to a particular faith if it makes your existence more meaningful and ignore the illogicalities that comes with it.
that being said, I highly doubt some Hebrew characters 6000 years ago has anything to do with my ancestral lineage |

The funny thing is while you guys are here sharing opinions, life is happening on the outside. All the working comfortable guys I know are either toasting, dating or married to women who are also comfortable in terms of cash flow. Recently, a girl was lamenting of how she missed an opportunity to date a cool guy she met because of her social status (he's very comfortable and resides on the island while she earns average income and resides on the mainland), the dude also want a big chic so they build a dynasty..hehehe After all said and done, ladies please do what pleases you and makes you happy, if it's being president of world bank, then go for it! In the world of about 7 billion people, you'll find your niche. You don't need 99.9% of the world population of men attracted to you, you just need one man loving you and your sucess. Also, build character along with career, because that's what makes one successful as a human being. I can't be bothered if 'Nigerian men' don't like 'successful' women because I don't like anybody, be it man or woman who doesn't like success |

the weirdest part of this observation is that the same women complain about how men are totally messed up!
one will think that after such 'informed knowledge' the wise thing to do will be either - to avoid marrying men hence avoiding a messy life or go ahead, marry and shut up about the apprehended woes. |
