Today's my Birthday.....so I'm going to celebrate it here by sharing some pictures that got me thinking..... I found them online. They are independent shots but send a strong message for humanity to unite and be strong and reject violent conflict!! Adversaries will come but forged relationships will always triumph. Violence destroys more than it ever builds. In the end, we are all HUMANS. 1 Like 1 Share |

snakie86: You don't seem to get the POINT!!!! They should send a mail,,,,whether its a success mail or a regret mail, it doesn't matter! Just let people know their fate. A reasonable company doesn't just leave people hanging. MTs still have an interview left, I might say, for lack of any other reasonable explanation, that they might want to postpone that till after the election; but abeg, what of GS oh... Has the price of sending a mail increased in the market? or will election violence affect the server 7 Likes |

Romance / Should I Just Tell Her To Stop Calling??? by unofficial(m): 8:50pm On Jan 08, 2015 |
So I'm sitting in front of my reading table, pissed!!! She's called me 6times and sent 2messages in the space of an hour. Maybe I'm just overwhelmed with the attention, or maybe not......and to think that I actually really once liked the girl. 12December or so, I went to a supermarket to get somethings,,,had to take a taxi. On my way back, there was a little bit of traffic, so I could take a peek at the peeps in the taxis before waving any to stop (didn't want to sit beside any fugly lass nor did I want to sit beside any old person)......then there she was, the perfect seatmate. I waved the taxi and shouted my destination,,,,,luckily for me, he was heading there too. After a while, she started laughing really awkwardly, and in the process of asking her what was funny, a conversation was struck.......topic drifted from that to 'where do you work', 'what are you doing now', blah blah,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,paid her Tfare, because she was beautiful (twas just 50box though). Asked for her number as she was about highlighting and she obliged. I liked her, didn't want to seem desperate, so I decided to apply the 3day rule.........so many things happend during that period and I forgot to call her. Fast-forward 3weeks, on the 1st of January, I was going through my contacts and I saw her number....the initial euphoria of meeting her was gone, but just decided to call her to wish her 'a happy new year'. When she picked up and knew I was the one,,,,she was angry, saying I should have called earlier..... ''''OMG, Just got another text,,,,,,,,,,,,that makes it 3messages this night.''''' Back to the story. She's been going haywire since then,,,,,my phone never stops ringing........she calls 3times in an hour on the average, and we speak for like 5mins,,,,,,so its like I spend the whole day talking....to make matter worse, she just asks silly things.......... I'm really pissed off. I think I'm a nice guy, so it will be really off to ask her not to call me again.....or should I?? I slept 11pm yesterday night, by the time I woke up,,,,my battery was already flat, seemed weird ..switched on the gen to boost the battery. When the phone came on, I saw 23missed calls!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!! Edited* |

Paris Policeman Shot In Head As He Pleads For Life Footage of France's deadliest terror attack for 40 years shows one of the gunmen shoot a policeman in the head at point-blank range. Three black-clad, heavily-armed men are seen walking from their vehicle near Place de la Bastille in Paris, before a number of shots are fired. The camera pans to the right to show a police officer lying on the pavement before rolling over to face his approaching attackers. He is seen raising his hand, apparently pleading for his life. According to Le Parisien, the officer was heard in one video clip to say: "Voulez-vous me tuer? (Do you want to kill me?)". The gunman responded: "C'est bon chef." One of the two men quickens pace as he reaches the injured officer and, without pausing, shoots him in the head. In another video shot following the attack on French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo's offices, gunshots ring out and onlookers run for cover on a rooftop just yards from the scene. The pair of suspected terrorists are seen below opening fire. As some on the rooftop run for cover, panicked voices are heard urging others to "get down". "Did you see that?" a voice can be heard asking the person filming the scene. More shots are fired before a witness on the rooftop tells another to "budge up". The gunshots stop and the men are seen calmly returning to their black Citroen hatchback. One of them picks up a shoe that had fallen out of the car and they drive off slowly. Witness Benoit Bringer told French TV channel iTELE: "About a half an hour ago two black-hooded men entered the building with Kalashnikovs (rifles). "A few minutes later we heard lots of shots." One witness, who declined to give his name, described the attack as like "a movie". "I saw them leaving and shooting. They were wearing masks. These guys were serious," he said. "At first I thought it was special forces chasing drug traffickers or something." Ten journalists and two police were killed in the terror attack - the bloodiest in France for at least four decades. The gunmen opened fire after bursting into the offices of Charlie Hebdo, which had long outraged Muslims with cartoons of the prophet Mohammed. Police said witnesses heard the attackers shout "we have avenged the prophet" and "Allahu akbar" (God is greatest). http://news.sky.com/story/1403745/paris-policeman-shot-in-head-as-he-pleads-for-life https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-FFx7Xy0Uo

Politics / Yes! Buhari’s Certificates With Us- Army Confirms by unofficial(m): 1:24pm On Jan 04, 2015 |
The authorities of the Nigerian Army have said the service will readily release credentials and certificates in its custody to serving and retired officers in need of them. The Director, Amy Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Olajide Laleye, said in an exclusive interview with our correspondent in Abuja on Wednesday. He said the procedure for the retrieval or collection of the certificates was known to all serving or retired officers of the military. The Army spokesman was reacting to a declaration by the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj.Gen Muhammadu Buhari (retd), that his credentials were with the military. Our correspondent asked Laleye if it was true that the military was keeping the General’s certificates. Buhari had said in an affidavit he deposed to at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory on November 24, 2014 and received by Independent National Electoral Commission on December 18, 2014, that all his certificates were with the Secretary, Military Board. “I am the above-named person and deponent to this affidavit therein. “All my academic qualifications, documents as filled in my presidential form, President APC/001/2015, are currently with the Secretary, Military Board as of the time of presenting this affidavit. The affidavit is made in good faith and for record purpose,” Buhari stated. But Laleye stated that the Army would not refuse any officer whose certificates were in its custody from getting them if the existing procedure was followed. He said the Army could not have deprived anybody access to his credentials since the credentials did not belong to the service. He said, “Every serving and retired Army officer has at least a copy of his certificates and credentials kept in the Nigerian Army while that same serving and retired officer has copies of those same certificates and credentials. “And there is a laid-down procedure to request for certificates. It is known to any serving and retired officer. “If you want anything checked in your file, you simply follow the due process and it would be given to you because the credentials belong to you.” “The Nigerian Army does not refuse to give anybody his credentials if the due process is followed. Now, take note of this. Not only does the Nigerian Army keep these things, the individual officers, whether serving or retired, have copies.” www.osundefender.org/?p=203536&cpage=1 www.punchng.com/news/buharis-certificates-with-us-says-army/ |
