If we go into any conventional battle like this with mig21 and alpha jets and that useless outdated Soviet T72, we would all become refugees in hours.
It's not by mounting 30000mm gun on all our Toyota hilux |

iblawi: Dummy, Egypt is a major player in the middle east. They keep buying equipments because of the neighbors they have. Egypt is surrounded by Isreal, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and others and for them to be relevant they just have to buy equipment that can face what others have. Will Ghana, Togo or Cameroon attack Nigeria as we speak? Or will it be Chad, Niger or Mali? You shouldn't be on this thread and if you want to is better you ask questions. Coconut head Thank you for confirming all I have been saying. Regional powers don't wait for its neighbors before it starts arming You just agreed to the fact that we are ordinary. Anglophone country surrounded by francophones and you dont See any threat, this is exactly how our ogas think. This is all you have in you Navy: 3 submarines 4 FRIGATES 4 OPVs (warrior class).
Tell us if you have any other thing in your Navy that can reach Nigeria. And please tell us the number of soldiers you will bring down to Nigeria.
Stop posting made up shirt.
South Africa can't project force.

pacretus: guy ur post speaks volume of ur personality...and i must confess, its as hilarious as it is stupid.someone pointed out a misinformation on a very important weapon by a company and u showed ur ignorance by asking if nigeria produced any. .yes Nigeria doesn't produce so what?how many african countries can produce it? just as oga iblawi said,Nigeria also produces some military hard ware. But seriously common sense should let u know when u insult or speak against your nation you are actually speaking against urself.if u can't help but type rubbish,i'll repeat myself #f u c k off. Nigerian doesn't produce any, then How many are we buying. ? Going by your logic Egypt doesn't but look how tall they are standing. If you don't criticize it means all is well, when Obviously it isnt, you wouldn't know that cos you are one of the retarded specimen here |

Too much excuses and daftness has got us to the point where dicon is manufacturing fishing forks and spoons, The navy is doing minor boat work, which is being done everyday at slaughter bridge here in ph. And some enemy of progress under the cloak of patriots are happy about it
Oh and the airforce is buying only 3 fighter jets, which we are not even sure till we see them in Nigerian colours |

patches689: List missiles that can engage targets at that range
Is very obvious what you are doing
After years of you criticisng the Rooivalk, your Generals have made you look a fool by expressing interest in it.
All the damage control in the world cannot save you now. Stop replying them with logic We can't even field local rockets with that range not to talk of guiding them. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by upko1: 4:40pm On Feb 17, 2016 |
iblawi: So you now feel the Navy should be celebrated cos I show you light. We can equally educate you about airforce and the army by comparing them with other in Sub-Sahara Africa. .Am not saying we are where we are suppose to be but considering the fact that the force was not funded properly for over 20 years and we are still where we are. Even Dicon was not funded during this period. What is this cow saying. You are either there or you are Not! Shut the fork up and pray your military allocations don't end up in a bank account |

patches689: Ok,
Fact is, you still came... your generals have proven you wrong by wanting to buy the Rooivalk Pride and mediocrity has really damaged a lot. What is even bad in a Nigeria wanting to acquire military hardwares from the South Africans. Like the animal up three said we are all incomplete in one way or the other, without even asking himself what measures his own country is putting in place to attain highest level of readiness and operability, some people are just shameless |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by upko1: 4:23pm On Feb 17, 2016 |
If Nigeria were Lesotho I wouldn't be bothered, but for a supposed giant of Africa and we can't even field a proper modern airforce it's disheartening
So blessed but so blind. The only armed force worth celebrating is the navy |

I don't hate you, am only surprised you displayed your stupidity openly.
Idiot OPVs are now fishing boats abi?
We still ask questions even though things are currently hard for us all.
We have posted pics and we have had several discussions here about NAF. If you have any question you are free to ask instead of posting senseless comments.
Fool, tell me how to me more constructive in my discussion? Dummy talking about maturity. Lol Take your OPV to fleet review |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by upko1: 4:03pm On Feb 17, 2016 |
Iblawi Seeing as all your hate filled replies are centered around naval systems, you fail to educate me how some bunch of fishing boats and OPV would protect a country of 160million people from a submarine. Mediocrity is now a part of us that we no longer ask questions, rather we try to defend the indefensible. $2.1bn meant for arms procurement was stolen under your nose and you come here to show the world just how miserable you are. Why not indulge me on the progress made by the NAF. You are not capable of matured and constructive discussion that's why you create diversions by screaming expletives. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by upko1: 3:52pm On Feb 17, 2016 |
iblawi: Idiot you are the biggest full here.
Tell me what Algeria and Egypt produce locally that makes them have a blue water Navy.
Fool tell me a country with 4 frigate and 3 submarines have a full Navy.
Idiot we are all incomplete in one way or the other. Nigerian Navy boast of over 100 vessels Vs South Africa that have less than 20 vessels. Even with 50% of the vessels active we still have more than double of what they have patrolling our water. Your dull brain didn't tell you frigate and submarines will not have anything to do for us at the moment even South Africa now use their frigates for patrol roles that our OPVs and IPVs are currently doing and even stripped off missiles on thier fast attack craft and is been used for patrol as we speak.
As we speak tell any country that is a threat to Nigeria in sub-Sahara Africa? Not even South Africa we boast of such.
NNS Aradu for over 30 years never had any meaningful thing to do for the Navy but several other smaller ships have. Am assuring you that South African meko frigates will get old with same issue. The 4 meko frigate and 3 submarines altogether is less than $2 billion dollars tell me we don't have the money to buy them. The are good assets but not important as we speak.
Big fool, do your even know how many vessels are now being built in Lagos, and port Harcourt yearly?
If you know nothing about the procurement of Nigerian military for the pass 3 year you shouldn't be spitting shiit out. Ignorant fool. Learn how to spell then quote me for a reply. You keep running around like an imbec.ile screaming fool, it's hard to make out what you are trying to say |

Some bunch of fishing boats and ex Coast Guard vessels won't make Nigeria a blue water navy -some bunch of over flogged alpha jet won't make my Nigeria a regional power -some bunch of old rusty Soviet hardwares won't make the Nigerian army a modern era army Don't take out your frustration on me, as I am equally pissed about the state of my country and its military. Henry240: If you had an inch of a brain remotely functional you would probably have seen these,
- the use of UAVs across of 3 services
- the procurement and use UCAV in combat, the 3rd country in the world to do so
- the deployment of ELINT compliant surveillance assets
- the launch and use of satellite technology for surveillance and mapping
- the procurement and installation of a state of the art COBR facility
- the procurement and deployment of a locally designed satellite enabled naval management system
- procurement of advanced MI-35M, MI-17Terminator Helos
- the procurement of Stealth ships
- the local design of a Bomb disposal robot with an onboard jammer
You see the problem is, you don't think. I have no problem with you wanting to remain ignorant..... As long as you don't try drag Nigeria into your stup1dity, i'm fine with that. Certified retarrrd!! All you mentioned up there are sixth grade research projects, for a supposed giant of Africa. The problem is you are a zombie, sorry a village zombie with no exposure . Heck the Egyptians don't need this thread to measure cocks and feel good about themselves cos they know they would glass almost and every sub Saharan country in weeks. That's the kind of military I want for Nigeria |

Patchesagain: What you fail to realise is that we missed at target at a range that most attack helicopters cannot fire their missiles. You no sabi pidgin ni? I'm saying that atleast an African country indigenously manufactured a guided missile which missed it target during test. It is far better than Nigeria whose defence industry is eating millions and churning out pile of outdated mess Yes! I'm a Nigerian, but I condemn mediocrity and hypocrisy |
