HEAVEN'S DIGEST: Truth, Light & Bread Mon, August 17, 2020 Topic: Only With Jesus ✝️ The Spirit's Word: And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father's sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. 1 Samuel 17:34-35 KJV When we read the Old Testament, a lot of secrets are embedded in it. Most of the New Testament written by Paul, Peter, John and James were taken from the Old, with a modification based on the finished work of Christ. The opening Scripture shows young David, Shepherd of His Father's flock. We are the flock of Jesus, who is our Shepherd and Saviour. Imagine those sheep out there in the wild without the Shepherd close by, they would be easy prey for the lions and bears. We are the sheep, and lambs of Christ. John 21:15-17. Most of us have seen documentaries on wild life, and how these animals prey on the weak ones. Can the biggest sheep stand up to a bear, or a lamb bleat a lion off? It's impossible. Lions and bears speak of demons and evil spirits. Psalm 91:13, 1 Peter 5:8, Daniel 7:5, Revelation 13:2, Proverbs 28:15. We can do nothing against these wicked beings if the Lord is not with us. John 15:5. It is very important we abide in Him, so we can bring forth fruits of victory. Romans 8:37. Jesus will only help you when you remain with Him. Most shepherd's and herdsmen will tell you once a sheep or goat strays, it's open season out there. Have you strayed away from the fold? Cry out to Him now, and He will come to your rescue. Again, recall the violence that filled the earth before the flood. The giants, which were offsprings of fallen angels and women, began to destroy man out of their wickedness. It's okay to imagine a little of what must have happened. The giants were strong and men of renown, having the fallen nature of devils. Genesis 6:4-5. Obviously, there was oppression. They saw that they were different from man, and wanted to rule over them. Also, there was no way man could meet up with their daily feeding considering their size. The violence must have meant that they killed and cannibalised man for food. If God hadn't sent that flood, only those giants would remain on earth, and man would be long extinct. God's grace found Noah, and his household. That was what preserved humanity up till date. The devil wants to kill and destroy. Only God's grace keeps him at bay. However, we must understand that grace is Jesus Himself, and we ought to abide in Him to be safe, because He is our ark. We abide in Him by letting His Word find expression in us, and through us. The Word is our source, and so, we are preserved thereby. James 1:18. Reminder: The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. Proverbs 18:10 KJV |

HEAVEN'S DIGEST: Truth, Light & Bread Sun, August 16, 2020 Topic: The Spirit Life ✝️ The Spirit's Word: For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. I Corinthians 2:11 NKJV Before the Lord was crucified, He told His disciples that He had many things to tell them which they were not yet mature to receive. Hence, the promise of the Spirit of Truth who would bring about a revelation and illumination of deeper things. John 16:12-13. The Word and the Holy Spirit is all the believer needs on earth to make good success, prosper, win and overcome in every situation. We can't know this things of God if we are not in sync with the Holy Spirit. It is not enough to have the Word. Your Bible will not profit you without the Holy Spirit. You can't afford to isolate Him, or neglect Him. He takes from Jesus, and shows to us. He came to partner with us in order to glorify Jesus. We are not of the world, hence we acknowledge Him, even though we do not see Him. The world can't receive Him because they are only guided by the five senses. John 14:17. We must be spiritual people with a seeing eye, and a hearing ear. We walk by faith, and not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7. We walk and live by every Word of God. Matthew 4:4. As we are connected to Jesus through salvation, we are one Spirit with Him. 1 Corinthians 6:17. Our spirit isn't independent of God's Spirit. How do we touch the things of the Spirit in order to claim or apprehend all that God has for us? Our minds must be renewed by the Word. Romans 12:2. The mind is the bridge between the spirit realm and the physical. Is your mind subject to the spirit, or to the carnal or natural? The more we read, study and meditate on the Word, we ought to be transformed if we continually practice what we behold in it. If we don't do the Word, there is no transformation. This is where the blessing is. James 1:22-25, Joshua 1:8. Jesus told us His Words are spirit and life. John 6:63. Every change starts in the spirit realm, before we see it happen on earth. Hebrews 11:3. To hear the voice of the spirit, we must be conscious of His abiding presence, talk to Him, listen to Him by having quiet times, engage Him in our daily affairs, and give no place to the devil. Ephesians 4:27. If you are living in sin, Satan would be speaking to you more instead, because sin is his environment, and it gives him an edge. Make your ways right, and appropriate the blood. However, we are the righteousness of God through faith in His Name. We must be a people of faith, and His Word, to maximise all that He has for us. Reminder: God longs to speak to you, and show you great and mighty things. Keep calling on Him, and living the faith life. |

HEAVEN'S DIGEST: Truth, Light & Bread Sat, August 15, 2020 Topic: Honoured By God ✝️ The Spirit's Word: To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord , that he might be glorified. Isaiah 61:3 KJV Honour from men is good, but can't be compared to the one God gives. Everyone desires honour, but the wise seek it from God. We are honoured by God after we have honoured Him. 1 Samuel 2:30. One of the ways Jesus told us we can honour Him is by serving Him. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. John 12:26. When we serve God, we shouldn't look to man for a reward. That's not service but hire. Those who truly serve God have their eyes on the Master as their source. Jesus washed His own disciples feet. That's how far He can go to honour any man that truly honours Him. He did it for Esther, Mordecai, Ruth, and so many others. Our hearts must be one with Him when we go about to please Him in the things He has called us to do. Our giving to the poor, orphan, widow, fatherless, etc., is another way of honouring God. We share in their pain, which is His pain. 1 Timothy 5:3. As we honour Him with our time, finances, gifts, etc., He'll honour us too. The opening Scripture shows us various ways God can honour us. He gives us beauty for ashes. This means you are celebrated by both angels and men. Ashes symbolises nothingness. There is no substance to it. However, beauty attracts every eye. This draws men to you, and Favour comes with it. Psalm 45:12. Think about how so many folks spend so much to look beautiful. It is nothing compared to when God beautifies and decorates the life of who He wants to honour. The oil of joy for mourning is an Anointing that produces gladness and excitement all of your days. No sorrow or down moments. You won't find a reason to be moody, no matter how hard you try. Psalm 45:7. Because it is an Anointing, you would be a solution provider to as many that God brings your way. Finally, a garment of praise for a spirit of heaviness is an empowerment. This attacks and fights off every evil spirit around you. A garment is a cloak or mantle like what the prophets of old used to wear. 2 Kings 2:9-14. Only Spirit can fight off spirits. The Holy Ghost mantles on you, and no devil can stop you, as long as His praise is continually in your mouth. Psalm 34:1. It's all to His glory. Reminder: And the king took off his ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it unto Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman. Esther 8:2 KJV |

HEAVEN'S DIGEST: Truth, Light & Bread Fri, August 14, 2020 Topic: Worker of Deceit ✝️ The Spirit's Word: He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight. Psalms 101:7 KJV It is quite unfortunate how we live in an evil generation, where even believers use the ways of the world to get by. Evil is staring us in the face at every corner. We can't call what is despicable or vile a weakness, neither can we change the nature and will of God. Let's not even look at the fact that grace and mercy is highly abused in our day. I want us to see this from the position of being born again. The Bible tells us that being born again means a new creature. 2 Corinthians 5:17. We are also told we must not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by renewing our mind. Romans 12:2. This is our new reality. Some go about preaching that you don't need to do anything about who you are, but just live by grace. The opening Scripture tells us no worker of deceit or lies will stand in the face of God. We are told to judge ourselves so we won't be judged. 1 Corinthians 11:31. The sad thing about this is that many have vowed not to change. If you really hate the fact you still engage in these ills, at least there's hope for transformation which is only possible by the power of the Holy Ghost. For some others, it doesn't cross their minds. They are persistently enshrined in deceit, and so they try to mock God, and His grace. It's tomfoolery. Let's look at it as humans beings. I know for a certainty that there is no one who wants to be lied to. Neither is there anyone who'd trust a liar or worker of deceit. Yet, some continue to do unto others what they would never want to be done to them. Jesus came with grace and truth, not grace alone. Grace is not a substitute for truth. John 1:14. All liars are destined for hell. Revelations 21:8. We can't live a life of guile and craftiness, and still bow the knee to the Lord. He frustrates the tokens of liars, and turns '' wise men'' backwards. That means a journey to hell. Isaiah 44:25. He also disappoints the devices of the crafty, and traps them. Job 5:12. Don't let the Lord set you up for destruction. You may not be an upfront liar and worker of deceit, but search your heart. Are you always trying to be wiser in your eyes? There is no small lie, or white lie. It's called evil counsel, which is against the Lord. Stop that manipulation of facts and figures at your place of work. Desist from crafty schemes against friends, family, and acquaintances. When you want to always be ahead of others, and you don't mind going against the truth of God's Word, you are really in bondage. John 8:32, 44. Reminder: A liar is a messenger of Satan, because He is the father of lies. Decide to live a life of truth. It starts from a change of mind. |

HEAVEN'S DIGEST: Truth, Light & Bread Thu, August 13, 2020 Topic: Renewed Priesthood ✝️ The Spirit's Word: Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:5 KJV The new testament priest is different from that of the old covenant. We have a High Priest in the person of Jesus. He entered into the Holy of Holies in heaven with His blood and purged sins forever, and is now seated at the right hand of Majesty. Hebrews 8:1. Jesus has fulfilled every carnal ordinance. Those things done in the old covenant were only a shadow of the heavenly reality. Colossians 2:17, Hebrews 10:1. The renewed priesthood entails offering up to God spiritual sacrifices, not physical or carnal ordinance. We are built up into a spiritual house. What are these sacrifices? Romans 12:1 gives us one of them: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Our earthly bodies are the present temple of God. We must live consecrated lives, totally dedicated to the service of God. The blood of Jesus is available to cleanse us as we walk in the light, which is His Word. 1 John 1:7 John 1:1-4. A priest is a symbol of holiness. Exodus 28:36. Jesus offered up His body and blood as a sweet smelling sacrifice to God. This implies we must walk in love. Ephesians 5:2. He gave us the communion. Recall the priest and his household would eat the animal sacrifice in the covenant of old. It was termed holy. As we partake of the holy communion, we partake of His life. John 6:53-56. Our worship is a spiritual sacrifice. It is called the fruit of our lips and the sacrifice of praise. Hebrews 13:15. We must do this continually. This is why joy is a big deal in the kingdom. God lives inside of us, and He dwells in an atmosphere of praise. Psalm 22:3. Hebrews 13:16 tells us our giving to the poor and needy is also a sacrifice well pleasing to God. We must stand up for the oppressed around us. Don't take this lightly, because God's heart is endeared towards the poor. Finally, our prayers and intercessions for all men is one of the most important. A priest's responsibility is to stand in the gap between men and God. We do this by our intercessions. Praying in the spirit is the effective way to go about this, because we don't know what to pray for as we ought. 1 Timothy 2:1-3, Ephesians 6:18, Romans 8:26-27. The altar of incense in the old tabernacle is symbolic of the prayers of the saints. Revelation 8:4. Reminder: Every priest should hear the voice of God. Numbers 7:89. |

HEAVEN'S DIGEST: Truth, Light & Bread Mon, August 12, 2020 Topic: Pour Forth New Songs The Spirit's Word: O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord , all the earth. Sing unto the Lord , bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day. Psalms 96:1-2 KJV God wants us to sing new songs to Him every time we can. When we worship God, there is a creative side we can always dive into because the Holy Ghost is being stirred up. 2 Timothy 1:6. We are sons of God, having the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:16. This means worshipping God must not be mundane or stale. That's why we are told to sing in the Spirit. 1 Corinthians 14:15. You can't imagine the manifold blessing that comes with this simple, yet powerful instruction. If you would let go and turn to the spirit in your praise and worship, new songs are always given to you. I experience it every time with a fresh release of spiritual energy and refreshing. When you do this consistently, you would even feel the Anointing all over your body, and I don't mean goosebumps. Any emotional high can bring goosebumps and pricks all over you but the Anointing is different, and you would know it. When your body begins to feel like electricity, or being dipped into water, or pulses running all over you, etc.,that's what I'm talking about. It happens because God lives in you. You may not feel it all the time but you'd know it. We walk by faith, and not by sight. 1 Corinthians 5:7. Why is this important? You allow the Holy Spirit do a thorough and quickening work in you. You also get new songs that can bless the lives of other believers. Some of the songs which are sung in tongues, eventually inspire sentences in your understanding which can bless many. This is highly Prophetic as you get edified along with your hearers. Tongues and interpretation brings about comfort and edification. 1 Corinthians 14:26-29. We also minister to the Lord in a higher way because we are priests. Revelation 5:10, Acts 13:2. If we are all priests, then are we all levites and singers. Some are called to this as a ministry (of helps). 1 Corinthians 12:28. We must take up our roles in ministering to God as our sacrifice to Him. And we must believe that the Holy Spirit, who is the Helper, is ready to make the best of our experiences in worship. King David wrote and co-wrote 150 psalms, being an old Covenant believer. I believe it could have been more, how much more a new testament believer. If we would trust God, our worship would be the most colourful. Songs are a fundamental aspect of God, which is joy. ✝️ Reminder: Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Ephesians 5:19 KJV |
HEAVEN'S DIGEST: Truth, Light & Bread Mon, August 11, 2020 Topic: Wholeness The Spirit's Word: And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy. And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise and make thy bed. And he arose immediately. Acts 9:33-34 KJV I have met Christians with ailments who told me God cannot do all things, like heal them. They believe He heals, at the same time believe their ailment is beyond His power. I have also met some who believe God wants them that way, but have provided a routine observance of things to do or avoid to keep them temporarily fit. I have also met people who believe God wants to heal them, but do not know how to receive their healing. God can do all things, and you are just one human being in His sight. Don't even begin to contemplate such ideas that your problems are what the doctors say they are - incurable, terminal, etc. As a believer, we live in the realm of the supernatural. We are a people of faith. Hebrews 10:38. Healing is received when we get the Word into our heart, and agree with it. There must be an agreement in our heart, mind, and body. Jesus took all our sicknesses and infirmities. Matthew 8:17, 1 Peter 2:24. For this reason He went to hell and rose again. He took our sickness to hell, and left it there. Don't receive it back from Satan. This means we believe and acknowledge it by meditating on it as often as we can; we make it part of our consciousness as we confess positively always, not just because your pastor said you should keep saying, but because it has become as real to you. We also conform our bodies and behaviour to what we believe and confess. Sometimes, we must use violence. Matthew 11:12. It may not respond as quickly as we would want it. This doesn't mean we give up. Most things in life are gotten by perseverance. Let the weak say I am strong. Joel 3:10. Don't affirm the situation by behaving the way a sick person would behave. Faith won't kill you, even though it might look like you would die. Far from it, there is a threshold your faith level will attain that a reversal of the death cycle begins, and you must continue in faith. The Word of God is our life source, because the Word is God Himself. John 1:1-4.✝️ Reminder: My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Proverbs 4:20-22 KJV |

HEAVEN'S DIGEST: Truth, Light & Bread Mon, August 10, 2020 Topic: Spend More Time With God Insta: @tlb_ministries The Spirit's Word: And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. Luke 6:12 KJV It doesn't matter how close you are to God, there is always room for more. As we minister to the Lord in prayers, intercessions, fasting, worship, meditation and studying the Word, He will always let us know there is a deeper and higher place we still have not gotten to. In His days, Jesus would spend some nights praying without even sleeping. With God, there is no limit to what we stand to receive. It may sound outrageous to be all out like this, but God gives more grace to whoever is willing. Our bodies can be subjected to things we never imagined, because the spirit is master over the flesh. There is so much to do while ministering to the Lord. He deserves our time and energy. Mary chose the better part over Martha just because she listened at Jesus' feet, while Martha was busy with service. Luke 10:41-42. Tarrying in His presence is the same as being in the Spirit. When we have quiet times, void of noise and carnal distractions, our spirit is attuned to God. We must give God time. The more of our time we give to Him, the more of Him we see manifest in our lives. It's as simple as that. The Lord told me recently, He is about to pour out His Spirit in a dimension we have never seen, and that it would '' rain'' in every place. However, only those who have paid the price and are in real expectation of this Glory would receive the fullness of it. This is why it is important to lay aside everything that is not profitable to the will of God in this season. The enemy has been having his fill, but we all know God shows up when the enemy's cup is full. We have to be ready, fully prepared for what is coming. Be encouraged. Notwithstanding, His grace and mercy hasn't changed. It is still an act of His amazing grace God does what He does. Let us not be weary in waiting and watching for His manifest glory that is about to be revealed. This is a season where intercession for all men must not be taken likely. We must intercede so that the enemy doesn't get the better of some, before the Lord finally reveals what He is about to do. If you still struggle with one sin or another, there is no better time to lay aside such weight and fully turn to God. ✝️ Reminder: I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 1 Timothy 2:1 KJV |

And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time? Matthew 8:28-29 KJV Demons are evil spirits. I don't believe knowing their origin matters to the Christian. What matters is that we know they are the cause of most problems humans face, and the believer has been given authority to cast them out. They were always afraid of the Lord, and his anointed servants because they fear being tormented. Demons either possess people or attach themselves to people to influence negatively. They are just carrying out the mission of their master, who is Satan. They cause people to sin, and they hope to destroy whoever they have a hold on. We must not yield to their suggestion because the believer is far above them. If you don't know, any believer can cast out demons. Mark 16:17. Knowledge and faith is what you need for them to obey you. There are issues of the flesh associated with demons. Galatians 5:19. The more you yield to the flesh or carnal nature, the more you are likely going to have a demon attached to you, even though you are a believer. The believer is far above the elements and cohorts of darkness. You only dwell there when you give them room. They can't ascend to where Christ is, where we are seated with Him. Ephesians 2:6. When you yield to the flesh, you pay them a visit and they can afflict you in their territory. We were not designed to leave our seated position of rest and authority. You can't beat the enemy in his territory. Thank God for His grace and mercy. We are always restored when we return. Don't let demons have a filled day by yielding to their desires. Jesus told us they wander in dry places seeking rest. Matthew 12:43. That's tormenting enough for them. Don't let them find that rest in your temple which belongs to God. We must also know they never give up. They have been on earth since only God knows when. This calls for perseverance and steadfastness from the saints of God. The devil goes about like a roaring lion. He is not ubiquitous. His network of demons give him classified information about his target. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein. Hebrews 13:9 KJV And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. 1 Corinthians 15:10 KJV I believe every believer knows that no man is justified by works. We can't and will never be able to boast before God by our works. It doesn't matter what we accomplish for the kingdom, it must be by grace. 1 Corinthians 1:29, Ephesians 2:9. The second opening scripture was Jesus' Word to Paul. We must be established with His grace only. Works are only a proof we love Him. John 14:15, 23. Issues like unforgivenness, bitterness, and resentment can cut short or make His grace seem far from us. We cannot give the enemy a foothold by holding a grudge against someone who Christ also died for. This is how we are established with grace; by disallowing any connection or network to the enemy. His grace is what qualifies us to do the things He has commanded us. Even when you don't do anything for the Lord, His grace will still get you to heaven. However, grace is not a license to sin because sin makes you its servant. And this can only lead to corruption and an eventual death. Romans 6:16, 23. And she called the name of the Lord that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me? Wherefore the well was called Beer–lahai–roi; behold, it is between Kadesh and Bered. Genesis 16:7, 13-14 KJV And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink. Genesis 21:19 KJV The above verses are related to Hagar, Abraham's concubine when she fled from Sarah's harsh treatment. Fountains and wells refer to source of life. Jesus refers to salvation as a well within us springing up into eternal life. John 4:14. As believers, how do we draw from the wells within us. It is not surprising that God uses the term wells and fountain for the first time in the Bible with reference to man, with Hagar. She was a bondwoman, but God is no respecter of persons. Acts 10:34. He did this as a symbolic gesture to the gentiles who would receive eternal life thousands of years later, because the Jews didn't see themselves worthy of it. Acts 13:46. We are saved, but for many the well within isn't springing. Nature teaches us we can have dry wells, and bubbling or springing wells. Isaac's well was called Rehoboth, meaning fruitfulness. Abraham's servants, and Abimelech's strove over wells in his day. The same thing happened with Isaac. The enemy is always on the prowl to snatch this life we have in Christ. Matthew 11:12. Hagar was twice wandering in the wilderness. The wilderness refer to our seasons of testing. Jesus was led into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. Matthew 4:1-11. In Hagar's first wandering experience, there was a fountain but she didn't have anything to do with it. She called the place, '' God sees me''. It was only in the second encounter that God opened her eyes to see the well, which she drew from. Kadesh means holy, while Bered means hail or worship. It is no coincidence that her eyes were opened between the junction of consecration and worship or praise. Recall Prophet Isaiah says: Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. Isaiah 12:3. Also, without holiness no man shall see God. Hebrews 12:14. God's eyes are ever upon us, but what counts in the kingdom is for the Lord to open our eyes. Have you been dry even as a believer? Do you want the well within you to spring up waters and rivers of life that produces all round glory, honour and fruitfulness? Be consecrated to God, and praise Him continually. HEAVEN'S DIGEST: Truth, Light & Bread Thu, August 6, 2020 Topic: Purposeful Blessing. Insta: @tlb_ministries The Spirit's Word: For thou, Lord, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. Psalms 5:12 KJV The Christian is already righteous. We are righteous apart from works, but by faith in Jesus Christ. The sacrifice of Christ made this possible. Romans 5:17. By this truth, we are blessed and also favoured. We are blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Ephesians 1:3. Have you concurred with these truth? Do you behave according to this priceless revelation. It pleased God in Christ to bless us more that we can ask or think. Ephesians 3:20. All that the Lord represents is available to us. We are joint heirs together with Him, who owns the world and all that it contains. Psalm 24:1. The same way Jesus had favour with both God and men, is what He has given to us. Luke 2:52. He grew in these blessings. Also, the favour of God comes with God's protection (shield), because the enemy attacks anything good. The better it is, the more prone it is to Satan's onslaught. He is a thief. Why is this important? Maturity determines what is made available to you per time and season. All things are yours. 1 Corinthians 3:21. But not all things will be made available to you. Responsibility determines what the Father will make to you for that time or season. Being a son of God also comes with responsibility. Have you been faithful in the House of God, or with His work that's committed to your trust? Hebrews 3:5-6. Purpose and the blessings are tied together. We need to understand this as believers. He will always provide for us as we show we are capable of handling them. God is not in anything selfish or greedy. He won't patronise us if we are focused on self and the various lust we nurture - to be seen and esteemed by men. We must seek the honour that comes from God only, just like Jesus did. John 5:44. God hears our hearts louder than our words. We may say many things, but if it doesn't line up with our hearts, it is still a far cry away. This is why we are told to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, so that every other thing we need and desire will be added. Matthew 6:33. Recall that Jesus always gathered the leftover fragments from the miracle of loaves and fishes He multiplied to feed the multitude. God is not a waster, neither can He allow His spiritual resources expended in a carnal or lustful situation. Blessings and favour are from God alone. Psalm 75:6. If we would value heavenly treasures, they will always be made available to us for every good work, like giving. ✡️ Reminder: And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: 2 Corinthians 9:8 KJV |
HEAVEN'S DIGEST: Truth, Light & Bread Wed, August 5, 2020 Topic: Precept Upon Precept Insta: @tlb_ministries The Spirit's Word: Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: Isaiah 28:9-10 KJV We have something interesting here. God is saying He will teach only those who enrol in the feeding program. Those that, having begun with Christ, continue with Him. This is true. If you don't pay attention or incline your ears to the Word of God, He won't be able to teach you accordingly. Babes in Christ are to be weaned. Most times, it is not the fault of babes. Having laid the foundation, we must see that we build appropriately in the lives of new converts. Growth is a priority. God doesn't only desires children, but sons. This is because children are vulnerable, and easily preyed on by the adversary. Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: Galatians 4:3. Only sons rise up to challenges, and know what it takes to speak to the enemy at the gate. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. Psalms 127:4-5. A spiritual youth is full of vigour and has attained tremendous strength to confront all enemy lines. The Holy Spirit is our teacher, and His teaching brings impartation and nourishment to the spirit man. He will never rush you. It has to be one at a time, because you need to also apply the truths He empowers you with as you go. Precept upon precept, line upon line, is a strategic building mechanism in the Spirit. This ensures we are grounded, tested and strengthened. Apostle John the beloved puts it perfectly:... I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one. 1 John 2:14. It says we have overcome the evil one. Strength is what it takes to enforce such conquest in our lives. We must grow in stature and every wise spiritually. Strength is a very important characteristic in this kingdom, as it determines how far you will go. Without spiritual strength, God will not entrust power to you. It is strength before power because He doesn't want you to be a liability to yourself. If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small. Proverbs 24:10. Don't be lazy to engage the Word daily, through the Holy Spirit, as it is our spiritual nourishment. Your strength is highly connected to your faith. ✡️ Reminder: As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 1 Peter 2:2 KJV |

HEAVEN'S DIGEST: Truth, Light & Bread Tue, August 4, 2020 Topic: First Point of Call Insta: @tlb_ministries The Spirit's Word: God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Acts 17:24, 27-28 KJV Truly, God is in heaven seated on His majestic throne. However, God is everywhere. His omnipresence can be perceived. Most importantly, He is in us and with us. If we really believe this, a lot of things would change about our approach when we sing and pray, and as we worship God. Many people still talk like like they are expecting God to come down from heaven. God gave us the Holy Spirit, Who is the third person of the Godhead. Matthew 28:19. How can we know this and still feel so far away from God? I hear songs that always depict God as a mystery we must cry and wail towards in order to see Him move. We are now the sons of God, begotten by Him through Christ Jesus. James 1:18. We are connected to Him in a perfect union. We say we want more of God. It is not in saying it, or singing it. If we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us. James 4:8. No need for hypocrisy. He is as close to us as we are close to Him. Let's stop all these attitude that makes God a myth that is impossible to unravel. We can't know everything there is to know about Him, but all we need to know about Him is made manifest by Jesus who is the express image of His person. Hebrews 1:3. The first point of call is to always reach out to the One within you, who is always with you. John 14:17. If we fail to acknowledge this truth, God will be far from us, even though He is near. And we will go on crying to heaven, shouting, and wailing to no avail. He has come for no other reason than to serve us. This may sound outrageous, but it is the truth. He is the Helper. Jesus also told us that He is a minister to men, even though He is our Lord. Matthew 20:28. This is a truth if not understood and applied properly, many would fall. Our intimacy with God is only via the Holy Spirit. If you claim to know Christ without acknowledging the Helper, it's just a mirage. The three are one, and glorify one another. No one can glorify Himself alone. The Holy Spirit must glorify Christ, and Christ must glorify the Father, and the Father in turn glorifies the Son. They are inseparable. All denominations must understand this if they are to walk in the power and glory of God. Our hunger or thirst for God has been quenched already. Jesus told us: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. He was speaking of salvation. John 4:14. What is required from believers is our fellowship. ✡️ Reminder: God is not moved by what isn't His truth. Let's stop mocking our righteous identity, and seek Him with a pure heart. |

HEAVEN'S DIGEST: Truth, Light & Bread Mon, August 3, 2020 Topic: Power of the Gospel Insta: @tlb_ministries The Spirit's Word: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16 KJV God's power is inherent in His Word. Without the Word, there is no power. All through Scriptures, the power of God only manifests with the Word spoken forth. As true believers, we must understand that preaching the Gospel is a ministration of the power of God to the hearers. A lack of knowledge of this will make our preaching void and ineffective. Apostle Paul said, it is the power of God unto Salvation to those that believe. How could they believe when they were unbelievers? Because God has given every man the measure of faith. Romans 12:3. Everybody has the capability to receive the Gospel which is the truth. Many don't accept it because of their self-will, and also the god of this world has blinded their eyes from this glorious light. 2 Corinthians 4:4. We were all once held captive by Satan, until we believed and were catapulted from his domain into that of God's dear Son. Our attitude should be one of love, in order to see the salvation of multitudes who are yet to accept the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Love is the greatest aspect of God's power. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:8. To see a harvest of souls like never before would require the ministration of love. Also, people are attracted to love, including the worst of sinners. We cannot claim to be Christians, and live like the rest of the world. We are examples of Christ on this earth in our walk, talk and conduct. When we are not lacking in this aspects, we can trust God to make the power of the Gospel manifest in its fullness. Our hearers already believe in so many things before we tell them of Jesus. Among which are highly justifiable from the ill conduct of many believers all over the world. We can make evangelism easy on ourselves as the Body of Christ, by living this sacrificial life - a life that reflects what Christianity is all about, which is the cross. We can pull down those mental and psychological strongholds if we first reach out in love. Jesus told His disciples to wait to be endued with power before they went out to preach. We must back up our preaching with power. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are tokens of God's love to the world. We can help the lost in so many other ways before preaching. No one will see their spiritual decadence before what is physically obvious. We must be realistic in approach, and consider how God would want things to be. ✡️ Reminder: Winning the lost is our job on earth until Jesus returns. If we're not putting a priority on it, then we have lost our true purpose. |
