A colleague of mine posted this picture of a young man who lost almost a whole left upper limb as a result of patronizing a traditional bone setter. He presented to the clinic after the condition of the limb has deteriorated so much.

Before I start I will like to state my order number: 305476625

I made Four (4) orders from jumia on 3/12/15.

I opted for Pay BEFORE delivery of which the payment went thorugh successfully.

5 days later, Jumia shipped one of the items to me, but afterwards I never heard from them again.

After waiting for about 1 week without hearing from the courier, I tried tracking the orders online, and to my utmost suprise the items were shipped to calabar (while my shipping address is uyo), and they kept on moving it from their main store in calabar to their warehouse still in calabar in a to and fro manner repeatedly. Meaning the items kept revolving around these locations in Calabar and never left there.

This continued for another 1 week. I called the customer care repeatedly and sent a number of mails all to no avail. All I got were only empty promises of "we will escalate this complain and resolve it"!

After another 2 weeks (making it 4 weeks), they managed to ship down one other item (4/01/16). I was happy feeling they have finally resolved the issue.
But on the contrary, the problem still persisted.

This is almost 6 weeks since I made this transaction, the last date on the tracking history for the 2 remaining items was on the 19/12/15. Meaning no one can state the precise location of these items now.

When I finally got fade up 3 days ago, I had to call the customer care representative requesting for a refund on the undelivered goods. But I am yet to hear from them as usual.

I am sure all my orders could have been delivered on time assuming I opted for pay-on-delivery option.

Jumia has failed to sort this out, rather decided to give me a cold treatment.

Poor attitude from the customer care reps, poor shipping method, poor organization in general.

This is a transaction i will always regret.
JUMIA is a company I used to hold to high esteem, but it's obviouus I was wrong. I am very disappointed.

You mentioned that her symptoms are classical....ofcourse enuf for UTI spot diagnosis....i dont need to send her for unnecassary swab n culture when i already have the answer she needs.

FYI...There are hundreds of websites that offer platform for patients to post their complaints and ofcourse receive Rx advice from specialist doctors, and that does not make them quacks.

Also i will suggest you update your knowledge on prescription cos you just disgraced your self.

Nitrofurantoin is given 50 -100mg PO 6Hourly (comfirm with the link below), but cos of side effects and patient's compliance i am comfortable with 100mg PO bd. i have actually lost count of patients i treated for this. You need to revisit your pharm ok.

Op you may wish to confirm the prescription using world reputed online medical resourse such as:

Op it is possible you may have contracted UTI. Also dont completely rule out post-coital vagi.nal bruise.
Although i wish you had given more details on if there is any associated abnormal vagi.nal diacharge or not. but lemme just go on and advice u anyways.

My Recommendations:

First take Nitrofurantoin 100mg tabs. one tab in the morning and one at night, for three days. take with sufficient water. This will completely take care of the UTI. there will be no harm even if u dont really have UTI. so just take it.


Secondly, stay off sex for at least two weeks, so you can heal. this is incase you have some vagi.nal bruise.
Always use lubricants when u get dry.

Thirdly, if u dont get any better after three days of the nitrofurantoin dosage (very unlikely tho), then go see an obs/gyne specialist.

Dont forget to do Rvs screening after three months.

Besides the lymphoadenopathy, what else did your doctor tell u that was not right with you after thoroughly examining You?
What is the nature of the lymph nodes when u toich them? Rubbery, hard, matted or painful to touch?
Well it's possible the WBC count you did was wrong. So as a confirmation you need to repeat the test.
Also, to rule out lymphoma you need to do lymph node biopsy as well as bone marrow biopsy.
