FG Suspends Residency Training!! by phantom(m): 3:24pm On Aug 14, 2014 |
we have officially entered the bloody phase of the strike just like what was attempted for ASUU. the FG wants to test the resolve of its doctors by officially suspending the residency training program and firing all resident doctors. consequently, they want to employ foreign and local doctors to work with the consultants. HOs, registrars and senior registrars have been fired. no more specialist training! the national and west African post graduate colleges will also cease to function. Nigerians should therefore expect the hospitals to open soon and too be run by fresh doctors. aluta continua.... The Federal Government, Thursday, announced the suspension of Residency Training programme in all Federal hospitals across the country.http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/08/fg-sacks-resident-doctors/ 9 Likes |

that means medical students cannot graduate to become doctors. Medical consultants automatically become medical officers because it's the training that gives the title. Medical governing bodies become redundant thus nobody to report to so malpractise becomes common place. GOODLUCK TO ME, GOODLUCK TO YOU. GOODLUCK TO EVERYBODY........ You will need it. 33 Likes |

message from NARD PRO; As a fall out from NMA strike, NOC has confirmed a circular from d FG suspending residency training in Nigeria, terminating d appointment of all resident Drs n expressing readiness to employ locum Drs. All members should not feel intimidated by this action nor take up any sack letter or locum job in any hospital. Medical governing bodies become redundant thus nobody to report to so malpractise becomes common place. this is what the m.orons do not know..... effectively they ll be sh**ting on multiple laws governing the running of medicine and teaching hospitals in this country. ebola is ravaging your country, where your doctors are on strike. your response to the situation is to fire the single largest body of doctors. the doctors WHO ACTUALLY KEEP THE HOSPITALS GOING. funny indeed. 14 Likes |

When government pay so much to train only doctors residency program in Nigeria and instead of doctors to be greatful they still threatened government with strikes, what do you expect government to do, now government will use the money to employ and pay only full term staff to work in the hospital, and if any medical professionals want residency program you will have to pay for it yourself, simple as ABC. 42 Likes |

Some people are so ignorant of the hippocratic oath,as if the oath says medical doctors should not be paid. They say doctors put money before patients,so doctors should not be collecting salary abi? For your information, doctors spend more time with patients than the time they spend with their own family, yet some fools says doctors are not commited. The only way a doctor makes up for the time away from their family is what they bring home at the end of the month for all the time they spent attending to others, yet some fool says doctors put money ahead of patients.Fashola packed mad people on the streets,he forgot some are online. 22 Likes |
