I went visa interview today. Here is my story. Before now I have been to the uk twice, the last time was 2015, in addition to this I was issued a u.s visa in August 2015 which I was unable to use due to my busy schedule at work. My visa appointment was 8 o'clock and the interview went like this: Me: Good morning (she didn't respond) Vo: your passport (I passed to her) Vo: where are you going? Me: ..... Maryland Vo: are u going to visit a friend or family? Me: No, am going for a training seminar. Vo: what's it about? Me: management and leadership skills for managers and supervisors Vo: what leadership Me: leadership in ...(as I was trying to explain, she just hushed me with her hand to stop. Vo: Have you been outside Nigeria before? Me: yes, I have been to the uk Vo: unfortunately you are not qualified for bla, bla, bla... Na so the black American woman just wrap my passport with pink paper as if she wrap roasted plantain. From my observations, lots of rejections. I honestly feel a decision had already been made before the applicants attend the interview. I could read the reaction on the VO's face (while starring at her computer) immediately she scanned my passport. This is not to put fear in anyone that wish to apply but I just want to state it that things have really changed at the U.S embassy and they are working on a strict policy, especially when it comes to Nigerians. Wish those going for interview in this Trump era the best of luck. Cheers! |
Nice start, I wish him more goals. |
komekn:Correct talk, No shame about it, I did it and through it I met some very nice white folk that we still communicate up till date (11 years after) The job paid my bills and helped me through school. Nigerians are hypocites, I can recall an incident then. A friend visited me in the uk and I told him the kind of job I do on weekends, in fact I gave him a treat from the toilet money o. He got back to naija and made it known to my girlfriend that I clean toilet in the uk. Surprisingly, my girlfriend told him she knows and she was ok with it. The guy was shocked. On his next visit, the fool was begging me to introduce him to the business, I loudly told him to Bleep off. |
CanadaOrBust:CanadaOrBust, I think your moniker is more demeaning and insulting to the nation, especially your families. I reckon you should change it to CanadaOrDie. Let me enlighten your ignorant soul. CanadaOrbust you are definitely going to bust daydreaming of canada.yes I made £300 a week, I worked only on Fridays and Saturdays making an average of £100 to £130 a night plus the £50 the pub pays me weekly. Really what you make per night depends on level of the club. Some guys that worked in some top clubs in Manchester and London makes as much as £400 a night. Finally, cleaning of poo is never involved. Unfortunately it's your poo I have to deal with by all these explanation simply because you are less informed. |
Ugosample:It's a complimentary service that u get tips for. |
Mmmm |
Pekee, that's the name. I did it too when I was in England. In fact it was my major job, I do rake in about £300 every week. The clubs I worked then were in Bolton, Saint Helens and Warrington. |
[quote author=ednut1 post=80801624]The job is called pekee. U stay in toilet of the night clubs selling sweets perfume condom etc and also clean the toilet. Oyinbo go drop you coins. U can make 100 pounds in a night . Many nigerians do |
Am surprised that nobody noticed that above performance fee is specifically for colleges in the states. These are heavily discounted fee. |

There are 3 Rs that must take place in the life of every employee 1. Retrenchment - One day your employer will lay you off, it doesn't matter how good you are. Once they can find someone who can offer the same service you do and is willing to earn less, you are fired. 2. Resignation - There comes a time in your life you will resign from your job because you don't like what you earn, or tired of leaving home very early, or tired of doing the same thing over and over again. Probably you want to start up your business, whatever the reason you will leave the job. 3. Retirement - You can't work forever in that company, a day of retirement is coming. In all these Rs, do you want to wait for any of this to happen before you take your Plan B serious? Winter is coming and may it not catch you unawares. Don't waste your time and money. It happened to me too and the lawyer took the matter to the industrial court, I got tired from the constant demand for more cash by my lawyer. The company is richer than you and its legal department will be ever ready to use you for practicals. Presently am on my own and I make an average of $300 weekly from the comfort of my home without saying "yes ma'am or yes sir" to any boss. Call or whatsapp me on 08037798195 |
