Even then we never lost against Eibar. And we always scored against them. This is our first loss and first game without scoring against them. We keep breaking negative records this season. We simply can't help ourselves.

The game was bad on all levels. Solari made the mistake of using Ceballos as DM when Llorente is fit and didn't even make the bench. I hope he learns. Then for some reason we weren't able to be press-resistant when passing triangles is our specialty and all our players have amazing on-the-ball control. Furthermore for whatever reason Benz and Bale after playing with CR7 for years couldn't beat the offside trap even once.

The template seems to be any team that comes at us will get goals. If we have a sh*t game like today, we'd lose. This was our first team. If we replayed a better pressing team like Liverpool today, this thread would have been a carnival.

We are lucky Barca have been misbehaving in the league as well. If this was last year, the point gap woulda been massive.

James was our last WC buy. You talk about the 2016/2017 season and conveniently forgot our sh*t 2015 season or our sh*t 2017/2018 domestic season. That same amazing Real Madrid B couldn't win the CdR. That depth you talk about could easily have gone either way. Because Kiko Casilla is sh*t. Llorente, Mayoral, Hakim, Hernadez, Mariano in his first stint, even Ceballos last season et al were not up to typical RM quality.

Since 2015, we've been saying we'd buy a galactico, we'd rejuvenate the squad. Every summer since then we've failed to do so.

I'm sure Pepe too wanted game time elsewhere? Kovacic couldn't possibly be persuaded to stay when we'd sell Modric sometime in the next 2-3 years, no? And if you're going to sell them, you couldn't possibly get credible replacements, because Mariano is so close to CR7's level right? Vallejo is close to Pepe's level? Even Lope that has been sacked asked for Kovacic to be replaced, did your MCM President listen?

We always leak goals. But typically we scored more. Take away the GOAT, put Benz as the target man, and have a second-rate option as the only alternative, and that's the stat you'd have. It's literally science.

Now Flo P is expecting Solari to still meet the season's objectives (whatever they are) with same depleted squad. And if he doesn't look like doing so, he'd be replaced in no time.

In a different timeline J Lo would have had a better time at RM. He was very unlucky. I hope the payout makes up for the heartache tho'. I do wish him the very best.
