Personally, I don't have qualms with Benzema. He does what he can when he can. If Isco hadn't stuck out his leg in a moment of lack of concentration yesterday, Benz would have had a goal. And for all he has done for the club, he deserves to bow out gracefully.

But what I wouldn't take is doing that at the expense of another player. Trying to scapegoat Bale while trying to give Benzema a pass is just a low blow.

Bale had always covered the flank on behalf of Carvahal. And he still presses up field to create as much chances as Benz.

Benz being the main striker hardly comes close to the 18 yard box even when we defend.


And yes its not about Bale-Benz but justifying Benz's performance as being superb while ridiculing Bale using the same metrics is where the problem lies.

I strongly support this. Same with Theo. I believe these guys should stay and develop with the team. Ramos was God knows what when the club signed him, and now he is our minister of defence.
