Investnow2017: I disagree with you on your definition of faith. Faith is the evident demonstration of realities that are not seen. You believe in air and breeze, you know when your ceiling fan is turned on and when it is turned off even as you do not see the breeze.
So faith is not gullible it is reasonable and backed with facts and evidence. Get any standard dictionary and check the definition of 'faith'. Faith has nothing to do with evidence or facts. It's kind of the opposite. It's when ppl lack facts and evidence to support their claims that they run to faith. Just because I can't see air doesn't mean the presence of air cant be tested or demonstrated with reliable results over and over again. There are some gases that are colourless and odourless but they can be manufactured industrially and stored in cylinders and they have certain properties that would make scientists identify them. Tell us how the ex-atheist found out there's a deity? |

eleojo23: If a strong atheist finally acknowledges that there is God, his fellow atheists will say "he was never an atheist!" and they will start throwing tantrums all over nairaland Has any of ex-atheists given proof for existence of god? If yes then trust me atheism will vanish coz an atheists lack of belief is due to lack of proof for any deity. If no, then the persons acceptance of god is merely out of faith not evidence. Faith is believing in something without evidence. |

xynerise: Sex Are you saying the lady don't enjoy the sex? If you will agree both parties enjoy the sex then why is it the duty of man to pay for the sex. |

Fairgodwin: I think, no I don't think, I feel, no not feel, I believe it's high time Christians started doing thorough research and reading their Bibles [on their own, especially in their spare time]. I remember back then, as a young Christian, whenever the service(s) for the day were over, we would always write down every scriptural passages from the preacher(s) and at home we would start studying them on our own to be sure whatever was preached tallies with what is in the scripture, especially as regards the context in which the preacher used them. We were very serious and open minded to learning, improving, and discerning things for ourselves scripturally and spiritually back then. I remember our pastor would personally advise us to go through everything again on our own as Christians and pray for the Holy Spirit to help us understand them better. I remember he would say God might even give us understanding in a different way from whatever the preacher said. Oh my young Christian soul, how hast thou lost it? I'm sure most Christians were like that too but [we] have all suddenly lost it as a result of spiritual laziness and lukewarmness.
So my advice to every Christian out there would be, don't just take in everything the Apostle [and or any other preacher] said hook, line, and sinker. Go for personal research on your own, read more of your Bible, follow your God and Jesus and NOT your pastors; amen! Is there any chance that you can understand the Bible more than the 'anointed' man of God? |

FearFactor1: in as much as Judah was instrumental in the dead of Christ, all he has to do was repent of his ways. Instead he went ahead to take his life.
Suicide in its own is a sin, so there was no saving his soul. Isn't the suicide part of what god had predestined? |

zionmade: Bros i love ur passion in naming ur boy Judas. Its not a bad name though. But Judas Jesus' disciple was stealing from d purse of Jesus which made him available for use by d devil. Jesus didn't die because someone betrayed him. Even if no one betrayed him, at d appointed time, he could have still died. I think you missed the part where the OP says it was predestined for Judas to act in the way he did. I think your grudge should be with the director/scriptwriter of the movie not the actor. |
