Travel / Re: I Am A Fresh Graduate Of Medicine And Surgery, which Country Should I Migrate To? by usezer: 6:27pm On Jan 13, 2012
For doctors wanting to immigrate to Canada, if you have at least one or two years of experience as a doctor in Nigeria, all you need to do is to apply for permanent residency straight although processing takes an average of 12months but either way you will still get it. On another note, you will still have to do the conversion exam in order to be able to practice as a medical doctor when you get to canada.

Regarding Australia Immigration, I don't really know much about that, but I am aware that they are looking for doctors as well.
Politics / Re: Nigeria's Biggest Problem: Corruption, Infrastructure, Energy, Or Evil Leaders by usezer: 1:11am On Feb 12, 2011
Yeah corruption is evil and destructive - but do you think that if any Nigerian leader sets out primarily to tackle corruption, he/she would get anywhere before the tenure comes to an end. A single individual cannot tackle corruption in Nigeria, a reliable team would be needed to do that. Unfortunately, how do you go about constituting such team since every aspect of the Nigerian system is corrupt - Government institutions, public organizations, private organizations, religious institutions, educational institutes - every aspect is corrupt.

My guess is: address basic needs of life (Energy is key component of any evolving economy) and in the process tackle corruption.
Politics / Nigeria's Biggest Problem: Corruption, Infrastructure, Energy, Or Evil Leaders by usezer: 7:33am On Feb 11, 2011
Nigeria is blessed with so much, yet an average Nigerian has little or nothing to show for it. I am sure this is not the way nature has designed it to be.  The natural law would be: whoever is blessed with so much should have plenty to enjoy, minding the interest of the future generations.

Apparently something(s) is not right about Nigeria - i.e. there are problems. But as new election is around the corner, lets be awakened to the fact that NOBODY can fix ALL the problems of Nigeria at once, hence there is need to prioritize. I would expect that any future leader of this country should be able to identify what is the biggest problem facing Nigeria that needs to be addressed first and foremost.

To be sincere, I am not sure which of the following heavy weight issues would top the chart:

1. Corruption
2. Infrastructure
3. Energy
4. Evil Leadership

Which would you consider to be the biggest?

Politics / What Do You Know About The Forth Coming Election Candidates? by usezer: 3:52am On Feb 08, 2011
The 2011 election is fast approaching, and this is being highly considered by most people (citizens and international observers) to be a determinant of Nigeria's future.

However, a major problem most Nigerian voters may have is: more often than not, the electorate only know the aspiring candidates through words-of-mouth, despite this being a very unreliable means of gathering facts. In order to empower voters with accurate knowledge about the aspirants, a team of Nigerian Web Experts (including myself) have created an online portal http://www.electioncandidates2011.com with details (such as general background, election
manifesto, past political and non-political accomplishments, etc) about the aspiring candidates and an opportunity for any Nigerians to
tell (in writing) what they know about each aspirant.

All you may need to do is:
1. Register
2. Authenticate your account through the registration email you received by registration
3. Add candidates you know and has not been added yet
4. 'Like' your preferred candidate
5. Tell others what you know about any of the candidates
6. You can like other users' comments too.

NB. We are open to suggestions/comments too - this is a purely patriotic project!
