The 1st Omidan Oge 2019 has come and gone like a flash, I can remember when myself and my team first sat to breath upon the idea, this was some ten to eleven months ago. As at that moment, the vision looked too big to be achieved but to the glory of God, we have made history in Okun land.

Our Royal Fathers, Mothers, Chairman of the Occasion, Deputy Speaker Kwara State House of Assembly, Distinguished Guests, Aare Yeye Oge and the Omidan Oge project wouldn’t be where we are today without people like you by our side.

Our distinguished “Ogo Okuns”, “Iya Ni Wuras”, “Yeye Oge Cares” beneficiaries, “Omidan Oge”, “Omidan Asa, “Omidan Ewa”, “Okun Super Cook” and the entire beauty queens. You all are amazing and I commend you on your new achievements.

Verve Megaminds Network is a group of passionate young people with a drive to contribute to the development of human lives through Mind development, Skills acquisition, Educational programs and humanitarian/development support. Today, VMN officially announces the implementation of her annual ExtendedLove project on the 16th and 17th of November 2019 in two states, Kaduna and Kogi State. This will be the 6th edition as VMN in her 5 previous ExtendedLove project reached out to over 4,000 lives directly and indirectly ranging from vulnerable children, orphans, widows, Primary school children, Youths, prison inmates and communities. This year's project is tagged EMPOWER THE FUTURE targeted at improving the Education and welfare of children, the less privileged and Children living with disabilities (CLWDs). The project seeks to have a blend of three sub projects which includes; Kick for Charity, Charity Funfair, and Humanity Award night. The primary aim of this three angled project is specifically targeted at improving welfare and providing quality education for vulnerable Children, the less privilegded Children and Children living with disabilities in the society. The secondary aim is to identify key players (individuals,organizations,brands) who are supporting charity and then appreciate them with a recognition award (Humanity Award) for their contribution to humanity. EXPANSION: Proposed Movement to Permanent Site _Certain_ as New Faculties gets Deans

The hope of moving to the permanent to the permanent site is becoming a reality as the New Proposed Faculties gets Deans. This was contained in the School's monthly Bulleting released in Friday 28th June, 2019.

According to the statement, Dr Remi Akujobi of English and Literary Studies Department is to man Faculty of Arts while Prof Matthew Ajayi of Political Science takes charge of Social Sciences.

More also, The Deanship of the Faculty of Education and Faculty of Management Science goes to Prof Omolehin Mathematical Science Department and Prof Idris A. Jayeoba of Geography Department respectively.

Prof Abdullahi E. Bala also emerged Dean of the Faculty of Sciences.

Also appointed are Dr Bamidele Anthony and Dr John W. Neptali as Heads of the Departments of English and Literary Studies; and Economics respectively.

Recall that, in the April issue of the School News Bulleting. The school management had announced her plans to start new programs and to move to the permanent site by the start of 2019/2020 session.

As at 22nd April, 2019 when Campus Connect Team visited the permanent site located in Felele, along Abuja-Okene-Kabba road. The feasibility of the planned movement was yet uncertain.

Campus Connect Team reported that serious construction works are ongoing at the site and two Faculty Buildings are fully ready with Classrooms, Offices and a Lecture Theatre each.

The Library and MIS units are at the stage of Furniture and fittings.

More so, one of the two Hostel blocks, capable of accommodating up to 500 students is fully ready while the other is at the finishing stage. While the road leading to the hostel is been graded and works are almost done with the drainages.

Another important development worthy of note is the Drama Village for the Department of Theater Arts which is also under construction.

It was also reported about two weeks ago by FUL Vibe TV that works has commence on the construction of the Gate House.

This and the appointment of the new Deans proves the management's readiness to move to the permanent site Next session.

I am glad to note, Sir, that your unflinching crusade on the fight against student welfarism has won Kogi Students great respect within the state as well as students beyond our shores. This is as against what we’ve had in the past fifteen years (15yrs) in the Association. Very recently at the just concluded NAKOSS @15, Kogi leaders attested to your impeccable character and astute personality and commended your sincere effort towards making NAKOSS a better Association
With what you have achieved since assuming office as our President, an excerpt from the official nakoss websites from the last six months alone including Immortalizing of GSSS Students who lost there life on mount Patti, 300% increase in bursary, Opening of Nakoss secretariat, educative Programs organized, nakoss website and new nakoss logo, payments of fee for 20 students both in primary, secondary, tertiary institutions and from a reliable source, recently with the magnanimity of the chief of staff and with pressure by the NAKOSS President, Comr. Moses Omeiza Audu (Troy) to increase the numbers of winners from 7 persons to win 50k to 17 persons to win 50k.

Officially introducing her pet project; campaign against violence in electoral poling units. The need for peace can never be over emphasized, as peaceful co-existence brings about unity, development and progress. Violence in polling units more often has truncated peace in our community; therefore there is need for a re-orientation regarding peace before, during and after election.
This project was incited because of spate of political violence that has been evident during and after elections in Nigeria, and the fact that this acts threaten the peace and integrity of Nigeria elections. The project is focused at ensuring that youth organize against electoral violence at pre-election, election or post-election periods in order to protect their mandates was carried out in Kogi State and also to ensure that Nigerians know the risk factor involve in electoral violence.
Your support will immensely help in achieving this project, and also aid in disseminating this particular information to the general public, therefore the project campaign against violence in electoral poling units is a brain child of Queen Aisha Saka whose aim is not limited to the following:
 To influence public attitude and behaviors against electoral violence through the use of antiviolence message and movements.
 To encourage and empower men, women and youth to organize and avoid electoral violence in their communities.
 To promote non-violence elections campaign;
 To increase and enhance youths peaceful participation in the 2019 elections;
 To introduce citizens especially hard to reach youth to the basic rules and institutional features of democratic political systems and to provide them with knowledge about democratic rights and practices through sports.
 To encourage peaceful solutions and cultural understanding amongst youths.
