Inflation would NOT occur. undecided

You Pple should stop all these Wrong Analysis that tends to discourage NLC. sad sad

It's only Civil servants that will Actually enjoy the Implementation of the Minimum Wages.

So why will the Market Woman raise prices of Her goods when she knows that a Barber, POS operator, Farmer, private school teacher, Pastor, etc did not benefit from ithuh?
It is not just civil servant who will enjoy the implementation, some private sector enterprise will also put it into implementation as well. Now imagine private businesses jacking up wages of their workers, wont they increase the prices of whatever they produce?
What about traders who are not on minimum, will you expect the prices of whatever they sell to remain constant?
Its high time people came to realization that economic laws and principles doesnt work here, there Is no one cross checking anyone's excesses. We do whatever that pleases us.

PoliticsRe: How Is Minimum Wage Calculated ? by Usmanovic95(m): 10:08pm On Jun 06, 2024
phantom:
Yes, it will be like that at that level because NYSC is essentially minimum wage. But it is not 67% increase that will be applied as you go higher. It gradually drops. Next level may be 60%, next one 55%, next 50% and so on till the people at the top may be getting just 5 to 10% increase in their salary.
Hmmm, different Level/hierarchy has its own calculation I guess?
PoliticsRe: How Is Minimum Wage Calculated ? by Usmanovic95(m): 9:53pm On Jun 06, 2024
To calculate the minimum wage in Nigeria, you can use the following formula:

New Minimum Wage Calculation:
If the old minimum wage is NGN18,000, and the new minimum wage is NGN30,000, the increment is 67%.
Formula: 67/100 x 18000 = 30000

I actually cross-check this with NYSC ALLAWEE when old ALLAWEE was still 19800 before minimum wage was increased to 30k and new allawee 33k.
PoliticsRe: The Damage Of The New Minimum Wage We Don’t Discuss by Usmanovic95(m): 8:56pm On Jun 06, 2024
Honestly I feel the real inflation is just warming up by the sideline. What government need to right now is to inject life back to our economy either by making all our refineries work at optimal level or bring back subsidy on petroleum products. Then address issues of insecurities so farmers can go back to their farmlands without fear of bandit attack and government need to ensure foods grown here are not smuggled out illegally through our land borders.

Sometimes in life,if you want to learn, you have to be humble. For that girl to go on her kneels without scoffing or protest shows she is likely gaining alot from her boss either material or immaterial. We obviously don't know the full story yet.

PoliticsRe: Nigerians Should Sue Organized Labour To Court Via Class Action. by Usmanovic95(m): 2:39pm On Jun 01, 2024
MASTAkiLLAh:
Organized Labour has vowed to go on strike by the third of June 2024 which is by Monday. Nigerians have been front sit eyewitnesses to the meaningless strikes which Labour has been embarking upon these past few months with even critical infrastructure being affected.
I therefore implore Nigerians to institute a class action lawsuit against Labour unions and their leadership if their strike actions affect us negatively in any way especially for services we pay for ie critical infrastructure like electricity.
I've not seen or heard anywhere in the world where a bunch of unionists keep frustrating the people they claim to be serving. We all know that Nigeria is in a deep mess now and no government can pay that over 400k MINIMUM WAGE they're demanding even if the FG cuts frivolous expenses across board so who are they kidding ? Their planned strike should and must not affect critical infrastructure if not we as Nigerians should sue the NLC and other Labour leaders to court to test what authorities they have under the constitution and the FG will have to follow suit because, the Tinubu led has tried it's reasonable best in this case.

What do you think ?

Cc nlfpmod
Mr SUElaimon just go ahead and sue them.
