My dear friend, there are much better reasons to support the recent increase in pump price than making moot references to GEJ.

Must this government and its supporters always use GEJ to validate their wishy washy policies ? undecided

Saying that the GEJ government made more dollars, therefore they should have been able to afford a trillion Naira fuel SUBSIDY makes zero sense.

Fuel SUBSIDY is a stuupid waste of Nigeria's money, irrespective of how much the government earned.

Fuel SUBSIDY removal didn't start with GEJ. It has been with us since the Abacha days.
Anyway you look at it , it is has always been a waste.

GEJ, like those before him, wanted to remove SUBSIDY for genuine , sound economic reasons that are now too obvious to the current Administration. Simple.

I repeat, as of two days ago, there was ZERO fuel SUBSIDY.

No SUBSIDY was removed.

The government simply imposed a 68% tax on the pump price of petrol.

A tax by any other name is still a tax.

I want to import PMS.....Can I source forex from the CBN. ..

I assumed, naira is officaly devaluated for PMS importantion only......

Career / Re: Lecturing Job Vs MNC Job Which Do You Prefer? by usy309(m): 7:11am On Apr 24, 2016
For the meantime, liquidity wise, u go for the MNC, lecturing will only pay u in the long run if u have the passion and the perseverance to endure to build a academic career,

But if u are an Engineer, I urge you to start with MNC, because EXPERIENCE IS THE BEST TEACHER, knowing ur job practically, will build ur innovation skil, give u more challenge not the said engineer in academic that do not know the technical know how of stuff in their field...joining academic will be easy for u later on....

Politics / Re: The Economist-How To Make A Hard Currency Crisis Worse By Buhari by usy309(m): 6:03am On Mar 25, 2016
For those who ask and are expecting the result as if it is the change, you must pause and find out what the meaning of change is, they think and expect that the change is an end itself, almost as a noun, change is a verb, and it is the process in which you reach your goal and aspiration.
The goal is the goal but change is what helps you reach your goal, it is a continuum. A person that is 200kg and is fat and wants to reduce to 80kg, change is not reducing to 80kg, the goal is reducing to 80kg but change is to stop eating junk food, stop ice cream, go to the gym and exercise, that is the change that will help you shed the weight and you reach your goal of 80kg.

It is a good step to correct but it is always better to do so in order to make the person see the need to improve and not only glorify the deficiencies . There are mistakes but not so damaging. The writer produced a very thoughtful piece that evokes critical analysis of the abnormalities in our Nation. I am really impressed a young graduate did this and the sky is only his starting point as he will improve with time.

What matter is the information...not the grammar....are we in exam hall

Why are you trying to force your mentality down my throat? I said maths is not hard to me. Don't you realize that the higher I go, the older I get, and the older I get, the smarter I become, so it all balances up.

I've never had a problem doing mathematics before. Except when I listened to people like you.

Anyway, thanks for the challenge, after my first degree, I will go and major in mathematics. Then I will come back and quote you on my graduation date. Do not deactivate. See you in eight years.
