Lessons learnt;
* Everybody on the road is 'non compos mentis' except me
* So expect the worst
* Be on the qui vive at all time
* Be fully kitted with all the safety gears at all times
* Spend money to get quality gear
* Bike community is very supportive

To put the bike back in shape, I replaced the following parts
* The headlight brace/support
* The headlight
* All the fairings with a more pronounced red
* Left handle bar
* And the foot shift lever
I got all the parts from China and did all the replacement myself.

Don't bother with him, he is a known troll.
I remember when I was learning too back in school with my tiger cub, dropped it also a couple of times.
It's rare to master bikes without dropping it occasionally so don't get discouraged, always protect yourself, be very vigilant on the road especially and last but not least always apply common sense.

You will be more visible if the colour wasn't black, also

True! I changed the color and my blinkers and light are always on
