The Nigerian cyclist was called in at the last minute to contest a road cycling race, after an Egyptian cyclist was disqualified.

Team Nigeria contested only in the track cycling races, and therefore only went to Paris with track-purpose bicycles.

The road race bicycles cost up to $40,000 each, and of course were not required by Team Nigeria.

So when the Nigerian girl was asked to do the road race at short notice, she borrowed a road race bicycle from the German team, which was there for track and road racing events.

SOMEHOW, THIS INCIDENT turned into a social media STORM in which the Nigerian government was abused and insulted by the usual suspects - Emergency Nigerians - for the ‘’embarrassment of having to borrow a common bicycle” from other countries, which showed the depth of incompetence and corruption of the government.

SO-CALLED ‘PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE’ PETER OBI, whom you would expect, as a presidential material, to INVESTIGATE the incident prior to issuing public statements on it, simply CONSUMED the social media propaganda of his fellow Emergency Nigerians, and LAMBASTED the government publicly for “borrowing a bicycle” at the Olympics, condemning their “rascality”, “corruption”, and “incompetence”.

This shows that PETER OBI lacks the intelligence, judgement, discipline, and composure to be the PRESIDENT of the biggest and most powerful black nation on Earth.

He must not be elected to such an important high office.

It’s far too risky.

ABUJA— The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has mocked the All Progressives Congress, APC, and its candidate in the Edo State Governorship Election scheduled for September 21, Senator Monday Okpebholo, over allegedly failing to articulate his manifesto.

“While the PDP candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, continues to marshal out detailed people-based and development-oriented manifesto that embodies the yearning and aspiration of the people of Edo State in every sector of life, the APC candidate in contrast only gropes with pitiable absence of ideas and lack of understanding of the intricate demands of governance.

“Also, while the PDP candidate is galvanizing the citizens on ways to sustain and further build on the current development in the State, the APC candidate is not able to connect with the people, having not demonstrated any capacity for governance.

“No wonder the APC candidate has been avoiding the media and town hall engagements with the people of Edo State.

“This lack of capacity explains why the APC candidate has largely remained quiet and uninspiring on the floor of the Senate and cannot point to any tangible development project he attracted to Edo State in his capacity as senator.

“Nigerians now know the reason the APC governorship campaign in Edo State remains comatose, completely devoid of issues and unable to attract any serious attention from the voting population in the State.

“This is why the APC and its leaders are frustrated and now resort to smear campaigns, promoting and instigating violence, having realized that Monday Okpebholo is no match for PDPs’ Dr. Asue Ighodalo.”
