You sef what's your problem? Do u like Xiaomi? Do you hate it? Will u stop sitting on a fence and form Yr own opinion and leave people to enjoy and defend their favorite brand.. I just dey watch u since for this thread, very active but perpetually irrelevant.. U provide nothing new to the thread, u don't help d newbies neither do u post any cool thing u've learnt or discovered.. Ur own is to attack anybody that praises Xiaomi and side with whoever or whatever hates on Xiaomi.. If u don't enjoy your RN7, dash it to MeshachMARTINS and fok off plix

I enjoy my Xiaomi as a back up device.. excellent for hotspot purposes... If it hurts you fokĀ² off too

We all need to suggest dis to appropriate channel, I will even add dat volume keys sud b disabled on lock screens
Those are few of features I enjoy using xpose

When playing music, volume keys come in handy

Either for skipping tracks with supported players or regular volume control.

It would be stressful to have to unlock to adjust volume

And there you go again being on the offensive. I guess you didn't understand my simple earlier post. Offensive, as used in that context is a noun as an antonym to being defensive(what you accused someone to be guilty of) and not "Offensive" as an adjective (rude/to cause upset) like you apparently supposed.
Xiaomi developers felt the need to remove a feature based on reasons best known to them, and yes it's indisputably, a fact; but I don't think that should be a source of criticism or controversy at all. If you're not okay with it, dump miui(you have the choice) or even Xiaomi totally. Being a fact still doesn't make it a flaw.

Finally, if you think I can be offended by an attack on miui/Xiaomi to the effect of headaches, then my friend, you're Jon Snow.
As a matter of fact, I don't care if anybody likes or dislike miui.
This is my last not on this particular issue.

The way you stake your argument is a major factor in how people react to it.

Your above post as a case study shows you are quick to attack. You mustn't have the final say.

Peace.

No bro.. it's not about the final say... Im only stating the obvious.. it was a feature we all had... Then it was removed.. someone pointed it out.. a few corroborated.... And the next thing we start seeing custom ROMs..

This was all about a feature that was removed... And if that is in anyway being offensive... lipsrsealed

You shouldn't take criticism as a bad thing. It is a good thing, it gives room for improvement.

Nobody gets paid to discredit another brand. Me I like tasting different waters. I may one day own a Xiaomi device. So my loyalty is based on what I see as the best.

I was beginning to ask myself if my note 7 had suddenly become an iPhone in my hand... Same Xiaomi that I've used and referred to others..

These are constructive observations... So why folks are quick to shout down others I will never know... Complex maybe

Why are you also hell bent on being on the offensive? That it doesn't have that feature doesn't mean it's a flaw. Why can't you guys just accept the peculiarity of miui? Or will you also accept that because another phone/Os doesn't have second space, then it's flawed?
I just don't understand you people sometimes.
Anyway, I greet you all in peace.

It's a fact.. someone pointed out it was in Oreo.

But it no longer works after updating to Pie..

Loads of folks also confirmed it doesn't work on pie..

So with all these facts are you saying it's cool for Xiaomi to remove a useful feature that lots of its users find useful?

Im just merely staying the obvious, if you find it offensive your headache... Fact remains that stock miui doesn't support wifi sharing via hotspot...

A feature which is a base on stock..

End of...

Like it or not it's a fact

Gcam is not made for any OS. It is made for a particular phone.

The gcam for note 7 can work well irrespective of the rom . Please

And at the bolded, I was actually referring to myself. tongue

Be like you get carryover for sacarsm

So who else came here looking for gcam for other devices besides miui devices..

Or posted gcam images of other OEM devices... Just quit getting all defensive when flaws that are pointed out.

That's why this is a XIAOMI forum

I did it on purpose otherwise someone will come here tomorrow and say "I read several compaints that hotspot and Wi-Fi don't work together on xiaomi phones" kiss

Las Las you realized it should be stock rom from Pie upwards

And at the bolded, isn't it funny how someone who's not even on miui feels attacked? grin grin grin

some of you guys here should come up with another punchline as it's outdated.

I'm on miui.. the gcam I posted was it from oxygen os?

I have been using miui for years... But I still keep an open mind.

Using multiple phones .doesnt mean all has to be xiaomi

So.. Wipe that smirk off ya face

Sure.

But he said "all xiaomi devices on the latest Android version don't support it...."

Some custom miui ROMs support it

Why you dey do like this.. we are talking stock rom.. you are doing custom..

Seems any flaw in miui pointed out gets seen as an attack on the os.. smh

Some rn5 users are still on Oreo. So yes it is currently supported, depending on your device and choice(s)

Point I'm trying to make is that miui didn't support it in current Android versions

MIUI supports it at least till android 9. I used it on my RN5 till I upgraded to Android 9.

Probably there is something on MIUI that doesn't gel with Android 9 or vice versa

Is it currently supported?

I get am before no be property

Stock Android 8 , 9 and 10 supports..

Blame miui and not the Android version

If you are talking about using both WiFi and Hotspot at the same time it doesn't work with Android 9. Don't know if Xiaomi have found a solution to it yet.

Works on my Samsung on Android 9

What you should say is miui doesn't support it
