Can you break this N2m investment down please. Considering space, tank, construction etc I doubt that amount can set up a working LPG station.

Firstly, I'm not considering any investor will be opening a new one. But it will be a collaborative investment. I own a location already.

So the N2m investment will comprise: Buying a single tank, Gas stock and other running cost. And it will be sited at my location on profitable business terms and conditions

Investment example:

If you invest N2m, it will be splitted into getting
1 LPG 2ton tank, and working capital.
Which will provide nothing less than 50k monthly.

It can provide more at times running to about 200k in a month depending on market sales flow.

Gas business is not for newcomers. Because you tend to get discouraged. Gas truck goes for 15-25million. The tank 15 tons 15million.

Lpg Logistics:

LPG trucks vary in prices depending on the weight of gas it can carry.

For example
A 9ton truck can be priced @ N8m-N10m
and A 15ton truck can be priced @ N14m-N18m. These prices also depend on the state of the truck e.g the year of manufacture, truck head brand etc.

All the three Inland Bulk Terminals are currently located in Lagos, the commercial nerve centre of Nigeria. There are 35 other states plus the Federal capital territory that all gets their domestic supply from Lagos with Bridger and Bobtail Trucks.

The states are different distances from the delivery depots which, in turn, differentiate the prices from their counterparts in the different parts of the country.

For example, if your LPG 20tonnes Plant is located in Lagos the cost of a Bridger truck to deliver LPG from the terminal at Apapa (in lagos) to your plant is NGN200,000 or NGN95,000 for a bob-tail truck if you operate a mini skid plant of 2.5-10tonnes.
Also, the cost to deliver that same quantity of LPG from Lagos to Port-Harcourt is 450,000 for a Bridger truck and NGN350, 000 for a bobtail truck.

These logistics costs can vary across the different geographical locations of Nigeria, LPG pricing also varies by location and distance from the source.

Imagine your truck bringing in minimum of N300k per week after 2-3trips.

N.B: Once you can purchase a Good truck. It will save you from early unexpected maintenance costs that are on a high side.

I want to talk more on the 3rd point. You can join in buying being an owner of a gas truck of any size.

You make money thru hiring. And this is a very great aspect as at now. Because a lot of mini plant owners require constant supply. We have very little readily available trucks.

A Police Inspector, Azeez Ajasa, on Tuesday died in a lone accident at Adedero village on the Kobape-Abeokuta Expressway in Ogun.

Mr Babatunde Akinbiyi, the Public Relations Officer of Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abeokuta.

Akinbiyi said the officer, who was driving a white Golf 4 car with registration number EKY 631 BB lost control of the vehicle and veered into the bush, somersaulting in the process.

“The accident happened around 11:30 am. The victim was a serving police inspector attached to Mopol 16, Oke Ilewo, Abeokuta, ” he said.

The TRACE spokesman said the corpse of the deceased had been deposited at the State Hospital, Ijaye, Abeokuta.

Hello guys,
This is a topic that keeps bothering me. Starting a new business in Nigeria basically puts you in the arms of cheats. I want us to share our experiences so for other to learn ahead and not fall in the same start up holes.

I was cheated when I wanted to start LPG business on both small scale and now medium scale. People tend to show as if they are truely concerned and want to help but they end up adding their own budget into yours. I believe Nigeria can be better if the number of cheaters can reduce while thinking of starting a business.

Let's share our experiences

You can join LPG business by buying a gas truck and put it up for hiring.

I am into LPG business and my challenge is getting a truck to hire. So good avenue

I will want us to deliberate on how we as Nigerians can harness the benefits of partnership in business. Because it makes more businesses thrive abroad. But in Nigeria here it kills the business when greed and jealousy sets in.

You said investor won't have equity but you need same investor to loan you 5m at what interest rate if I may ask? You don't want to approach bank and you making rules already, and what's your collateral if you fail to repay loan at agreed period?.... whoever owns the money owns the business....best of luck

Whoever owns money doesn't own the business oo. You get your capital after 6months@30% int for 6mnths.

Collateral available. If you have less than the capital needed. You can join. We a looking for total amount of 5m. Which van come from many investors till its complete
