Food / Re: Does Mixing Alcoholic Drinks With Non-Alcoholic Drinks Reduce Effect? by varmint: 6:51pm On Dec 08, 2019
2019elections:

Mathematically
C1 = 30% = 0.3
V1 = 100ml
V2 = 100ml + 100ml( beverage of zero conc.) = 200ml
C2 = ?

Solution:
C1V1 = C2V2
0.3× 100 = C2 × 200
C2 = 0.3×100÷ 200
C2 = 0.15= 15%

Therefore, the alcoholic concentration has reduced by half upon addition of a 100ml beverage of zero concentration.

Jh0wsef:
Nope. if you mix 30% alcoholic drink in a full pepsi bottle. It only changes the taste, but the Alcohol level still remains 30%.

So let us not deceive ourselves and face reality jehjeh.
Great hypothetical situation but weak mathematics
Let's assume the drink was 100ml to begin with, 30% alcohol means you have 30ml alcohol in the drink. When you add a non alcoholic beverage say another 100ml, you have a 200ml drink with only 30ml alcohol. This reduces the alcoholic content to 30/200 now which is 15%.
So in way, it reduces the alcoholic percentage of the drink while the alcoholic volume remains constant.

Programming / Re: Web Development: How Much Will It Cost To Learn? by varmint: 6:40am On Nov 26, 2019
I don't know who your guy is but in my opinion, I think it's better to use Udemy. You can buy courses for as low as $9.9. I've bought a number of courses on udemy ranging from web development to object oriented programming to graphics and even e-commerce. They don't disappoint!

Family / Re: The Poor People In Nigeria Are A Terrible Lot- Nigerian Lady Says, Gives Reasons by varmint: 10:24pm On Nov 10, 2019
Xisnin:

She is guilty of everything!

I didn't accuse her of stereotyping, everybody including you agreed that her post was about stereotype.
You even defended the act by arguing it is necessary.

The fact that you keep bringing up her samaritan side shows that you haven't grasped the essence
of running a business. You don't run a business on emotion or blame game.

No sound businessperson will pay a higher wage and take bigger risks for a service they can get cheaper
with no risks.
The boy isn't some super skilled one in a million coder that every company is seeking
He is an unskilled applicant at best.
Why the hell did he get special benefits?

This woman is a very poor manager.
Worse still, she is still blind to her mistakes, didn't know what she did wrong,
can't accept responsibility and prefers to blame "poor" people for her poor choices.

If she managed my business, she would be fired for incompetence and irresponsibility.

Peace brother

A reckless businesswoman hired a boy who is not qualified according to the industry regulations.
Then, she got burnt in the process and decide to attack the "poor".

It isn't the poor who run down several banks in the Sanusi era, it is not the poor that accept contracts
and refuse to execute them. It isn't the poor that connive with suppliers to defraud their company.
It is unfortunate that I need to point this out in the first place.

If you took just a minute to think unlike this lady, you would realize that all her current employees
are most likely poor and they couldn't give her a similar problem because she probably followed the rule
while hiring them.

Apparently, neither she nor you got the real lesson from this experience.
She shouldn't have burdened the business with unnecessary risks.
She shouldn't treat a business like a charity and lastly, she should have accepted
responsibility for her failure as a manager instead of looking for the poor to blame.

In case you still think this is a problem of the poor, let her fire all her terrible poor workers and hire the rich.
Let us see how successful her eatery will become with the saintly and loyal rich staff.
Oh, the rich won't accept her slave-level wage, to begin with.

Anybody who can't connect basic dots has no business running a business.
3 months, paying for his hospital bills and paying salary too. While he wasn't really working. I couldn't allow him to work till he had completed his treatment. So I just housed, fed and paid hospital bills plus salary for 3 months
What part of that did you miss?
To confirm with standards, she even paid his hospital bills, on seeing that standards have not been met(he still had hepatitis), she fired him. Now tell me how it's still her fault.
First you accused her of stereotypes, now you accuse her of flouting standards. What else will you accuse her of seeing she isn't guilty of these accusations you're leveling against her

Lady: I helped an orphan who betrayed my trust. Therefore, poor Nigerians are a terrible lot.

What a dumb conclusion!

I hope she doesn't use this same fallacious reasoning in her business otherwise it will fail.

Gaming and scheming are not restricted to the poor, neither is it exclusive to Nigerians.
Unfortunately, generalisations and stereotypes are very much needed even in business. Sometimes, you've got very little time to make a decision and you have to follow some beliefs you hold which are usually stemming from past experience, these are stereotypes and generalisations. You've got to do this a lot because you can't go on having a thorough check for every decision you need to make.
Saying it's a dumb conclusion doesn't make you appear more intelligent

You can't even post your opinion on this thread. If you want to criticize a negative part of the the manufacturer, you'd better stay off this thread before the sharks come for you

BTW, those people insulting the critic appear to be of low intelligence because they can't bring a counter point to the points he made

Just a friendly piece of advice, if that guy that demands 60k per week later turns around to accept 30k per week, don't make the mistake of taking his car. Those are the kind of people that want you to labour for them. You'll never satisfy them and the relationship will have a bitter end. Just a brotherly piece of advice.

Must everything be political? We are our own problem in this country, so you can't make a point without sounding naive and senseless.

I served in Ekiti state and during my sojourn I visited Ikogosi in 2016 which was still effective as at then.

What you saw in 2015 was the work of Fayemi, here is Fayose's work
