Please who else is seeing no dates available on their appointment page

Hello guys! Am currently filling my DS 160, Please I need your advice. Is it advisable to say No when someone have a sibling in the US?

If this is your first time please say no. That is what messed me up

What does your sponsor do in the US, how did he get into the US and what is his status. These are the reasons for denial. Your sponsor being in the US does not directly leads to a visa Denial

Works in tech, he was an F1 student who migrated, he is a legal PR & married to a citizen.

I got denied and it’s definitely cause my sponsor was in the US. The VO asked if he stays in Nigeria and as soon as I said no. She just began typing and handed out the blue slip.
So I would like to know what happens if I change my sponsor to my mum after being denied is that another red flag? Or should I just sit this US thing out so I don’t complicate things

N.B: I have 4.2/5 GPA and the transcript I have is official cos my school doesn't give student copy so I had to pay for official transcript which I have the soft copy in my mail.

All the information you need is on the school website. Just check your course requirements, if you will need a supervisor you will be told. Since you have an official transcript, i guess you can do the upload yourself.

Yes I have secured admission elsewhere. I checked it before I applied but I still applied cos it was free. I like to keep my options open.

I think you should look at the course requirements. If you can provide everything then try. I did a google search of all the schools offering my course and applied to each and everyone whose requirements I could met. I just tried, if it works out great, if it doesn’t..you try another

Yes they are waiving. I applied there but got rejected on the grounds of low GP. Just make sure your OFFICIAL transcript is uploaded by your school. You will need to send the link to someone in exams and records who will upload it for you and you need one reference letter too…maybe the number of reference letter can vary based on the course you are going for.

don’t even waste your time asking questions on this thread because it is the most useless thread on nairaland. I have gone through most of the pages nothing significant is being spoken all talked about is Appointment and transcripts. Any newbies shouldn’t depend on this thread at all until he has secured admission then come here to talk about appointment and share your transcripts. No one is ready to share vital information in securing admission in here.

To secure admission, you should be ready to do the work. Google is your best friend. Google up schools offering your course & go through them one after the other to see if you meet the requirements. You can’t expect people to do everything for you.

Hello, I have a similar issue just that my brother stays in Georgia while my school is in florida. He is also my sponsor. Is that bad?
