Righteousness2:isreal will be hit badly again. The Zionists are angry — and it shows in their behavior — because last night they received significant blows from Iran. Now, they must await another response from the great Iranian nation, one that will be of a completely different scale and quality than ever before! Isreal is targeting unarmed journalist lol... |
lordm:And who told you iran is completely void of technology, Missiles are technological art . And this piece of art work rains hell fire on isreal last night |
Let’s back up a bit. The US, with a coalition of EU countries, battered Yemen for weeks and months and still couldn’t defeat the Yemenis. And they seriously think if they allowed the psychopathic Israeli Prime Minister to drag them into a war with Iran they can defeat Iran? You couldn’t beat a tinpot but brave Yemenis. We are talking about Iran, a country that has everything Yemen doesn’t have. They have hypersonic missiles, submarines, air defense systems, ballistic missiles, airports, and a massive amount of drones in a country with a land size bigger than Germany and France put together. The US couldn’t defeat the Taliban after 20years in Afghanistan, with trillions of tax payers’ dollars up in flames and almost 3,000 dead American military personnel. Why are the average politicians very stupid most of the time? Any thought of going to war with Iran is insane and American citizens should resist this suicidal invitation. Photo: Burning Israeli city of Tel Aviv last night. It might be too late to say .... Israel cannot defeat Iran ...

GeneralDae:You are now answering the question yourself , Ghana economic conditions improved significantly and the cedis appreciation is not necessarily as a result of debt suspension but a strong macro economic growth. Simple. Anyway Ghana is currently earning more on crude oil than cocoa . Therefore cocoa is in third position.. third biggest export not Ghana second biggest export. What makes cedis resilient is not debt suspension but macro and micro economy condition that improves significantly. The president ascertain. |
GeneralDae:your case is absurd , Zambia kwacha and Argentina pesos didn't improved despite suspending debt payment , why do you Ghana cedis supposed to improved when she did the same . Debt payment suspension doesn't address structural problem, it only gives breathing space . It is time bound. Nothing significant. All indices indicate Ghana macro economic conditions to be in good condition . From the president himelf addressing the Issue ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYMQjjlfi5U?si=2Kz80MEpwn7DNPe3 Ghana new capital City... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rROlr8yQxFw?si=LcE2jkKghXsawriT |
GeneralDae:very absurd. Gold is adding up yes ,but stating that pausing payment also contributed to a stronger cedis is flawed . I have given you Zambia , Argentina case as an example. Your currency cannot skyrocket to 42 percent high against the dollar if your reserved is not strong ( that is just more than enough than what payment pospontment can caused ) Ghana is busy expanding is Gold reserve ( Ghana currently owns the largest gold reserve in West Africa )coupled with increased imf support , the last trenched of the money borrowed will soon hit Ghana bank in the coming month, it will add up to the strength of the cedis again. Do you even know dollars falls in Ghana everyday ( two weeks consequtively now . Anyway Ghana govt is spending , infact the spending might be more bigger the last regime , it is just that it is a prudent initiative. Ghana is currently about building a new capital city . Accra has being reported congested and therefore Ghana need a new phase |
rvp2018:Mr Man, the gold itself is enough reason coupled with imf policy and guidance . Also the restrictive Monetary Policy implemented by the govt. For example, the bank of GH raised its policy rate—hiking by 500 basis points since December—to a 30% benchmark, ensuring excess liquidity are curbed and ensuring foreign capital inflows into short-term T-bills and forex auctions. |
GeneralDae:so when Argentina paused her payment to her external creditors, did peso suddenly went up at 42 percent against the dollar? Infact Argentina case was a brutal mistake , they try pegging their dollar with the peso and it end up in a disaster . Pausing debt payment does not improved economy fundamentals, sound economy does. Zambia is a case study. |
rvp2018:Ghana is currently under the imf program. meaning it is subjected to imf policy and guidance. And you think cedis is overvalued? Where is your bra.in? |
rvp2018:you should be more worried that three West Africa state are clearly represented. Anyway Ghana GDP is currently just below 140 billion dollars according to Bank of GH |
theenchanter:Banks to Hold Reserves in Original Deposit Currencies from June” means that starting in June 2025, banks will be required to keep a portion of their reserves in the same currency in which the deposits were originally made"(Bank of Ghana). Currently, When banks receive deposits in foreign currencies (like the dollar and Euro), they might convert some of those into the local currency (e.g., Ghanaian cedi) for reserve or regulatory purposes. But the new rule is if a customer deposits dollars, the bank must hold a portion of that reserve in dollars— not cedis or any other currency. The benefits of this policy's is too numerous for the economy stability. |
No, the current price of the naira against CFA ( currency used in all the neighbouring country with Nigeria make it more attractive. It is too cheap to buy Nigeria fuel with CFA now The naira is now becoming very useless.. |
Will the cedis fall anytime soon? Well, with this new policy, if all hands are on deck, I don't see it happening now. A dollar may be traded for 5 cedis soon
|
Gh might actually be the largest cocoa producing country in the world. most of the cocoa exported in ivory coast are from Gh. A typical example is this news today .
|
Just40:Even at that , it is not a completely monopolize market like it happens in some other countries. Close to two hundred thousand Ghanaian owns a share with MTN. |
theenchanter:the regulative framework. That is if your bra..in is still functioning. |
theenchanter:it is about learning from the best ogbeni |
theenchanter:I can't argue about your description, you know yourself more than vaxx |
theenchanter:yours is shutting down ( a small country of about 30 million is doing about 200 million dollars transaction |
GeneralDae:Ogbeni, hubtel, zeepay are rising giant. At least evidence has shown MTN Ghana ( Momo) is a successful fintech company . And when it comes to Giant, only the likes of mpesa come close in subsharan Africa |
GeneralDae:I do not need to attack you personally, I observed you are decorum with your choice of words therefore no need to attack your personality even if you fumble this time . Straight to the point , there are many fintech payment in GH. From the likes of Ghanapay , zeepay, kowri , expreespay etc and many options I can't remember for now.. I am aware Ghana has about 200 company in the fintech landscape. Ranging from digital credit entities to remittances and transfer platforms. Though based on volume of transactions, Nigeria might have an edge due to population. But we are taking about a 30 million population doing about 200 billion dollar volume transactions that is about 3.1 trillion GHC |
GeneralDae:MTn is not a monopoly in GH. They are other known contenders like telecel and airtel with strong customers base of about 45 percent market share or more . Though MTN Ghana has about 50 percent or more market share. They are too many reasons mobile money payment is not successful in Nigeria like Ghana and Kenya , although there is a progress now but not as effective as that of GH and Kenya. When it comes to fintech , give the Golden chain to GH and Kenya .
|
ProblemChild1:Ghanaian begging in Nigeria? Do you think it is 1960s even then, Ghanaian are rather working instead of doing ridiculous jobs. Some Ghanaian still collect pension areas in far away northern Nigeria where there is shortage of skillful workers in the govt jobs ( teaching, etc |
chrisooblog:sure but we are a significant contributor in Africa agricultural market despite the land size and population. Ghana even produce more cashew than Nigeria |
theenchanter:At least Ghana produces more coconut than any African state . |
theenchanter:Ogbeni, anything no be dick measurements at least, Ghana produces coconut , plantain more than any West African state. They are more, You can do the research for yourself . |
chrisooblog:fact check, Ghana produce more plantain than Nigeria |
chrisooblog:But I didn't say anything' more. Nigeria produces more but Ghana earn more foreign exchange on it than Nigeria including yam. But Ghana produces more coconut and cocoa than Nigeria . Established fact. |
